I am so happy to have found SheCodes. I am completely new to coding and this was the perfect place to start. The workshops are fun and engaging. The challenges and homework really help you learn in a hands-on approach. I can't wait to sign up for the next workshop!

I started coding with SheCodes Basics and then continued to SheCodes Plus - such a pleasant and fun course, where you can actually learn how to code! π©βπ» It was so much fun to create a useful (and workingπ¨) weather app - I would definitely recommend these courses to anyone who has an interest in codingπ. I'm quite sure I'll return and continue my path with SheCodes at some point - it's so addictiveπ!!

It was a truly fun experience to get some basic understanding of how coding actually works! Matt's way of explaining the rules and "grammar" is simple, and thus easy to follow for all the newbies out there. I really enjoyed the small challenges inbetween as well as the weekly homeworks. If you enjoy the "learning by doing" approach, SheCodes is definitely for you!
Fun, entretaining and very useful
It was a valuable and fun experience. The pace was perfect and by being able to practise through the exercises/homeworkers as I was learning made the process more rewarding.
I am so happy I found SheCodes! I had been learning how to code on my own for a few months already. And though I did learn quite a bit, I was struggling a lot. I felt lost in this new world, and it was very easy to procrastinate. This course has given me the structure that I needed and it really is set up in a way that eases you in so you don't feel so overwhelmed. The lessons and projects are a lot of fun, and when I needed help the slack community was great. I definitely love the community that I became a part of, everyone is very helpful and supportive. I cant wait to continue my journey with SheCodes Pro!
I started feeling curious about coding a couple years ago but always felt it was too big of a challenge to learn by myself until I found SheCodes. I always hesitated to even start coding but SheCodes motivated me to explore JSS, CS and HTML. I had fun watching and learning from Matt's videos and applying my knowledge right after.
This was a super fun course and since I am a visual learner, the videos worked really well for me. It has been great to understand a topic that felt so foreign to me before this course. I have loved being part of a community of people from all over the globe. I also have a twin brother that is an amazing programmer and I have loved being able to learn and discuss coding with him! I didn't think I could code. I had not used a computer in years. This course was so simple to navigate for me despite my lack of using a computer. The structure of this course is easy to follow. Although the challenges are, well, challenging, I had an immense amount of fun expanding my knowledge in this new-to-me industry. Love the support from the team as well! Learning with Matt was a very unique and thrilling experience. While learning how to code, I felt like I was at a chemistry lab mixing it all up, testing and then Voila; magic happens. The challenges after each lesson and the final homework kept me wanting more. What a wonderful way Matt teaches something that is viewed as complex made simple and fun! I had very little coding experience prior to this class and was a bit nervous to take it. I'm so glad I did! It was fun to learn the basics and convenient that we could do the videos and assignments at our own pace. My new knowledge and skills will help me to be a stronger asset to my team.
This workshop has exceeded my every expectation :) I always had a curiosity to learn about coding, however never really invested much on that idea because I thought that it was impossible without a computer/enginnering/math degree and I felt that I didn't have what it takes... It was a lot of fun stepping into the world of coding! The workshop offers a good overview and it helped a lot having a timeframe to work with so you keep up with it.

SheCodes is amazing: clear explanations, funny, a course step by step, where every step is thought to be easy and always suitable for your level of coding knowledge. SheCodes Basic course was incredibly fun yet challenging! I was worried that it would be too difficult, but Matt Delac's videos were very well-paced. Each video would come with an objective for you to learn, and we are to follow up by applying the knowledge through mini 'Challenges'. By the end of the Basics course, I found myself having fun and breezing through the Project! Thank you Matt for the guidance and for giving me the confidence to code independently!
SheCodes Plus was a challenging but fun experience. I am proud of myself that I finished the course and got that certificate! Looking forward to the last two courses with SheCodes :)

I taught myself some HTML back in the mid-90s as a pre-teen. I have since gone on to college, studying Anthropology and then getting a doctorate in Physical Therapy. I have been in a career as a physical therapist for 7 years, but have decided to take myself back in time and pursue coding as a career moving forward. I have enjoyed SheCodes so far, and I do find that the UI and design elements of web development are very appealing. SheCodes definitely seems to be geared in that direction while learning how to make things function.
I had so much fun learning more advanced techniques, interacting with APIs and learning how to host. With SheCodes Plus, I really got the chance to get familiar with the coding workflow and built a really cool final project! The lessons are very easy to follow and the challenges are always pushing you to step it up.
I have done some coding in the past, but I did not feel I was cut out for it, so I quit. But after reading the testimonials of the women on SheCodes, I decided to give it another shot. And I am so glad I did. I think I have found my passion and start a career in IT. Matt is a great teacher, he makes coding easy and fun. I am really excited to start SheCodes Plus.

I really enjoyed this course. Matt is a great instructor and the challenges were fun and engaging. This is a great introductory course to coding. Even if you're not able to afford to take the advanced classes, I feel like the beginner one still gives you enough tools to learn the basics and continue learning on your own, if you want. The team is very helpful and responsive to any questions you may have, and its fun to be a part of the slack group with other women, from all over the world also taking the class! I had a lot of fun working on my final project, and I am satisfied with how it turned out. I'm excited to continue to learn coding, and hopefully put my skills to use eventually!
React was challenging but quick to learn and fun to put to use! After learning the advanced coding techniques from SheCodes Plus, I was really able to see how the pieces fit and how to use them with React. I even found myself able to code ahead of the lessons in some stages because it just made so much sense! Can't wait to put all of my skills to use in creating my own portfolio in Responsive!

I've never been particularly interested in coding, but when I saw an SheCodes ad one day, I decided to give it a go. It was absolutely worth it! The beginner's course showed me that coding is fun and not as hard as I thought :)
In my opinion SheCode Plus is must, its more challenging and a fun experience. I am very happy with what i've learned and I feel more confident π.
SheCodes basic course: quick to join and easy to follow. Matt is unfolding code logic and its rules in reasonable pace and his explanations are more than clear. Course presents lots of tools and inspiration sources to help you start with simple website coding. Homework tasks allow to try out freshly learnt skills and get "hungry for more". It was fun to sieve internet for additional HTML and CSS tricks by myself - if you have a good base, you can develop further on your own.
Not knowing anything about coding I was curious and a bit apprehensive to get started on this workshop. However once I did I found the lessons were easy to follow and pretty fun. Although it was sometimes frustrating figuring out some of the challenges, I was introduced to many new resources to help make my code more user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. I am glad that I finally took the first step and signed up to learn coding basics at SheCodes.
Taking this course was an interesting and challenging experience. It was a lot of fun to see how front end web development really works and give it a go. I am truly thankful for the opportunity and excited to keep improving on the next workshops!

Going from the Basics Workshop landing page including a single button to a whole weather app including API integration, search function and weather forecast feature has been such an amazing journey. Great way to learn for anyone who's always been interested in learning to code - even just for fun. The class format is great and I was able to do these courses over the weekend (for the most part!).
Because I work as a graphic designer and never learned to code in school I often found it difficult to understand and talk to developers. I wanted to learn how to actually bring my designs to life on the web but had no clue where to start. Matt broke it down very easily and the videos allowed me the freedom to learn at my own pace. What started off as a bit of a daunting "work chore" turned into something really fun! I definitely want to continue to code now!

At first I didn't believe I would learn to code anything, but step by step, lesson by lesson, and there it is: my first web-page ever. Matt is a great instructor, assistants are always there to help and the whole process was pure fun. Matt is truly the best teacher I've ever had! never in a million years would I have thought that I could learn this much about coding by only attending the 3 weeks basic workshop!!! he explains everything so throughly and smoothly, that it's basically impossible for others to not understand it! Before Joining SheCodes, I always wanted to learn about coding. In the past, I tried watching YouTube videos or participating in free coding courses online but they either too advance or lack the ability to keep me focused. SheCodes Basics really got me engaged in coding. This 3-week course really made it easy to understand coding , and was so fun!!! I'm excited to move on into the 2 advanced workshops. Once I'm finished, I hope that I can find a great career in coding where I can continue expanding my knowledge.

I've been dreading this moment! I'm DONE with my SheCodes workshops! I don't want them to be over. I've enjoyed every lesson and have genuinely had fun learning new and challenging concepts. I'm excited to venture out into the world to apply for coding jobs and feel so much more equipped after going through these programs. As a mom, this program allowed me great flexibility and support to educate myself in a timeframe and learning environment that worked best for me and my family. I am extremely grateful to Matt and his team for starting this company and will keep checking back for additional courses as I would be thrilled to continue my education with SheCodes in any way, shape or form.
