SheCodes Basics Add-on has been so much fun! A huge thank you the SheCodes team for being there when I had questionsπ₯°! With the addition of new concepts such as grids, CSS transform, and class manipulation, Add-on has been a great addition to my coding journey. One of the most valuable things Iβve learnt is how to improve the consistency of styling via the use of fraction units within grids to ensure that images displayed in a grid are of the same size and take up the same space. Being able to utilise the information that has been taught throughout the course within the Final Project has been a great way to apply my knowledge and learn how to rectify coding errors.
As someone completely new to coding, joining SheCodes has been an eye-opening and empowering experience. Iβve had the chance to explore HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptβand to actually build something real and personal, like my own photography-themed webpage! From struggling with syntax to styling layouts and writing interactive JavaScript, Iβve learned how much fun (and rewarding) coding can be. Huge thanks to @Matt Delac for making the learning experience so engaging, beginner-friendly, and hands-on. His approach really breaks down the complexity and gives you the confidence to keep going. I really enjoyed the React Add-On workshop. I learnt to build a fully functional dictionary, showing meanings, examples, synonyms and images related to the word. The project involved using APIs and react loops, also splitting application into different components to ensure they are clear, and easy to understand/manoeuvre. It's really amazing to have made it this far in my coding journey, starting from understanding html basics to vanilla javascript, python and react- I thank Matt for his great and detailed tutorship as well as the SheCodes support team for their prompt support/guidance whenever needed.

I had so much fun completing the SheCodes Basics course and learnt so much in 3 weeks! Matt was very good at explaining things and learning/completing challenges in bite-sized chunks really helped me to remain focused and retain information! I look forward to completing one of the other courses in the near future!
It was a great 8-week journey to better understand HTML structure, CSS styling, and JavaScript β from functions and elements to events and all the fun bits in between. The best part is that moment when it all clicks β you understand how it works, and you can actually build it yourself. Itβs amazing to see what youβre capable of creating!

This has to be my favourite project so far. I honestly love design and playing with colours, so it was a fun project to do. The SheCodes Plus course was a lot more advanced and a lot more exciting! I really felt like I was being challenged to push my understanding of how things work. I went through a few tricky moments with JavaScript functions and organising my code properly to make it all work but the resources, Matt's videos and help from the Slack channel go me through! Very excited to have produced a fully functioning weather app using an API.

I enjoyed completing the 8-week SheCodes Plus course. The curriculum offered an in-depth exploration of advanced HTML and CSS, while also building a strong foundation in JavaScript through its focus on data types, functions, and development workflow. One of the highlights was learning how to integrate APIs, which gave me valuable insight into real-world application development.
This was an amazing beginning! I am excited to continue on this journey. I have successfully designed a page that is interactive with the user. I never expected it to be this fun. Thank you to the teamβhigh five!
My initial thought about AI was 'intimidating' but SheCodes changed that. Because of SheCodes, I've learned that AI isn't so bad. It's actually a very useful tool if we use it correctly. Learning to build a webpage with AI in this workshop was both fun and helpful. This was a great introduction to the basics of coding. The lessons were clear and concise, but left enough curiosity to google some things myself. I have found Athena to be helpful in correcting code, and the corrections were explained well so I knew exactly how to rectify my code in future. Overall, it has been a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to progressing to the next step of my coding journey.
