Another successful instalment of the SheCodes workshops! Did not realize I'd derive this much enjoyment in adapting my code for mobile applications. The lessons were well-explained and parsed, as always, and the final project was a particularly fun and creative one.

It's been a very tough course, but I enjoyed wrecking my head to find a solution. And I am so proud to have built a working homepage with so many fun features!

Finally finished my basics and add on workshops and I already feel so knowledgeable about css, html, java and all the funs things I can create! Super excited to keep learning and growing my skills.

I highly recommend SheCodes, it's beginner friendly, the videos are easy to follow and the SheCodes team is very helpful on slack whenever you are stuck. Working on the weather app was so much fun even with all the bumps on the road.

I really enjoyed this course which is a continuation of learning how to use functions when creating a web-site using react. The instructions are clear and but also challenging so that you can learn as much as possible whilst working through them.

This course is definitely less information-dense than SheCodes Plus and, since you don't use JS to make a website responsive, much easier to understand! I also think the way Matt explains how to use Bootstrap in this course is much clearer than in SCP and you learn fundamental skills to make your website look great on all devices :) I personally still struggle a bit when Matt becomes messy and confusing but he's also really funny and engaging - never boring!

I really enjoyed creating this landing page. Embedding links and making the page responsive was a challenge that I found fun! Excited to continue onto my next workshop. 🌟

Over the past decade or so, I have served as the head of various departments of technical engineers and developers. During this time, my daily routine has transitioned from hands-on engineering towards managing, strategising, and coordinating projects. Though I've made a few attempts at coding, the knowledge I've acquired has largely been left to gather dust in the back of my mind. Nonetheless, I've always harboured a desire to play a more hands-on role. With this in mind I decided to to reignite my passion and embarked on my SheCodes journey, starting with the Basics course. It's been nothing short of a revelation. This course has helped me reconnect with my natural coding ability, offering an enjoyable and exciting way back into the world of coding. The material was engaging and the videos are knowledgeable and approachable. The fact that I could study at my own pace, fitting the course around my schedule, was an added bonus. It was a joy to return to the nuts and bolts of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript after such a long hiatus. What I particularly appreciated was the process of re-engaging with problem-solving, the kind of critical thinking required to build something from the ground up. The course reminded me of how much I enjoy the creativity involved in coding, the challenge of making something functional and aesthetically pleasing. It's been a pleasure to have that part of my brain engaged again, and to feel my passion for coding rekindled. Looking ahead, I am particularly excited about starting the SheCodes Max course. I feel it is the perfect next step to dive deeper into coding and explore its many facets that blend creativity and engineering. So, to anyone considering a coding course, I would say go for it. Whether you are a seasoned developer or a beginner, SheCodes provides a fantastic environment for learning, growing and reigniting your passion for coding. It certainly did for me.

Shecodes is the best institution, teaching in a slow pace, very beginner friendly. I learned how to build and launch a fully functioning website in 8 weeks.

The SheCodes workshop has not only taught me HTML, CSS, Javascript, React and many more technologies. It has also increased my confidence, helping me overcome imposter syndrome and enhance my problem solving skills whether this be through the challenges, weekly homework or final projects. I had such a wonderful experience. I learned how to code on my own pace while having fun!!!

I found the SheCodes Plus workshops challenging but fun. I learnt a lot, and really expanded the skills gained in the Basics programme. The early weeks go over what was previously learnt and I found that a useful way of consolidating my learning, and building my skills. I was really pleased with the project I was able to create in such a short space of time. For absolute beginners, like myself, this is a perfect combination of hand-holding (via the informative videos) and encouraging you to find solutions. A really interesting and informative course.

Honestly, I didn't imagine myself in tech a lot, but SheCodes gave me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I'm sincerely grateful for. I was worried if I'd do well or if it wouldn't be my place at all. However, Instructor Matt with his step-by-step patient instructions helped me out. It wasn't a walk in the park always but seeing my code work got me smiling big! I had a great time learning. Unlike other coding resources, this was very interactive and had lots of fun to do. I was looking forward to the projects and to testing out the knowledge. I also liked being able to work and learn at my own pace but still being encouraged to work to a deadline.

SheCodes offers super fun, easy to follow courses. The deadlines are reasonable, and explanations are very clear, kudos to Matt. Also, I must say the UI of the page is amazing.

Quick and fun project!

I would compare taking this course to a rollercoaster ride. It was fun, challenging, and personally frustrating for me for like 85% of the time. But what stood out to me the most, — and honestly what pushed me to finish the course — was the constant encouragement from Matt. He acknowledges that learning how to code is tough and that we'll DEFINITELY be stumped from time to time with the course homework and challenges. Yet he emphasized that these are vital stepping stones in the learning process and that the end result will be rewarding — and indeed it is! I highly recommend this course and Matt's empowering approach to anyone eager to learn how to code.

I loved this eight weeks workshop because I learned about javascript functions, Ajax, search engines, API, Github, hosting, and many more. Matt is truly blessed with structure and easy ways of solving problems. I recommend you apply for this workshop and see how fun it is.

The SheCodes Responsive Add-on Course has taught me more about grids, tables, and filters. It was a challenge to make the entire site responsive, but it was fun learning new ways to code in css and html. The travel project is one of my favorite projects so far. I have enjoyed this course and I look forward to the React Add-on Course next.

It was a very fun course! I learned a lot about React but I still know what my limitations are. I love how it is self paced, and how much help I get if I am stuck!

The more you learn, the more fun it is! All those small projects where you can test yourself if you understood everything is very helpful.

Matt is an outstanding teacher! He is incredibly talented at simplifying complex concepts and at introducing the correct pieces of information sequentially in order to build foundational knowledge. Also, he has a very kind & soothing voice and demeanor. When listening to multiple hours of lectures, it's extremely helpful to enjoy the teacher's voice and personality. He's also funny and adds in bits of humor to some recordings. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
