Taking part in the Introduction to Coding workshop was an incredibly rewarding experience. We explored the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow. The tutorials and video guides made learning feel accessible and fun, no matter your starting point. This journey has not only solidified the basics for me but also fueled my already burning passion for IT. Iβm proud to say Iβm one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a junior developer, and this workshop has been a meaningful part of that path.

The SheCodes Plus course was a lot more advanced and a lot more exciting! I really felt like I was being challenged to push my understanding of how things work. I went through a few tricky moments with JavaScript functions and organising my code properly to make it all work but the resources, Matt's videos and help from the Slack channel go me through! Very excited to have produced a fully functioning weather app using an API.

I enjoyed completing the 8-week SheCodes Plus course. The curriculum offered an in-depth exploration of advanced HTML and CSS, while also building a strong foundation in JavaScript through its focus on data types, functions, and development workflow. One of the highlights was learning how to integrate APIs, which gave me valuable insight into real-world application development.
This was an amazing beginning! I am excited to continue on this journey. I have successfully designed a page that is interactive with the user. I never expected it to be this fun. Thank you to the teamβhigh five!
My initial thought about AI was 'intimidating' but SheCodes changed that. Because of SheCodes, I've learned that AI isn't so bad. It's actually a very useful tool if we use it correctly. Learning to build a webpage with AI in this workshop was both fun and helpful. This was a great introduction to the basics of coding. The lessons were clear and concise, but left enough curiosity to google some things myself. I have found Athena to be helpful in correcting code, and the corrections were explained well so I knew exactly how to rectify my code in future. Overall, it has been a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to progressing to the next step of my coding journey.
Thoroughly enjoyed the AI poem project. Was as much fun to make, as it was to play with afterwards.

This was a thrilling experience, I enjoyed myself. I joined SheCodes knowing absolutely nothing about coding and now I am glad I joined, Matt is a wonderful facilitator who made the material seem so easy and made learning fun. Working on the SheCodes World Clock project was such a rewarding and fun experience! It allowed me to apply new skills in JavaScript and Moment.js to create something both practical and interactive. I loved the challenge of integrating different timezones and the ability to personalize each city's clock, while also learning about how to handle timezone offsets and dynamically updating the UI. It was a great hands-on way to deepen my understanding of working with dates, times, and APIs. Plus, seeing the world clock come together in real-time as I selected different cities made the whole project feel incredibly rewarding. This project was an awesome blend of learning, problem-solving, and creativity!
React was really really challenging!! Despite having a solid foundation in vanilla JavaScript, react had me going through sleepless nights trying to code, fix codes, figure out what I am to do, or what I am doing wrong. Nonetheless, it has been the most rewarding workshop because I learnt a whole lot of new techniques - I was able to create components to structure and streamline codes in order to build powerful apps. I learnt how to build interactions using functions, closure and state-management. At the end of the workshop, I was able to build a sophisticated weather app using react, and then hosting my application online. Once more, I would like to thank Matt and the SheCodes team for the great workshop and timely support rendered throughout the process.

It was great to refresh my coding skills with this new add-on workshop. I did it in one day, just could not stop coding. Using CSS grid and animations, as well as changing theme with Java Script are great additions to my web developer skill set. Really enjoyed this little project which helped me to finally put together all my favourite coding resources. Matt managed to explain concepts in his usual easy-to-understand manner. I had a lot of fun choosing images, picking colour palette, playing around with different types of animations and filters. Coding is addicting!
