Learning React with SheCodes was a great time. The lessons were short, focused around a specific topic and easy to follow. Thanks to that, there's no way to feel overwhelmed or bored. The challenges were stimulating and fun to do. It was so satisfying to observe my app evolving with the skills gained throughout the course. I feel like my code is now looking much neater than in vanilla project. Starting my coding adventure, I was pretty scared that all of this will be too hard for me to understand. I'm glad that I overcame this feeling and realised that it isn't necessary to have a tech background to complete SheCodes workshop triad. I highly recommend it to everyone interested in frontend.
Through SheCodesPlus, I got to learn how to incorporate real time information into my website. It is both fun and challenging at the same time but having someone to ask in Slack made my learning process went smoothly. Special thanks to Joao for correcting my code throughout my journey of building my weather application website.

This workshop was super fun and even though it was challenging because of all the new concepts, the community is always there to help you. I've done a bunch of online courses and I must say that the SheCodes community is the one that has engaged the most. You'll always find a solution to any question you ask. At first, I was a little embarrassed because I asked a lot of questions and had a lot of bugs in my code, but they truly are super sweet and always willing to answer to any of your doubts, no matter how much you've asked; and to me, that has made a huge difference because it has avoided all the feelings of frustration that you might get when you just can't find what you are doing wrong. So yeah, 5 stars to these awesome community!
SheCodes is absolutely a fantastic beginner friendly web-development class anyone can learn. I certainly recommend this workshop for anyone who interested in challenging and exploring new creativity crafts/ anyone in transition of a new career. By the way, Matt crafted the courses in a way that was effortless and uncomplicated for anyone to understand what they are learning. The courses are easy to comprehend and follow whilst being fun. I can't wait to begin my next course with SheCodes again as I am currently in career transitioning journey. Anyways, I highly recommend SheCodes workshops to anyone and everyone interested in coding.
SO MANY FEELINGS: so happy because it was a super fun journey through all these courses, but sad because it is over :) :( . This one was a real challenge, but as always Matt was able to explain and demonstrate everything perfectly. I am very happy that I had discovered SheCodes in this last summer, and I cannot be more thankfull to Matt and the whole team for having created and maintained this academy. Never in my life I would though to become passionate about frontend development. In my few years of experience, I always loved the backend component, and hated the frontend. Never understood CSS or HTML, and was scare to engage in the React thing. But after this experience I learned A LOT and actually have decided to try to change my career to be more frontend"ish" . I truly and deeply advise every women who wants to improve their frontend technicall skills to enjoy this amazing journey. Be safe!

I had so much fun doing the workshop. Even though coding was a new world for me, Matt made it so easy to understand. An effective and funny class. The workload is well balanced and the program is well structured. Also, through Slack chats you can access to all the necessary support. I have to admit that I will miss this workshop.

I loved all the SheCodes Workshops, from the first basic one to React. Over a period of just a few months I went from knowing nothing about coding to creating my own App and had a lot of fun doing it! I am currently working in the Sales Department at a Tech company and I signed up for SheCodes as a way to up-skill and broaden my technical knowledge. I started as a beginner since all the knowledge that I had was based on my MySpace HTML time, from about 15 years ago 🙂 The workshop is easy to follow and the challenges and homework fun to solve. SheCodes comes with a great community of other women interested in coding that you can connect and interact with via Slack 👩🏼💻👩🏽💻👩🏿💻and support is always available too! The past 3 weeks have been so insightful and I am looking forward to SheCodes Plus!
Thank you for this wonderful workshop on Front-End Development. It is very straight-forward and geared at teaching you how to build a functioning weather-app in no time. Additionally, every student learns how to create a project on GitHub and connect it to Netlify and use APIs for a web-app. I will admit that there will be tough learning curves. However, there is a wonderful Slack-Community where we help each other out. If you don't have too much coding knowledge, I would highly recommend this.
It was great being able to see the fun things you can create in such a short period of time. The lessons were fun, clear and at a good pace. The challenges after the lessons really helped with actually understanding the materials and figuring out how to apply all of the information. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with SheCodes. Working in the IT industry for a little over two years, I grew interested in learning about the fundamentals of web development; plus, I wanted to expand my skillsets and knowledge outside of my profession. SheCodes gave me a foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavasScript that I know will benefit my career development and growth. The tutorials were helpful, and the homework did a great job at encompassing what we learned for each week. All in all, it was a wonderful journey!
It was a lot of fun building the weather application with live data, a very good way to learn how javascript works. I'm excited to continue learning React to become a better coder! Would definitely recommend the plus course if you want to dig in with javascript!
SheCodes program is very easy to follow and teaches you the fundamentals to help you learn how to code by a quick lesson and a challenge to ensure you can apply the knowledge. I love how the lessons provide relevant information and the explanations are simple for anyone to follow. Another great thing about the program is how flexible it is to fit your schedule. I work a Full-Time job and was able to learn so much at my own pace and time. Challenging but fun! Though it's online learning, I always managed to get the help I needed if I was stuck on something. I never thought I would be able to create my own weather app! The lessons were in bitesized videos so it's easy to digest and can go back if I needed to refer back to anything. Thanks SheCodes team, I can't wait to learn more!
This experience has been incredible! This was my first time ever learning to code and I loved it! It's so fun creating from nothing and trying to find mistakes and their solutions. The only thing I would change would be to make the workshop more demanding.

Learning how to code has been on my mind for a long time now. As an UX Expert I deal with web-based solutions every day and always wanted to be able to understand the developers better. It was really hard for me to find the right approach to the world of coding. Then I came across SheCodes and gave it a try. It was the best thing I could do, because it gave me the best opportunity to take my first steps and comprehend what coding really means. The course is so well structured and so focussed on practicing your newly achieved skills. Most importantly: it's so much fun! I can't wait to continue my journey.
SheCodes Plus was a real challenge for me after completing the SheCodes intro workshop (no surprise there, we did dive into Javascript functions! 🤯). As someone who has never written a line of code before taking these SheCodes workshops, I am proud of myself for finishing this course with a functional project to show for it. What I liked most about SheCodes is that it allowed me to move at my own pace. I hit some road blocks, not fully understanding certain concepts as they got more advanced and wishing I had more time to process the information. The team at SheCodes was gracious about deadlines, giving me the time I needed to complete my work, and whenever I got stuck, I was able to post in the Slack channel for help. The moment when things started to click for me while working on my project, I felt so empowered and capable. I'm inspired to continue learning and to see where this road may lead me!

I would really recommend this three-week workshop of SheCodes!! Matt's way of teaching is very efficient and simple so it is very easy to understand and put what you learned into action. The homework helps you put into practice what you just learned, which is great since you learn best by doing. By the time I reached my final project, I felt much more confident imagining what I wanted my page to look like and what I had to code to achieve it! It has been very fun to learn front-end coding 🤗. SheCodes Plus is challenging and so rewarding. It digs deeper into more complex JavaScript functions, which is great experience. Matt also walks you through DevOps and how to use GitHub (commit, commit, commit!) and Netlify - all of which I believe are important to know if you want to familiarise yourself with web developer work flows. I enjoyed this course and am going on to do SheCodes React.

SheCodes has been first proper introduction to coding, I can't believe I've already come to the end of SheCodes Plus! This workshop has been so insightful, although it is challenging, part of the fun of coding is to play around and figure out how to improve. Using JS to create interactive elements is a skill I've always wanted to learn and this workshop has really opened my eyes to what I can create and how to code it!
I really like the structure of Shecodes: bite-sized, digestible lessons; challenges after each lesson; homework each week and a big project in the end. The course is demanding, yet not less interesting and fun. Matt's instructions are really insightful and easy to understand. In only a few minutes, each lesson manages to tap into a new useful area. I really like the networking opportunities with SheCodes as well. The student support team here is also super fast, friendly and helpful. This is my first Coding Course and I highly recommend SheCodes to any rookies out there!!
This was suuch a fun workshop. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone and everyone and will continue to push it upon my friends and family members:) (all of whom I make funny websites for). I have learned so much. This workshop opened up a whole new world to me alert(“HelloWorld”); lol. No, but really, I enrolled in a CS course at my university and am now learning Python! Fantastic course. Matt has broken down concepts into bite-sized chunks and demonstrates while he explains concepts, which is great if you are a visual learner. The practical challenges help to quickly solidify each topic and are fun and interesting. I found it was just the right balance of simplicity and complexity in this approach to learning to code. SheCodes taught me a lot about the fundamental pillars of code such as CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. I have been struggling to learn code on my own, but with this workshop it made complete sense! The videos were easy to follow, homework assignments were challenging, and the final project gave us creative freedom. I'll definitely be registering for SheCodes React later this year. 👾 If you're hesitant or debating between SheCodes and another workshop, I highly recommend SheCodes! It was more like a game where you had to "beat each level" before advancing. I'm a visual learner and the way Matt explained everything was perfect. SheCodes was a great way to learn an introductory to coding. The 3-week college-class style format helped keep me on track and on-schedule with each lesson and the videos and projects made me practice each skill at a time and in easily digestible chunks. Overall, it was a fun and easy way to learn coding for the first time.
I absolutely loved SheCodes! Matt walked us through the basics in each video, and we had resources available via Slack 24/7 if we needed help or had questions. The challenges were engaging, fun, and filled with easy to understand information. As each week passed, the elements we learned were tied together and the framework began to make more sense. I am so glad I took the plunge and signed up! Looking forward to continuing my SheCodes journey!
I've always viewed coding as boring or too difficult to wrap my head around it. After taking this workshop I realize how creative and fun coding is! I wasn't expecting much but I found myself really enjoying the short lectures and the challenges. The help from the Slack channel was also super nice because we're a whole community sharing resources and common issues. I found myself really going out in the final project and researching different components I wanted to add. You can say I suprised myself. I'm excited to continue on to the next workshop and learning better ways to code.
This workshop definitely was a challenging yet a fun experience. I was able to test my ability to be patient with the trial and errors of my codes. This was the most rewarding experience, to have completed the workshop. I will be continuing to the Plus React workshop as I would like to advance my coding experiences with SheCodes.
The basic SheCodes workshop was a great way to learn fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and a little Javascript! It's a great foundation to discover if a longer workshop is something right for you! Easy to understand and follow.
I`ve had lots of fun with the basic workshop and I am very very happy that I`ve made the decision to start learning from SheCodes. In school I`ve already learned some coding but it was a MESS. I could barely follow up and now realised that a lot was already outdated at that time. Matt explains everything very well and the little challenges have helped me to repeat and practise what I`ve learned. Am very excited and thankful for the ongoing journey with the next workshops.

After completing the Introduction to Coding course back in summer, I was looking forward to developing my knowledge and testing myself - the Plus course definitely delivered! On many occasions I found myself frustrated when working through the weekly lessons and challenges, but when I began the homework I was surprised to realise how much I'd actually taken in and that it was a lot easier than anticipated. It was really fun and I've loved working on my project, from building my initial wireframe to spending hours working on and streamlining my JavaScript. There are some improvements that I'd like to have made to the code of my final project, but I took on board Matt's advice of only coding what you understand, not copying and pasting. I know that with time and patience I'll gain an even more advanced understanding, but I'm pretty stoked with what I've built considering six months ago my only knowledge of code was (very) basic HTML from the days of MySpace!
Matt has been a great teacher over the whole workshop. If you encounter problems, you can go to the slack community and ask for help. I tried to learn coding several times already and always failed. This is the first time I really learned how to code and that I actually had fun with it. Thanks to all the great people from SheCodes! I would highly recommend this workshop to anybody who wants to learn how to code!
I've always been interested in coding, but always feared it wouldn't be for me... SheCodes has totally changed that! I think it is very clearly explained (thank you Matt!) and programmed, while still challenging and fun. Now knowing how everything on the internet is made - so cool! The Workshop "Introduction to Coding" is really well-structured and nicely thought. The exercises are clear and easy to follow, but also very fun to do! At the end, I was myself surprised of how much I was able to learn only within 2-3 weeks. I can definitely recommend SheCodes to everyone interested in learning more about Coding.

The only time I have ever coded was with myspace and even that was only copy and paste lol. it's cool to now understand what the codes mean as well as how things function. This workshop is useful and easy to understand. Our teacher Matt did a great job of explaining everything as well as show many examples.

I stumbled upon SheCodes ad while watching some tutorial trying to understand how to start programming. I usually skip ads but this time was different. What a ride this was! The whole workshop is amazing and everything is well step-by-step explained. You will learn the basics but it is enough to built your own page with some cool functionalities. And if you struggle with being patient this is the way how to work on it as well. Trust me! I enjoyed every bit of the workshop and recommend it to anyone wanting to start coding or just try if this is the right path. I am gonna definitely continue with Plus React. Thank you!
