SheCodes Plus workshop was a fun was to learn about APIs and how they can make a developer's life easier. Making complex functionalities such getting current weather of a specific city, so easy. It was challenging working with concepts such as looping through objects but really enjoyed it as it expanded my knowledge in APIs and how to utilize them for future projects.
This was the toughest 3 weeks of my life but I made it through. It was fun, I cried I got frustrated and all the in between but I enjoyed the challenges and creating my own landing page. The content is relatively easy to follow and informative making it easy to follow and learn.
I had so much fun doing this and learning how to make websites a lot better for those not on Computers!

I just completed the SheCodes Plus, Plus AI, and Plus Add-On workshops. Across these modules I went from writing basic scripts to shipping real, user interface tools. In SheCodes Plus, I built a fully interactive weather app with forecast data and learned modern ES6 patterns, API integration, and Git/GitHub workflows. In SheCodes Plus AI, I learned practical prompt design and integrated an AI API to build my Corporate AI Translator, focusing on clean UX, loading states, and accessibility. In SheCodes Plus Add-On, I developed a World Clock with live time zones (the most challenging one so far) using timezone libraries and interval updates for real time accuracy. What I valued most: Hands-on projects, clear instructor guidance, and feedback from the SheCodes community. I found the Add-on course was an excellent next step after the main React workshop. Building a fully functioning dictionary app with two different APIs was the perfect way to practice and solidify my React foundation. The SheCodes Basics Add-on workshops were more challenging in the best way. I experienced the frustrations of a typo, the confusion of trying to understand my functions and the acquaintance of different forums to figure out why my code is not working or to find a workaround so I can visualize what I had envisioned.

Really happy to be able to understand and build a responsive website without using a framework. In the world we live now, it's crucial to understand the fundamentals before using tools such as bootstrap, and now, with AI everyone is able to code, build and make applications without know what they are creating. In the same way I could change my tire on my car with the help from Chatgpt... but I probably wont become a mechanic.
Building this AI-powered tool with SheCodesβ API was both fun and eye-openingβit showed me whatβs possible and inspired me to create more tools that use AI for good. As a beginner coder, building this Salsa webpage has been such an exciting learning journey. This project helped me understand how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work together to create a real, interactive website. With HTML, I learned to structure my page with headings, images, and buttons. Using CSS, I styled everything β adding colors, hover effects, and even a dark theme that makes the page look modern. The most exciting part was using JavaScript to bring the page to life: when I click the button, the background theme changes, and the βLearn Salsaβ button interacts with the user by asking their name and details. At first, I struggled with small mistakes like typos and selecting the right button, but fixing those helped me gain confidence in debugging and problem-solving. I really enjoyed python, at first i thought it was going to be difficult, it turn out to be much fun, one great thing if python uses words not symbols or abbriviation like from html and java. My outstanding is Matt is a really good teacher, step by step you get to understand every detail.

This year I wanted a way to capture and share memories from an upcoming camp without relying on others for photos. That idea sparked something bigger. I thought, why not create an app where everyone can collect and share their pictures in a fun, interactive way? But the problem was, I didnβt know how to code. I could design on Canva, but building an app felt impossible, especially since I couldnβt afford to hire someone. So I started looking into web design programs and discovered SheCodes, and signed up. Now, Iβm close to finishing my app using everything Iβve learned. I love that SheCodes lets me work at my own pace but still keeps me accountable with project deadlines. Even when I wasnβt ready, I could ask for extensions instead of giving up.Iβm so glad I chose this platform itβs made learning to code both accessible and enjoyable.

This multi page mock portfolio project required the implementation of most everything we learned so far, it was tough and took several tries to get the layouts correctly, but it was fun to see another project come together under Matt's guidance
