My experience with SheCodes has motivated me to continue my education in front end development and design. Matt's passion for coding has taught me that coding can be creative and fun!
I really learned a lot in these past weeks, it has been a challenge but SheCodes made it fun. I can't wait to see what's next!
What a fun workshop! I have always enjoyed design and creating fun interactions for users, but never really understood how it all came together. Nor would I have ever thought I would become a "coder." This workshop not only taught me the basics of coding but elevated my creativity and web design skills. Being able to navigate code and develop fun projects, confidently has opened a new avenue for me. I am excited to dive more into this field, remove the quotes around "coder," and become an empowered CODER! I am so happy to have stumbled upon SheCodes! A 10/10 program! Thanks to Matt and the fantastic SheCodes community for giving me a fresh start to an exciting future.

What a blast and a challenge. It was fun to work through to the final project. Lessons by Matt are clear, efficient, and easy to follow. Assistance from Joao on Slack is always a great help when needed. I look forward to continuing on to React.
I learned to code before SheCodes for three months and was about to go crazy - with SheCodes it is a lot of fun and you not only learn a lot but also develop the desire and the urge to learn how to code more and more :-) I am happy to have found SheCodes - Matt and his team are great!

SheCodes is a good platform to start with if you are interested in learning coding basics, it's fun to work around with the codes and setup what you like. Lessons are break down into short videos with notes and solutions right after - this allows you to digest very easily and try it on your own right away! :) Happy coding!

I never would have thought I would get to this stage "React!!!". I am glad I took this opportunity when lockdown began. I have learnt a lot and it has been a combination of fun and frustration. Had fun working on this project and learning new things each week. Each week of something new I went into my project and was constantly updating reflecting the lesson learned. I would recommend this workshop. I'm excited to going and continueto the new SheCodes workshop.

Never in a million years did I think that I would enjoy coding so much! Matt and the team made everything so easy to understand and help was always on hand over on Slack if ever I got into a jam. The challenges were so much fun and I loved creating my own page from scratch for the final project. As a graphic designer I am always asked by clients if I can create web pages and I am so happy that I can finally add coding to my skill set. I would 100% recommend this course to any ladies looking to gain some working knowledge about coding.

I never thought I had the brains to learn code but the way Matt teaches makes it all seem possible and a lot of fun. I hadn't enjoyed spending this much time in front of a computer in so long and what makes it so amazing is that you learn to create. The classes are super easy to follow and the challenges make you work what you learn in ways only someone who knows so much can do. I can see how this is going to be useful and I'm super happy that SheCodes exists!

This class is so much fun. It's great that you can go through the videos and watch them again. Coding feels like an endless logic puzzle, and Matt is a fabulous instructor. He really takes his time moving through the steps and building the blocks of knowledge for you.

Very clear and easy to follow instructions. Challenges were fun and gave a good opportunity to try out different skills introduced during the lesson. A good introduction to coding if you want to try it out.
After completing the SheCodes workshop, I immediately signed up for SheCodes Plus React. I am so grateful to have found this program that made coding fun and accessible. I really look forward to continuing my education and hopefully begin a career in front end development!

I had learned a bit about coding before this workshop, but I have to admit I had so much fun learning here on SheCodes. I especially liked the self-paced timing for the lessons, and the fact that after every lesson there was a challenge, which made learning easier. If you ask me if I would recommend SheCodes workshops, I would say definitely yes. In these 3 weeks, I feel I learned a lot.
This was a new experience for me which turned out to be very interesting and fun to learn. Future generations will be very technological so I figured since almost everything is on the internet, learning to code might be very useful in the future.

Learning to code at SheCodes was so very exciting. Understanding the basics of CSS, HTML and Javascript and then actually making use of them during the final project has been such a motivating and fun experience. Learning about something I knew absolutely nothing about has been very empowering and I given me the confidence to continue learning!

I started this workshop without knowing pretty much anything about coding. The way everything was explained and the step by step task/challenge dynamic made it really fun to try and code. At first it seems like there's a lot to take in but it works great! As an average user I can now understand a lot more about how coding works and the prospect of being able to use it on my own makes me feel a lot more confident! I hope to take the other 2 workshops as soon as possible, this was so much fun!
At the first I was scary about the programing languages and all the codes. But when I start it, it becomes more interesting and fun. And it helpsme to improove my knowledge about english, so I'm really happy with this first three weeks.
Highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn how to code! Challenging work but still lots of fun. Matt is a great teacher. Can't wait to do the other workshops!
I absolutely enjoyed doing the SheCodes Plus workshop. I learn so much in 8 weeks. I know there is still more to explore but the fact that I was able build a functioning weather app and learning about how to use an API, I just want to start coding more and continue learning.

I'm a complete beginner & i had my own misconceptions about coding until i attended Matt's free introductory class where they got debunked! His enthusiasm was contagious & he completely managed to demystify it for me within just 1 hour. I'm just at the beginning of the journey & i've already experienced those moments of confusion & frustration, but every time a challenge is overcome, no matter how small, it gives me a great sense of accomplishment & my eagerness to learn gets boosted. SheCodes was a fun and creative experience! Coming from a humanities background I was unsure how well I would be able to understand the coding concepts. The workshop and homework assignments, however, were interesting and manageable with my full time job. I have greatly enjoyed this course and am already eager to learn more! I appreciated all the hands on assignments and homework which allowed me to put what I was learning in action. The final project was fun as it allowed you to express both your technical and creative side. I highly recommend this course to anyone!
Couldn't believe what I have managed to learn and achieve with SheCodes! The style of learning suits me really well and I do strongly recommend to those who think coding is not their thing to at least give it a go! It's fun and a great way to challenge yourself :)
This workshop is amazing! The learning structure is very easy to follow with very well paced video tutorials that explain everything step by step and challenges that make you replicate the tutorials to really instill the knowledge in you. Support is there 24/7 if you need it and the coding is taught in a really fun way, I would definitely recommend to anyone, you don't even need that much time set aside for it.
SheCodes has been extremely helpful in demystifying coding for me. And the Challenges are fun! But still challenging.... a perfect balance.

The Intro to Coding course was so easy to follow, yet still fun and challenging. I was especially impressed by how problem-solving skills for any issues or new concepts that may come up were subtly built in to each lesson.

I've never considered myself to be a "computer person". My dad is a Computer Engineer and growing up I admired that but only from at a distance. In my early 20's I dropped out of a traditional 4yr college and began my journey into Cosmetology. Once I passed my state board certifications I worked in several salons and I even got a part-time job as a banquet server. Soon I realized that I did not want to be a hairstylist but instead I pursued Hospitality and that's where I made my career over the past 10yrs. In March I was put on furlough for what my company said would only be 2 months. 2 months came and went and to this day I still do not know when or if I will ever return to my previous job. I started to think that I needed to change my career and did a lot of soul searching over the past few months. After narrowing down my search I decided to take a chance and start some coding classes. These first classes were very basic and less than stimulating but they made my brain work in a different way and it was challenging for me which is something that I have been longing to experience since being furloughed. I watched video after video and found that I did not like the lack of structure and that I knew I could benefit from some curriculum to follow as well. As I was scrolling through Facebook (thanks cookies!) an add for SheCodes came across my screen and I applied shortly after. These past 3 weeks have been challenging, fun and have made me feel like there will be a new future for me.
Before starting, I was expecting to learn a lot in 3 weeks but to be honest, not that much!! π The lessons are clear as crystal, the challenges are super funny to complete and the Slack workspace is very helpful. I'm so proud of my final project and can't wait to start a new workshop!

Joining SheCodes during the pandemic turned out to be a great idea. REACT is definitely a complicated language but, with the expertise of Matt's videos and the online community built around the program, it's been a fun way to learn something new. Completing all 3 programs has been quite the task but, I am stoked to finish and excited to see where this new found skill takes me.
These three weeks have been so much fun. I am currently looking to utilize my analytical skills to develop towards a more challenging but rewarding career and this Workshop really sparked my interest in coding.
