Phew. that was Epic. I never went this deep into coding before. but making something that was actually functional in real life and not just coding practice, is what kept me going. huge thanks to Matt for this opportunity. I was thinking about learning to code for quite some time now, but I felt like it would be very difficult to make a change and didn't know where to start. I hate beginnings! I am happy to have discovered SheCodes, because it was a fun way to start learning code. I liked how easily you get into the flow of learning. The course is great. The SheCodes Plus workshop transitioned smoothly from the previous Basics workshop, continuing to teach with the same level of attention to detail and with the same focus on building from each previous lesson into the next. I enjoyed the challenge of this course to keep learning and applying new techniques, and my level of confidence in coding has grown significantly with this second SheCodes workshop. In addition to practising the fundamentals of writing HTML, CSS and JavaScript, the workshop also taught new skills, such as how to integrate APIs into an app for rapid retrieval of data, how to use GitHub, how to use a hosting service, and how to apply Bootstrap formatting. I've learned a lot, I intend to use my new skills to try to build some small projects which I've started to plan out, and I'm already looking forward to starting the next workshop!
This workshop has been very challenging, packed with lots of information and new skills that built on what we learnt in the last workshop. As a result, it has been even more rewarding to recognise that I had started to understand what I had been learning and seeing the results of the hard work paying off; all whilst being able to venture out of my comfort zone, experimenting and being creative. Overall it's challenging but fun.

As with the Basic and Basic Add-On courses, It was super fun and I learned a lot, Matt's videos were very well done and easy to understand, while still leaving enough of a challenge for you to problem solve and learn!! I also had a blast working on the final project!! I super excited to start my next course after the summer!!!
The add-on project gives further insights into how to manipulate time. It was a fun project but I think it could be more challenging.
In a stressful and now and then challenging everyday life, I'm glad to have found Matt & thus SheCodes & his team - or rather the advertising has found me through the algorhythm on Instagram ;) - so this suggests that my interests match. The course is wonderfully designed - and although I've had touch points with the basics before, I'm very happy with the " bite-sized" lessons and follow-up mini-exercises and weekly tasks. It was a lot of fun and I'm already looking forward to the next workshop.
Another great SheCodes course. Learning React is a lot of fun and it really tests out your problem-solving skills! So much support, community and inspiration on the Slack. A very challenging and rewarding experience. I would give it 10 stars if I could.
My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding Delac Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding 💜 plus I have completed my shecodes plus it was challenging but yet amazing experience the fact that I now have my first project that operates with real life data it amazes me I’m learning a lot can not wait for my next lessons and project ❤️
This was one of my best courses yet, everything was easy to follow and understand. Not only am I learning a new skill but having fun while doing it. Being able to have an idea and make it a reality is a feeling that I love. This newfound tool that I have to express my creativity is just what I needed. This project was really fun and simple in terms of design. It was heavy in JS which is exactly what I was hoping for. I loved being able to think through each issue I had and figure it out. Loved the project overall.

This was a great course! I loved being able to build on the tools and techniques from the previous course while increasing the functionality of a website.
The videos are easy to follow and keep you motivated to want to do more. I finished the basic course within a week. That's how fun it was. Can't wait to learn how to do even more stuff with CSS, HTML and JavaScript.

Lots of fun learning how to add more style to the webpages
I had attempted to learn coding many times by enrolling in online classes but it was challenging and boring. Thanks to the code, SheCodes Basics has been fun and interesting.
Creating the weather app was both challenging and fun. Having the videos nice and short allows you to progress at your own pace and get a better understanding for each lesson.
The lessons weren't too long, but still had plenty of detail and practice. I had so much fun learning the basics!
I had fun experimenting with the different responsive techniques and polishing my HTML and CSS knowledge. Overall this workshop made it easy and simple to understand while giving plenty of opportunity to test out the subject.

I can now look at a piece of code and get a general idea of what it means and how it functions. I still have a lot to learn, but the basics is great and I feel like I learned a lot!

SheCodes Basic Add-On was a little more complex but used very similar coding styles as Basic. You do learn more tricks to snag up a page and it was very fun to create something based on something I liked. Can't wait for the next round of learning!
I had the most incredible experience with SheCodes Plus, and I cannot express enough how valuable and empowering the workshop has been for me. I embarked on this coding journey with little to no knowledge about web development, but SheCodes transformed me into a confident and capable developer. The highlight of this workshop was learning to build an actual working weather app from scratch. It was an exhilarating experience to see my ideas come to life and witness the app's functionality unfold before my eyes. The SheCodes Plus course taught me how to use Javascript in depth. It was a lot of fun building, designing, and then rebuilding the project. I feel like I have a great grasp on Javascript now!

This was really fun! I liked that there were lots of examples of the code available so I could follow along and customise it where needed. The clock elements are quick complex but hopefully I will understand them better soon.

This was a super fun way to learn grids! I've tried learning grids before but it just always seemed annoying and difficult. I'm very proud of what I ended up building and I can't wait to showcase this on my portfolio and show my friends and family what I made thanks to Matt's lovely explanation.
