Challenging but fun
Excellent course, really built upon the initial course, and things became a lot easier to work out. Using the SheCodes API options added an extra challenge as these weren't utilised in the videos, so being able to work this out for myself gave me great confidence. Well explained in all parts, and the final project was super fun to build, watching it all come together at the end.
Once again, this was a great experience!!!π I had fun learning new tools and experimenting different ways to enhance and make a website look prettier.
Had fun learning and creating my final project. It was frustrating running into some roadblocks, but it's a great feeling once I figured out what went wrong in the code.
This project challenged me to improve how I styled and coded. I had some trouble, but the support team on slack got me back on track, and then I ended up having fun with this project and enjoying the website I made.

I've always had a fascination with coding but didn't think it was something I could learn. I somehow got it in my head that coding was something that only those smarter than myself understood. That I'd feel lost if I tried. And I'm really glad I stopped listening to the little voice in my head that was saying all that. This course was such a great way to learn and I can't wait to continue! It was fun creating a functional weather forecast app! Although the codes are much harder for this workshop, I learnt a lot more on API and JS.

Python is such a widely used language. I'm so happy that SheCodes expanded their library of workshops to include python. I took 3 python classes in college, but we never used API calls. This workshop was so much fun!

In this project, I explored advanced CSS positioning, selectors, and styling techniques. I learned how to implement search functionality within my application and investigated various methods for displaying the current date using JavaScript. I gained insights into JavaScript selectors and events, as well as how to create effective functions. Additionally, I was introduced to APIs and successfully worked with the SheCodes Forecast API, learning how to make API calls and interpreting the response object data. I practiced looping through arrays, and after much attempts, I was able to successfully display the live forecast for the week. Great project.

I was certainly nervous to venture into learning about Python, but Matt made it easy to understand and implement in the challenges and final project. If you're keen on learning Python, this course is definitely worth it to get the fundamentals down.
I recently completed my portfolio, creating a multi-page website that looks stunning on both desktop and mobile screens. The project involved various aspects of web design, and I used HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap to achieve a responsive and visually appealing site. Bootstrap's grid system and components were invaluable in ensuring the website's beauty and functionality across different devices. Overall, it was a rewarding experience that enhanced my web development skills.
I completed this workshop in 2022 but had to resubmit my project for the certificate because SheCodes revamped its offerings, splitting the React workshop into two parts. Previously, participants chose between uploading the weather app or dictionary project at the end. Nevertheless, I remember it being a fun workshop and a great introduction to React! I might even revisit the lessons soon.

I took the Basic course almost 2 years ago but then life got busy and I couldn't continue. I'm so thankful for the lifelong access, and Matt brilliant explanations. The first two lessons were a bit rough, but as they progressed I felt that what I learned started coming back. The project was a lot of fun and Athena is a feature that I've come to really appreciate!
