I already had some experience coding from when I was still in school, but it was never really explained in a way that actually made it easy to understand or fun. Matt did a great job explaining everything, and it was very rewarding to see myself make such progress in a short amount of time. The weekly homework really helped when testing things out for yourself.

As someone keen on deepening my understanding of web development, the Add On Plus course was a game changer. The course was undoubtedly challenging, pushing my boundaries beyond the basic courses I had taken earlier. However, the practical exercises were instrumental in highlighting my growth. The hands-on approach, especially with complex JavaScript functionalities, solidified my learning and boosted my confidence. A significant part of this learning journey was the integration of GitHub. This platform was not just a repository for my code; it became a dynamic learning tool. GitHub tracked my progress, pinpointed errors, and, most importantly, showcased my accomplishments. Enjoyed the basic add-on lessons. I find it very useful in solidifying the fundamental knowledge, especially for the Javascript.

I started She Codes courses 2 years ago, and since then I pursued a career as a frontend engineer and already had the opportunity to work with two different companies. With this Plus Add-on, in the first part of the workshop, I was able to learn more about HTML inputs, labels and select. The second part was more focused in Javascript and how to build a world clock using moment.js as a final project. Personally, I found this super intuitive and really fun to create.

Building the Weather-App with React was definitely a challenge. It was the most difficult workshop I had so far but it was fun learning all those tricks and how to built your code better and more efficient.

Great and fun learning experience on SheCodes. Previously, I struggled a lot trying to pick up javascript on various online platforms. I liked that SheCodes broke down the teaching in bite size which makes it really easy to follow and digest the content. Complex functions were also explained in layman terms, which helps alot in understanding what all the codes are about and why they are structured in those manner (which most platforms didn't care to explain). The weekly schedule also works well in pacing my learning and stopping my procrastination in completing the workshop.
I am so glad I took the basics workshop. As an absolute novice, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about coding but having taken the workshop, I realize now-- I love coding! The lessons are very easy to follow and completing this workshop has given me the confidence to continue on this path to learning more and increasing my skillset. Not to mention the challenges are so much fun to do! I highly recommend this workshop to anyone who is thinking about a career in coding or just wanting a fun new skill to learn.
