I'm 42 and this is my first attempt at coding! I can't recommend this program enough! I had zero experience with computers (never went to college, never had a job that required me to learn them) so I have always been scared to try! This program was so easy and fun to follow! Building the Globe Forecast weather app was an incredibly complete and challenging project, but I loved every minute of it! I've thoroughly enjoyed the basic coding course. I started the course without any prior knowledge or experience but each activity is broken down and explained very clearly. This section allows you to pull together all that you have learned so far and create your own portfolio to showcase your projects π©πΌβπ»! One of the best blocks so far, and a great opportunity to get creative and have fun with your coding β¨
The responsive add-on course teaches you a few more techniques and allows you to dive even deeper into responsive by giving you the opportunity to build an entire responsive website from scratch. It allows you to use all of your previously acquired skills and put them into action. The course is definitely challenging but I like that you have the option to build your website alongside Matt or do it completely on your own without watching the videos in advance. It is a lot of learning but it is also a lot of fun to be able to build your own website and see it come to life on screens of all sizes.
Another great workshop! Learning React and its components is complicated but fun! No way I could learn react without Matt! He's explains everything so well, step by step! I can't wait to learn more techniques and more advance react!
In this period, I learned about responsive design and how to create websites that display correctly on all devices (mobile, tablet, and desktop). I practiced key skills such as Flexbox, Grid, Media Queries, and optimization techniques for a better user experience. Now, I can design responsive web pages that are both beautiful and functional.

The learning materials in this course are incredibly helpful, and Matt's instructional videos are so clear and well thought out. Oftentimes I found myself asking "But what about..." only for him to later cover my question. The clear explanation, practical examples and Slack support make it a great starting point or refresher for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.
The workshop started out easy, but when we got to the javascript weeks it got a lot harder. When you take it slow and take care to understand every step of the way it's so worth it in the end though. I'm very proud of my project and had a lot of fun creating it. On to the next phase!

I was very sceptical when I started with Python, I was sure I will not enjoy this as much as learning about JavaScript. Well, here I am with a finished project and a new found love for Python. This was so fun and rewarding and Matt did a wonderful job as always explaining things in the best way and offering a lot of information on why and how we are using specific expressions.
