SheCodes was recommended to me by a family member. I was not consistent at first but as I continued, I found the lessons and challenges to be fun and finally, I was able to complete. The lessons were fun and very informative!

Code is fun !

Before joining SheCodes, I had little to no experience with coding. I was always curious about how websites were built, but I didn’t know where to begin. SheCodes changed everything for me. Through their beginner-friendly workshops, I learned how to build real web pages using HTML, style them beautifully with CSS, and bring them to life using JavaScript. The lessons were clear, engaging, and packed with hands-on practice. What I appreciated most was the supportive community and the confidence the programme gave me. Now, I can build interactive landing pages, design layouts from scratch, and even understand the logic behind JavaScript functions — something I never thought I’d be able to do. SheCodes truly opened the door to tech for me, and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come!

The SheCodes React Add-on course was a game-changer in my coding journey! It took my understanding of React to the next level with practical, hands-on learning. One of the highlights of the course was building a Dictionary App—a fully functional project that allowed me to apply everything I had learned about components, props, APIs, and responsive design. Creating the Dictionary App boosted my confidence in working with real-time data and managing React components effectively. It was so satisfying to see the app come to life and realize just how much I’d grown as a developer. The lessons were clear, the challenges were engaging, and the support from the SheCodes community made the experience even more enjoyable. I now feel more prepared to take on more advanced projects and excited to continue growing as a front-end developer.

Python AI was so much fun! Building a travel itinerary with code? That was nothing short of amazing. I still have a love-hate relationship with indentation (it continues to be a pain), but this time around, the concepts started making sense. I don't even know how - but wow! It all clicked, and I actually felt powerful writing code that could think and plan.

Learning Python was a surprisingly fun experience. I didn't have a lot to say at first, but one thing that stood out is that indentation was a real struggle! It tripped me up more times than I would like to admit. Still, I pushed through, and I am proud of how far I have come.

I loved this add-on to SheCodes Basics. I learnt just how powerful JavaScript can be and how it can be dynamically applied to HTML. Learning how to create a dark mode was fun too. I'd recommend this workshop to anyone wanting to get a good grasp on frontend basics!

The Vanilla Weather App was an amazing project to deepen my JavaScript skills! I learned how to work with APIs and build a user-friendly interface with real functionality. It really showed me how far I’ve come – and inspired me to keep going!

Building this AI generator was so fun! I was a bit intimidated at first because it's been a while since I last did a SheCodes workshop, but the steps were easy to follow and I just kept remembering everything Matt taught in previous workshops. I tried to build something to make someone's day sweeter, no matter how they're feeling. Hope this puts a smile on someone's face!

What a tough one but I am incredibly proud of the skills I've gained and applied in building my recent Python project, which successfully visualizes global internet population trends. This endeavor honed my proficiency in data handling and processing using the csv module, enabling me to efficiently extract and prepare raw data. I further enhanced my capabilities in data structuring, expertly leveraging dictionaries to organize complex information by continent for seamless access. The project culminated in my adept use of matplotlib.pyplot for data visualization, where I transformed numerical data into an insightful and professional line graph, demonstrating my ability to create clear, customized, and compelling visual narratives. Overall, this project significantly deepened my command of core Python fundamentals and reinforced my passion for data-driven problem-solving, it was not easy with so many breaks, but definitely worth it.

SheCodes is the best! 🌟 The lessons are super easy to understand and they guide you step by step through everything. This was fun! What puzzles me is just how Matt explains everything so clearly making it easy for one to follow and grasp each concept. There were challenges however, after completing each task you enter a new horizon of coding with even more exciting things to learn. I found Python basics relatively logical after my initial struggle with JavaScript. It's really nice to be able to spot the parallels between the two coding languages. Thanks to the patient breakdown of Pythons key words and functions from Matt, I think I've got a solid basis to build on now. Excited to see what else can be done with Python!

SheCodes Basics Add-on has been so much fun! A huge thank you the SheCodes team for being there when I had questions🥰! With the addition of new concepts such as grids, CSS transform, and class manipulation, Add-on has been a great addition to my coding journey. One of the most valuable things I’ve learnt is how to improve the consistency of styling via the use of fraction units within grids to ensure that images displayed in a grid are of the same size and take up the same space. Being able to utilise the information that has been taught throughout the course within the Final Project has been a great way to apply my knowledge and learn how to rectify coding errors.

As someone completely new to coding, joining SheCodes has been an eye-opening and empowering experience. I’ve had the chance to explore HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—and to actually build something real and personal, like my own photography-themed webpage! I really enjoyed the React Add-On workshop. I learnt to build a fully functional dictionary, showing meanings, examples, synonyms and images related to the word. The project involved using APIs and react loops, also splitting application into different components to ensure they are clear, and easy to understand/manoeuvre. It's really amazing to have made it this far in my coding journey, starting from understanding html basics to vanilla javascript, python and react- I thank Matt for his great and detailed tutorship as well as the SheCodes support team for their prompt support/guidance whenever needed.

I had so much fun completing the SheCodes Basics course and learnt so much in 3 weeks! It was a great 8-week journey to better understand HTML structure, CSS styling, and JavaScript — from functions and elements to events and all the fun bits in between.
