SheCodes' Basic course was so fun and easy to follow. I came from zero coding background and was concerned about taking a coding course while also working 40+ hours a week. I am SO GLAD that I did! I learned so much, gained a ton of confidence, and am excited to learn more about coding!
The first week was the hardest yet most interesting! I think I had the most trouble with the button and giving it actions. I did however love playing with designs and gradients made it really fun!
Thoroughly enjoyed building something as complex as a weather app, step by step with Matt. It made me feel confident in my coding skills. Not to mention it was so much fun to do!
The SheCodes Basics workshop was really fun! I was surprised how much I looked forward to watching the videos and completing the challenges. It felt really empowering to understand something I had always assumed just wasn't "for me". Women are rarely encouraged to explore areas like coding so I really appreciated this environment and safe space. The problem-solving and creative elements were my favourites...I spent a lot of time playing with colour gradients for my final project! I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone looking to explore something new!
I developed a sudden interest for coding after I attended the 60-minute SheCodes Express class. I am so glad I decided to enrol in the beginners 3 week course with Matt this summer, as I have never had any experience with this field before. The content within the lessons were explained so well and real-life examples were used which made it easier to follow and comprehend. Thank you so much Matt and to the Slack community, who has helped and supported me along the way. I would 100% recommend SheCodes to each and everyone of you out there. It has been so much FUN! :)))

I learned lots of new things and had so much fun these three weeks! I really liked that the main focus of the workshop is on having fun coding and seeing "frustration" just as a part of the process and not as something negative.
Just completed my final project, I can't believe I learnt so many new skills in just one week! The SheCodes course is clear, easy to follow, and with all the resources you need. I had a lot of fun creating this landing page, I would recommend to everyone to give it a go.

I joined SheCodes because I've always been curious about what coding is and how it works - I just like knowing how things work. I had previously used coding mildly using the stats software R but wanted to understand it better. The intro course was so interesting. The screens full of code always looked tedious and dull to scroll through, but this course made me realise how much fun it actually is and the unlimited creative possibilities are exciting!
This course along with the basic and plus courses make everything feel well rounded and complete. I would recommend taking this after those but before React if you plan on taking that; Responsive is a little more slow pace compared to React. The skills in this course are a must for web design and it was packed full of information, and so much fun!

"Hello World" :) (ehehe) I finished my SheCodes Plus this week and I am very very proud of the results :) I started not knowing anything about coding and about this world, to build my own weather app. Say what? :o Yes, is amazing how Matt and his team guide us, to absorb so much knowledge in just a few weeks. I will continue my journey at SheCodes with the SheCodes Responsive now: I am sure it will be great and a lot of fun! Already these new skills that I am learning are opening new opportunities for me and I am very happy with this :) I wish you all as Matt says: "Happy coding".
To start learning about coding was a personal (and professional) challenge. During these 8 weeks I actually had fund and learned a lot doing so. I would recommend the React workshop to anyone willing to learn advanced knowledge about coding! I work as a Technical Support Engineer and now, more than ever, I feel even more ready to apply the knowledge I acquired in my day to day tasks.

Lockdown got me thinking of trying new things and I thought about giving coding a chance. I stumble upon SheCodes and immediately sign up for SheCodes Basic Workshop. Thanks to Matt for making easy as he breaks down the lessons into small puzzle pieces and less intimidating especially for beginners. Making the real-life project was so much fun as well as I am a person who's up for a new challenge πͺ. Definitely a perfect platform for those absolute beginners!

I had no experience with coding at all and I didn't have any interest in learning it as I have a friend who does coding and it just looked complicated. But I saw SheCodes ad by accident and the first things that caught my eyes were the colour of the website and the word "She". I decided to attend the free class and I remember Matt saying that he built this community because of the lack of female representatives in the tech industry. This is what actually pushed me to go ahead and try the basic workshop. I am very happy with that decision because I realised that it's fun and not too complicated and now I have basic experience in coding! Thank you to Matt for the clear explanations and for the SheCodes team who are always there to help and greet us which made the whole learning journey even more amazing!

SheCodes is a fun and interactive way to get started with web development and programming. Matt is a great teacher who explains things in a very simple way. The course consists of several videos by Matt which are followed by relevant challenges. If you have never written a line of code before in your life like me, then this is a good place to get started.
SheCodes has shown me that coding is actually much more fun than one could expect it to be. Matt gave me a very clear step by step guide on how to realize my own creative ideas and literally fall in love with the process of coding itself!

Had much fun learning how to create responsive websites, totally recommend i think nowadays it is very important to create responsive websites since our very first contact with a website usually starts with our phone.

Coding was a skill that I knew would be useful for work. It was only after delving into the SheCodes activities did I realize that coding to be interesting and fun! My mathematical/puzzle/problem solving brain loved wrapping my head around the languages and troubleshooting any potential mistakes. SheCodes definitely piqued my interest in the coding world and I may have to dive in again soon!
I was always interested in coding but I was intimidated by it especially since it is a male-dominated field. After completing my SheCodes workshop I feel so empowered and I discovered that coding can actually be really fun once you get the hang of it. I love the community that SheCodes has created and I would highly recommend the course to all female-identifying people (even if you have no prior coding knowledge like me going into the course).

I'll be continuing with the React workshop, too. Overall, SheCodes is great!

SheCodes responsive was pretty fun! Again, Matt made the content fairly easy to follow. I think building a responsive website is an important skill, and now I can tell why some websites don't look that great on a smaller screen. Excited to get onto the next course!

The basics course is easy to comprehend for every coding beginner, as I was. It is a great starting point for discovering the world of coding and to check out if you're up for it. Learning is fun, videos are easy to follow and challenges help you practice.
In the past, I've had a bad experience with coding as I found it boring however after signing up to SheCodes, my perspective on coding has changed to view it as a fun way to express your creativity on the internet. Matt's videos have made the learning experience all the more enjoyable to learn about coding!

Another great course! I decided to use my final project to make an author website for my mum - it was amazing to be able to confidently work on a real-life project, and I had a lot of fun making the content adapt to different screen sizes. Looking forward to returning to JavaScript in SheCodes React!
I just fell in love. I've been so curious as to what goes on on the backstage of the internet and with SheCodes Basics I got a glimpse of how it all is glued together. It is just fascinating, exciting and fun! I am definitely going to continue with this, and if I find a legitimate excuse to spend more money on the courses (my job is nowhere near related to coding) I think I'll end up taking all of them! I am also really impressed by smooth way these guys ease us newbies into complex coding languages that can easily overwhelm any rookie if not for Matt's calm and easy teaching methods with a good dose of don't-panick-vibe. π Well done SheCodes!

The introductory course to coding is highly recommended if you want to learn in an interactive way. The way the course is set up triggers your motivation and the ability to complete your project. You learn technical language and tools to use. The time spent on the course has gone very fast since it has been a lot of fun and caught my interest very much. I look forward to applying my new knowledge to my job as a tester, and would recommend the course to others who are interested in coding. π
I can't believe I built a functioning app! SheCodes Pro was challenging, fun, intuitive, and something I would highly recommend to anyone who is wanting to learn how to code. I can't recommend this course enough. 2 months ago I knew nothing about coding and have now been able to build a fully functioning search site. I really enjoyed how the course is broken down into short videos with a theme for the week as it helps you build your skills over time. I found the content challenging but there was also a great feeling of satisfaction when I finally understood something. Also, the community they have build is amazing. Everyone is so quick to respond to queries on Slack and it's great to be able to see what everyone else is building and how they got there.
I first learned about SheCodes through an online ad and joined the free coding class and was highly interested. So I decided to enroll in the SheCodes Basics course. I had zero experience with coding and the programming languages and thought that coding would be inaccessible. But I learned the basics in a fun and didactic way. I especially loved the way how each lesson was divided into a basic information video and the challenge where I had to apply the basics directly. That helped me to understand each new concept before moving on to the next. I can't wait to study more with SheCodes!
I learned so much in three weeks and I never, ever imagined coding to be so much fun. It's somehow meditative and highly addictive. Extremely challenging but so satisfying when you are able to figure out the solution to the problems (SheCodes team helped a lot). It was fun and managed to finish this course in 4 weeks cause of its fun-ness (excuse the word creation here)
The three weeks of Basic coding was sufficient and easy to follow with demo videos, materials and useful tips. I enjoyed the fun challenges for every necessary function mentioned in CSS, HTML and JS. Now, I feel more motivated to continue with the rest of the workshops.
Before the SheCodes workshop, I had very little until no knowledge of HTML and CSS but I wanted to learn it to improve my skills as a product manager. After 3 weeks I gained new skills, and can now do more and more implementations with confidence. I really enjoyed the flexibility of the courses because I could learn it while working full time. Matt is explaining everything very clearly and step-by-step. It was fun to start learning to code! Thank you!
I'm a support agent, and I started this course because I'm trying to learn more about how the coding world works. The free class won me over and I decided to try the basic course, thanks also to Matt's ability to involve me with his teaching. I was not disappointed: the lessons were all very clear, the challenges were fun to try, and the satisfaction that I felt after successfully submitting my homework every week was huge! I may think to upgrade and continue with the other workshops, but for now, it was really nice to learn the bases of coding and I'm grateful that SheCodes exists!
Iβm happy to share that I have finished my Weather App project for SheCodes Plus. Or it would be more appropriate to say βdecided to stop with it for the momentβ xD Since the way Iβve been seeing it - itβs pretty more than I was expected to submit as homework. I tried my best to make it already responsive, though this topic will follow in next course only. And itβs firm 80% of what I wanted it to be, inclusive of: - themes and layers are changing based on weather conditions - clouds animation depends on wind speed - fonts react to day / night - the cities options are populated from Google API - basic settings of theme and units are available, along with GPS position saved due to localStorage - there are some pretty Bootstrap elements - Iβve picked up some funny pixel-style visuals for loaders and found exactly the same old-school games font I was looking for - and againβ¦ itβs already pretty responsive to different viewports. That was a challenge, especially the responsive part. And another opportunity to double confirm that knowing your target itβs already half way. Googling a right question itβs already half an answer. I havenβt figured out yet why there are issues with GPS on iPhones and some Bootstrap elements on certain iphones only, so letβs head to SheCodes Responsive and check whether there are the answers I need. (My precious) That little Ghibli tribute was done from the bottom of my heart. Thanks a lot to Matthieu Delac Aussaguel and SheCodes Team for providing the coding skeleton knowledge (and setting courses with deadlines). And big thanks to my main testers. My husband, in whose eyes I saw proud instead of irritation for me staring into monitor for hours. And my beloved friend and former colleague from Moscow - country is definitely not the limit.
I learned so much during this workshop. Every lesson+challenge feels like a fun game and it's so gratifying to be able to build a website as a final project. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in coding. I had so much fun learning and designing.
