An easy and fun way to learn. It's a new world for me and I'm loving it!
I started the workshop as an absolute rookie, but I was highly motivated to learn the basics on HTML/CSS/JS. And what an amazing 3-week journey it was! The online classes were easy to follow, the challenges were demanding but fun and the international community on Slack was truly inspiring. Altogether; an investment you will not regret!
I loved how engaging and easy to follow this course was. I've tried a couple of other introductory courses but none of them connected the material and built on concepts as naturally as SheCodes did. I had so much fun learning, and I can't wait to keep going.
It was fun learning the framework of CSS, HTML, and Javascript. Great communication with the team and happy I joined SheCodes!
Every lesson builds on the last, making the learning process much easier than I expected. I discovered that I really enjoy coding - I'm constantly troubleshooting and problem solving, but it's more fun than stressful, like I'm simultaneously creating and putting together a giant jigsaw puzzle. I'm excited to start incorporating coding into my graphic design work, and vice versa.
I would 100% recommend this workshop to anyone who is looking to learn the basics when it comes to coding. Each week, you listen to a few pre-recorded lessons which you use to complete challenges. Once you submit your own solution to the challenge, you are able to watch Matt's suggested solution. It's completely addicting! Every lesson builds on topics you learned previously and it's hard to not want to go in even deeper and explore new concepts on your own. Super fun and engaging.

After initially attending the free coding class I knew I could instill all of my trust in Matt as an instructor and confidently go through the program knowing I'm being taught the necessary knowledge to succeed. This workshop was so easy, and actually really fun. It doesn't require a huge commitment of time to complete, and is extremely convenient. If you do have the extra time and interest you'll find yourselves researching even deeper on your own. I feel like I've learned so much in such a short period of time. I had no idea about what coding even was before starting the first coding workshop. Now I can say it is a lot of fun and I appreciated learning in small steps at my own pace. I am already excited to learn more.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this learning experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in coding. When I finished my SheCodes intro class I knew I had to learn more. SheCodes do a great job of pacing the classes so you never feel too overwhelmed by all the new information you are learning. All the challenges make you think and apply what you have learned from the lessons. The main project was fun, challenging and feels incredibly rewarding to finish. I have learned so much from SheCodes and cannot wait to see where learning to code takes me next!
This has been the easiest and most interactive way for me to learn how to code. In the past I was used to learning html and css from generic apps, but they weren't nearly as fun as SheCodes. If you're on the fence, I would highly recommend trying out the 3-week workshop in order to get a feel for the curriculum like I did and be a part of the slack online project help forum. I'm looking forward to purchasing the SheCodes Plus course soon because of how much I liked this one. Thanks, Matt, for such amazing instruction and explanation of the material!!
SheCodes is excellent for people with or without coding experience. The beginner's classes were straightforward, well structured, and fun. I really enjoyed that the students are not just left with all the material, but we had ongoing live support at any time! I cannot wait to continue with the more advanced SheCodes courses!
The course is well paced and Matt is a great instructor. Some of the lessons can be challenging but also very fun once you start getting the hang of it. It's also great that you can ask for help when you need it and rewatch videos if you get stuck. I definitely recommend taking it if you like coding.

A smooth project guideline with clear explanation for a beginner like myself. Great experience to learn so much more 'behind-the-scene' of webpages that we see every day. I have wanted to learn to code for so long and had no idea where or how to start! I tried so many of the free online courses but always felt like I had walked into the theatre half way through the film. With SheCodes, I feel like I arrived early! After 3 weeks I understand the basics and the best part is, I am having SO.MUCH.FUN!
I had tons of fun in the 3-week workshop! I learned so much and it was presented to me in an organized way so that it wasn't overwhelming. Matt explains things really well and I'll definitely be looking into the SheCodes Plus React course in the future.

I have been interested in learning how to code for a couple years now but didn't think I would be any good at it. This course gave me the confidence to learn and it was so fun to see how much progress I was able to make after only three weeks.
SheCodes is by far the best coding workshop experience I've ever had. The videos are succinct and easy to understand and the challenges along the way are a great check on learning. In just 3 weeks I was able to build my own landing page using HTML, CSS, and Javascript and had a lot of fun doing it!

It may have taken me 3 weeks and two days to complete the SheCodes Workshop, but this experience has taught me an insurmountable amount about tackling my fears! Each lesson pushed my knowledge in code just the right amount, to where I could then knock out the challenges bit by bit. I attribute my success as well to, Lexi D., and other members of the SheCodes.io Slack community, and especially because I was experiencing setbacks coming from a place of doubt as I reached the half-way point of the course. But, the fast responses to my inquiries as to why it was that my code wasn't working, quickly got me back into tempo, (hence the additional two days), and eventually having the confidence to face the dysfunctional coding mishaps on my behalf. After viewing their online commercial, I was a bit hesitant at first to consider spending the $99 that course would cost, however after the free live-session workshop which I joined, this solidified my stance once and for all to overcome my fears and learn how to code! It truly is amazing to see that after three years following my initial attempt to complete an HTML course, SheCodes Workshop not only aided in my knowledge base of HTML, but provided me with a solid understanding of Javascript, and CSS basics, and most of all, a motivating community--which overall factored into my successful completion of the workshop course. My advice for anyone considering to opt for SheCodes is that, realize it's a worthwhile investment that lasts a lifetime. The skills learned in this workshop shows a glimpse of an individual's forbearance, needed to succeed in life's challenges, no matter how daunting they seem to be at first.

What I love about the SheCodes program is that the videos only cover a few concepts at a time making it easy to fully understand with fun challenges. They even provide additional resources and show you reliable websites to make you comfortable with researching new concepts or debugging code independently. With an easy to follow curriculum and a take it step-by-step instructor like Matt, learning how to code was made fun and easy with constant support via slack. With constant support from others in the course and instructors, this workshop has really opened my eyes to insane possibilities as a developer. This course consisted of easy to follow steps that helped me create a full page website. I appreciate the direct approach the instructor took. Each lesson built on the next. At the end of the course, I feel very confident using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript functions.

I came across SheCodes through a youtube advert and it was perfecting timing because I was curious to see what coding was all about. Very well taught and fun! I used to think coding was out of the question for me, as I have some trouble learning. In SheCodes I found an organized and clear way of teaching I could actually get along with, that kept me motivated!
I loved the class, luckily I had taken a couple others before this one, so I followed along a little easier with some of the sections. You definitely have to be a fast learner to keep up. This class was a lot of fun, I and enjoyed all the hands on workshops, with easy access to help if I needed it.

I was always intimidated by coding. I didn't understand why people enjoyed spending hours at a computer, and the words they were writing did not make sense to me. However, I became very intrigued by coding because I knew that it is really useful to learn. SheCodes gave me the confidence to code! The lessons taught were fun and easy to follow. I now understand how coders can spend hours at their computers--they are doing work that they love! This is definitely a course for anyone and everyone to try. You won't be disappointed! π

It was a good experiece, I had fun and got to learn a lot more about coding. I feel we could have access to more material so we could learn more about coding, not only about the project itself.
