This last course took me a whole month to go through but all that matters is it was fun I learnt alot and the aim is to learn more and more each time. I had so much fun completing the SheCodes Basics course and learnt so much in 3 weeks! Matt was very good at explaining things and learning/completing challenges in bite-sized chunks really helped me to remain focused and retain information! I look forward to completing one of the other courses in the near future!
It was a great 8-week journey to better understand HTML structure, CSS styling, and JavaScript β from functions and elements to events and all the fun bits in between. The best part is that moment when it all clicks β you understand how it works, and you can actually build it yourself. Itβs amazing to see what youβre capable of creating!

This has to be my favourite project so far. I honestly love design and playing with colours, so it was a fun project to do. I went through a few tricky moments with JavaScript functions and organising my code properly to make it all work but the resources, Matt's videos and help from the Slack channel go me through! Very excited to have produced a fully functioning weather app using an API.

I enjoyed completing the 8-week SheCodes Plus course. The curriculum offered an in-depth exploration of advanced HTML and CSS, while also building a strong foundation in JavaScript through its focus on data types, functions, and development workflow. One of the highlights was learning how to integrate APIs, which gave me valuable insight into real-world application development.

My initial thought about AI was 'intimidating' but SheCodes changed that. Because of SheCodes, I've learned that AI isn't so bad. It's actually a very useful tool if we use it correctly. This was a great introduction to the basics of coding. The lessons were clear and concise, but left enough curiosity to google some things myself. I have found Athena to be helpful in correcting code, and the corrections were explained well so I knew exactly how to rectify my code in future. Overall, it has been a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to progressing to the next step of my coding journey.

This was a thrilling experience, I enjoyed myself. I joined SheCodes knowing absolutely nothing about coding and now I am glad I joined, Matt is a wonderful facilitator who made the material seem so easy and made learning fun. Working on the SheCodes World Clock project was such a rewarding and fun experience! It allowed me to apply new skills in JavaScript and Moment.js to create something both practical and interactive. I loved the challenge of integrating different timezones and the ability to personalize each city's clock, while also learning about how to handle timezone offsets and dynamically updating the UI. It was a great hands-on way to deepen my understanding of working with dates, times, and APIs. Plus, seeing the world clock come together in real-time as I selected different cities made the whole project feel incredibly rewarding. This project was an awesome blend of learning, problem-solving, and creativity!
React was really really challenging!! Despite having a solid foundation in vanilla JavaScript, react had me going through sleepless nights trying to code, fix codes, figure out what I am to do, or what I am doing wrong. Nonetheless, it has been the most rewarding workshop because I learnt a whole lot of new techniques - I was able to create components to structure and streamline codes in order to build powerful apps. I learnt how to build interactions using functions, closure and state-management. At the end of the workshop, I was able to build a sophisticated weather app using react, and then hosting my application online. Once more, I would like to thank Matt and the SheCodes team for the great workshop and timely support rendered throughout the process.
