The workshop was an absolute delight from start to finish. The curriculum was structured in a way that made complex concepts accessible. I'm so excited to have finished the SheCodes Plus workshop! I can't believe how much I've learned. I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it, even when things got tough. I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I'm now confident that I can create my own websites and web applications. JavaScript was definitely the most challenging for me, but I was able to overcome it with the help of the SheCodes resources, especially Athena AI. My final project was a weather application that fetches live data from a weather API. It was a challenging project, but it was also so much fun! I learned so much about weather data and how to display it in a user-friendly way. I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone who is interested in learning how to code. It's an amazing opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and to build a community of supportive women.
As a complete beginner, I found the SheCodes introduction course easy to understand. The final project was really fun to do!
I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes Basics course. Initially, I was nervous I would not be able to grasp much of the content, considering I have no experience in coding. However, I surprised myself with how much I was actually able to understand and be able to implement that into the final project. As well as being very informative, it was FUN!
I hade a long break over summer and came back this week and finished the final project, and I immediately got reminded how good the videos are and how fun it is to write code and get to see directly what you are creating.

Coding is great! It seemed like a great idea until you see the actual code behind all these amazing web pages and applications. I honestly didn't think I'd pull through with it, but Matt is a great mentor who makes it seem like a walk in the park. I still can't believe the simplicity and fun behind the SheCodes Basics workshop. It probably gets more complex with advancement, but with my amazing mentor, come hell or difficult code, I'll reach the end goal of becoming a fully trained and certified front-end developer. 🙂

The SheCodes Basics Add-On Workshop wan an awesome experience from start to finish! Matt's clear explanations made learning easy, and his enthusiasm for coding made it so much fun. I really love how my project ended up looking. Although it was supposed to be a page about my hobby, I decided to do it about Eminem because I'm a Stan :P I'm looking forward to completing the next Add-On now!
These courses have taught me so much in a short amount of time. I chose to take the classes part-time, but have found myself way ahead of schedule because of how much fun I am having!

Coding made so much easier and fun. I would recommend taking this course anyone out there who thought that coding was for boys and few bright girls, Matt taught me this is for everyone. Great courses! Definitely would recommend for beginners - easy to understand, great challenges. I had so much fun taking part in each lesson and completing the challenges. Perfect if you are also working full time as you can pick and choose when you want to start your lessons. Definitely have a larger understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This workshop was sooo exciting! I can’t believe how much I have learned in the last weeks… Although it was harder than expected… I took me longer than planned since I am a mom of two under 5, and you know… life happens…there were days that I’ve ended up sleeping at 3am, so I can code in peace and quiet … But I was so hooked to coding, (and sometimes I’ve got frustrated since I have zero background on coding)… right now I can say that I have built a functional app all from scratch… I just want to keep learning more and more… and see where this coding journey would take me. Thank you to the staff of she codes that always had the patience to help every time I reached to them!! And thank you, Matt … your classes are the best!

The dictionary project is a fun project overall. However, I found a notable issue with the integration of the Pexels API for image display. It seems this part of the workshop is significantly outdated, going by the oldest Slack messages, which date back about two months (as far as I could find). Despite API changes and a different authorization process, the lesson continues to rely on the outdated method. Surprisingly, the project's GitHub repository hasn't seen any updates for an entire year. Mind you, the lesson in question is only 30 minutes long. Inquiries on Slack about these concerns received a canned response stating that the Pexels API underwent recent changes. This led to the existing setup being dysfunctional, without an updated lesson. Instead, a new Images API was suggested as a replacement when asking for help in the Slack messenger. I believe a notice within the lesson itself about the changed API integration would be appropriate. Other lessons have included such notices before, so it's puzzling why it's missing here. This could save others from unnecessary frustration when grappling with a broken method. To those taking on this project, be prepared for potential roadblocks due to this outdated API setup. It's disappointing that such a significant flaw hasn't been addressed more proactively.
I am thrilled to share my experience with the SheCodes React course. This program has been an incredibly rewarding journey that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone interested in mastering React. From the moment I enrolled, I was captivated by the course content. The way the material was presented made complex concepts seem approachable, and the step-by-step guidance ensured that I never felt overwhelmed. Each module was meticulously crafted, and the progression from fundamentals to more advanced topics was seamless.
I had lots of fun learning these new languages. I hope to continue this path and soon see the change from my first coding experience to the next.

I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes basic workshop. CSS , Html and Javascript went from being things that were foreign to me ,to being coding languages whose functionality made sense to me. The reviews for the homework we had to submit weekly , helped me improve my work and always served as a learning opportunity.
What can I say about She Codes? I am transitioning to UX, and a friend of mine has recommended She Codes. I was a little bit scared because I had never thought about working with coding. And then I started the course, and I can say that Matt's teaching, the way the course is conducted, the challenges—everything helped me achieve a very good performance. I've just discovered that I love coding, and as Matt says, "coding is really fun."

Fun little project that looks nice without too much effort. It's a bit of a challenge to make it responsive without using bootstrap or the other techniques learnt in the main responsive workshop, but it's cool that Matt shows us different ways :)

Years ago I had no clue what coding really was and once I got a bit more of an idea of it I knew it was something I wanted to learn and understand. About 2 years ago I came across a SheCodes ad offering a free coding class and I checked it out to see what coding was really about. I was very interested after the webinar lesson but didn't have the time to commit to it at that time because of college classes but now that I've graduated I knew this summer I had to take the SheCodes course. The lessons were comprehensive and fun and really made me feel like I had a special talent lol. I would totally recommend SheCodes to anyone who has no clue what coding is but would like to learn. Now I can't look at any webpage the same without thinking "I could make a button like that." and opening 'inspect' on every page and feeling amazed that I can understand what I'm looking at. SheCodes is a 10 out of 10!🤩
This section of the course was the most challenging one yet but React is a fun syntax to learn nevertheless and Matt is simply amazing - I hope he continues to teach more coding workshops because this is his calling.
