This was such an informative workshop, I would really recommend it to anyone who is serious about entering into the tech workplace. I'm extremely happy to see how my web portfolio turned out. Creating a beautiful and responsive website showcasing my work, fully coded from scratch by myself is a milestone reached. As a homeschool mom of 2 I wasn't sure if I would have the time to try to learn to code. I've been out of college and the workforce for a few years now and I looked at a handful of possible bootcamps to try. I'm so glad I went with SheCodes. Not only is it perfect for people who need to do lessons at random, odd hours, but the content is great and easy to understand. Matt is seriously the best instructor I've come across so far in this field. I've done a few self learning courses and youtube tutorials and other things but learning from Matt's videos have definitely been the best experience I've had in the last 2 years of me trying to decide if I wanted to do this or not. It's really great to be able to do this around my schedule and to learn in short, user friendly lessons with fun projects. I highly recommend SheCodes.

I never thought I would be able to write a line of code and make it functional, but SheCodes made me believe. I loved the experience, the videos in each lesson are very enlightening and the practice exercises are great. They are not exact copies of the examples given in the lessons, which makes it all the better to practice. Step by step, Matt makes you able to build something. I can't wait to continue and sign up for a new workshop!

SheCodes makes learning really fun with a great balance of theory, practicals and code-a-long videos. I've found that the structure of the lessons has helped me to pick up concepts quickly and you do feel you have achieved something each week with the homework tasks. I've also picked up lots of tools and tips that aren't necessarily taught in other self-learning platforms I've tried.
Wow, I made a teensy "webpage" for the first time in my life, all by myself! Feel so excited!! I had fun learning html, css and javascript. Ha ha, makes me feel so smart! Wonderful beginner class that I thoroughly enjoyed. I look forward to learning more.

This has been a very insightful experience building this weather application, I already have a technical background outside of development and with the right fundamentals it was possible to excel my expectations and improve my knowledge to push further than ever and most of all I had a lot of fun while doing all this!
SheCodes Basic has been fun to learn! I really like that we are able to learn at our own pace. The lessons are explained well and it's great that we can rewatch the videos at any time. I started my journey with coding in primary school, it was fascinating but I dropped it after a while and. Now, after many years I have chance to continue this adventure thanks to Matt and his wonderful team. It's clear, it's fun and it's stimulating my brain. I want to work with coding and continue my career as a tattoo artist on the side. I was looking for a long time for something which will give mi that spark and stimulate my brain and here I am :)
I have recently made a career change from working in healthcare to wanting to become a software engineer. Since completing SheCodes Basics I realized this was the perfect choice for me! I loved the idea of building the new project around one of my favourite hobbies, the workshop was really fun and provided a lot of tips on styling and CSS transformations.
Remembering the Myspace days when I was so excited to modify the background html codes to make my profile pretty & just the way I wanted it, this was such an informative as well as enlightening bootcamp! I had tons of fun remembering pieces while learning the proper way to build and begin to interact with my page through Javascript. It was a great 8-week experience to take the basics I learned in the first course and apply them to create a fully-functional weather app. I wouldn't believe it if someone told me I'd learn how to do this. The challenge was real, and there are always ways to improve, but I'm happy with my progress and the support SheCodes provided for times I got stuck. I would love to keep adding to my skills in the future with the next SheCodes course.

This add-on workshop consisted of creating a World Clock page with many various JavaScript features. It was fun personalizing the project and I have many more ideas of how to enhance it in the future as I learn more functions.
