SheCodes is an incredibly accessible way for women around the world to learn how to code. The lessons are easy to follow and move at a good pace. The projects are not only interesting, but also have real life value as examples of what you can do for potential employers. I appreciate that Matt always encourages us to have fun and to take breaks when we get frustrated - it's a healthy attitude that helps prevent me from getting overwhelmed. When I was a teacher, I learned that the most valuable thing we can teach our students is the ability to learn. Teaching people how to learn, problem solve, and figure things out on their own is incredibly empowering. SheCodes does that for you. While it's not always the most fun as a student (π ), being put in situations where you have to apply previous knowledge to figure out a new puzzle is a great exercise for learning. You'll often find yourself in positions like that during your lessons, but you become all the more stronger for it.
I cannot express how glad I am that I took a leap and joined SheCodes. I enjoyed working on the World Clock website. These projects become more fun with each section covered.

The SheCodes Basics Add-On is much more simple than the basic course because it's truly step-by-step. I actually did this course after I took SheCodes+ which, honestly, gave me some necessary breathing room. SheCodes+ was a bit of a struggle for me, so after learning more CSS and simple javascript with this course it kind of reignited that wanting to learn more flame. This course was a lot of fun.
I loved this add-on! I enjoyed learning new elements to add while coding your own website! It was also fun yet challenging to build another website from scratch! I'd highly recommend this workshop after completing the Responsive workshop!
SheCodes Plus was a great course after SheCodes Basics, even after a one year gap! It was definitely challenging at times, but to see a fully functional app at the end, made it all worthwhile! β¦and with live data! π€― Highly recommend! Thank you again Matt & Team SheCodes!! π€©π
SheCodes Plus was a game-changer for me. I discovered my passion for web development and learned how to create beautiful and functional websites from scratch using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript. I was looking for a career change and I was interested in web development. However, I had no prior experience or formal education in coding. I was looking for a course that would teach me the fundamentals of web development and help me build a portfolio of projects. The course transformed me from a complete beginner to a confident web developer. It was intensive, immersive, and empowering. The lessons were thorough, practical, and hands-on. The challenges were exciting but not impossible. The project was impressive and portfolio-worthy. Matt Delac is so skilled, approachable, and supportive. The community was friendly, helpful, and awesome. SheCodes Plus was an amazing experience that I will never forget. I am so grateful for this opportunity and for everything I learned from this course.

I had been searching for a course to learn programming online for a while, and I reviewed various programs and courses at academies and universities, but none of them met my expectations. When I found SheCodes, I simply felt that this was the place where I should learn to program and I was not wrong. Thanks to the work done by Delac Foundation, I received a scholarship that allowed me to start my studies, and I can confidently say that it was by far the best decision! I'm learning, having fun while doing it, and, most importantly, the dynamic nature of the recorded classes is amazing because it keeps you engaged and allows you to code alongside the class as it progresses, making it easy to take notes as well. SheCodes Basic helps refresh and update my knowledge on HTML, CSS and JavaScript in such a fun and easy way. I love how the videos are easy to follow and those extra codes and information on each lesson really help expand my comprehension of the subjects. Feedbacks from the team are also very prompt. The basic workshop is really beginner-friendly!

Lessons are clearly lined out and very easy to follow. Well planned out and split into bite-sized chunks that are easy to digest. Examples make coding easily understandable and application to real life makes it more fun.
This class was life-changing for me! I previously thought coding was an inaccessible skill and too complicated to learn without having a degree in the field. That was before I found SheCodes! I had so much fun with this course, learned so much, and was able to gain the confidence I needed to hopefully launch a career in this field. I am so happy I took this course and grateful for the opportunity. When I started on week 1 I knew nothing about coding and thought it would be difficult to learn. but the lessons were so easy to follow and actually mor fun than I thought they would be.
π Still so many new things I learned about responsiveness. Loved the input and the challenges. So glad that I am pursuing my journey in coding. The project was incredibly enjoyable. I had so much fun learning more about JavaScript's capability and being able to build a weather app! You never know what you're capable of until you give it a try. While some of the scripting was super challenging, it was still manageable due to the amazing instructions and how the lessons are laid out. I'm so excited to continue my journey and see what other fun projects lie ahead.
This was by far the most challenging workshop of all. I learned a lot about React, and I had fun solving every roadblock I faced. I won't deny that sometimes I went to bed not knowing how to fix something, but ideas came through the next morning. Thanks to all the Shecodes team for being there when I needed it! I enjoyed taking this short-term coding course, it was fun when I wasn't stressed about meeting a deadline which they are very lenient about. One day I'll take one of the longer courses, but until then, I'll build on my skills from what I've learned so far and keep practicing. This React course was packed with new information and challenged, especially the final week of putting all the components together and getting them all to work together. I have learned so much during this course, and spent hours trying to figure things out while I kept breaking it! Had a blast! React is fun. Hard, but fun! :)

Overall great experience with the courses given, very informative. I had lot's of fun building the websites / projects! Now, after many years I have chance to continue this adventure thanks to Matt and his wonderful team. It's clear, it's fun and it's stimulating my brain. I want to work with coding and continue my career as a tattoo artist on the side. I was looking for a long time for something which will give mi that spark and stimulate my brain and here I am :)β
I was an absolute beginner starting out, I had no experience of CCS or JavaScript and I've learnt so much. I really enjoyed the challenges throughout the course to help me test out my understanding and the final project was really fun to work out. I'm looking for a career change so this course was brilliant to help boost my skills and confidence in trying a new industry.

What a way to start my coding journey! I have thoroughly enjoyed every step of this SheCodes workshop π It is only the beginning, but I started this journey not knowing anything about coding, to actually putting a web page together from scratch - which is incredible in just 3 weeks. All of the lessons, tasks, and homework each week were very useful, not only do they help you gain a bunch of coding skills, they're actually tricky and challenge you! It's also really fun and has only made me excited to continue on this journey. π
I'm loving the SheCodes workshops! Matt's explanations are super clear, his tips always useful and the final projects unique and so fun to code! I would definitely recommend these workshops to all the ladies who are passionate about technology&computer science, and want to dive into coding! ππΈπ»

I actually took Introduction to HTML with a few other backend languages in college, so this course was a refresher for me. I will say, I'm glad I joined SheCodes!! I'm having fun learning new skills and utilizing them in the assignments everyday! The short lectures, the resources, and my even my girl Athena! has been very useful. I'm ready to dive deeper now ππ!! This is only the beginning!

Learning with SheCodes made me realize how much fun and useful it is to learn about programming. I loved every step of the way and struggle very little with this course because it was so approachable and easy to understand. This has been a very challenging but fun experience. This course definitely stretched me. It allowed me to get a feel for what a future in coding would be like. I know this was just the basics but it made me want to continue to learn through SheCodes and ultimately land my dream job working as a developer.
