100% recommend! Besides some Python courses during my studies in Business Administration, I had nearly no experience in Coding. However, for the SheCodes Basics, no prior knowledge was requested. Both, explanations and the course structure were clear. I finished the course in 1,5 weeks as opposed to 3 weeks. However, I found that the first week of classes took significantly longer as it had more classes and challenges as opposed to the second week. The third week is primarily concerned with the creation of a personal project which was a lot of fun. Additionally, the community is amazing and so helpful when one is stuck with one of the challenges. Even if you are not looking for a job in tech I would highly recommend this course as part of building fundamentals and self-esteem. I will be looking into additional courses.

I highly recommend it! I learned so much by following the steps in sequence on how to create a basic website. It was so much fun to watch and learn. Everything makes sense to me by watching Matt in the videos. I admit that I had some difficulty in grasping the programming concepts when I took a programming course many years ago. Now, I finally got it after watching and following Matt. And yet, I am surprised that I still remember it like yesterday.
This was such a fun class! I thoroughly enjoyed taking this course and learning more about coding. As an instructional designer, I've been dabbling with HTML, but this was more a formal introduction, which I needed. Thank you, SheCodes!

When I joined SheCodes, I was afraid not to have time to do the work due to me going to work; the SheCodes structure is self-paced which give you time to do it as fast as you wish. the SheCodes structure, the nice student and teacher willing to help you anytime. it made it so easy and fun to learn.

This was the best decision Iβve ever taken!!! I had joined SheCodes Basics because a friend recommended me to try out coding and turns out I fell in love with it. This course was incredibly easy to follow and I am impressed with what I am able to do and understand in just a couple of weeks. Coding is quite enjoyable and although it can get a little frustrating when you're stuck, I still find it to be relaxing. It's like a fun puzzle & patience is the key! I look forward to practicing & continuing to learn with these courses in the near future!
I have zero background in coding and this was so much fun for me. I remember hating the one class I took in college and retained nothing from it. This is nothing like that! Highly recommend it & the help is pretty fast for when you do get stuck.

After completing SheCodes Basics, I decided to upgrade to Plus. It hasn't been easy at times, but Matt is a very good teacher. I learned a lot and could always count on using Slack to ask questions and see what other students were doing. Overall, this was a fun experience and I can't wait to start the next workshop!
The workshop was so much fun journey for me as an absolute beginner for coding. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the workshop has encouraged me to complete the course.
I was nervous to start out as I always saw coding as such a daunting & complex skill, with many terms I'd never heard of! I've enjoyed every minute of this course. I can't believe a few months ago I literally knew nothing about coding and now I've built a fully functioning weather app. I'm so grateful to SheCodes and to Matt who have built such an inclusive and encouraging course.
I've had a great time learning React over the last few weeks on the Pro course! Rebuilding my weather app and creating a brand new dictionary app has been really interesting and fun. As always Matt is a fantastic teacher.

I am so happy that now I can say I built a functional weather app. It feels so satisfying to get results after you put a lot of effort in it! The progress that I've made so far with SheCodes Basics and SheCodes Plus is amazing, and I can't wait to see what SheCodes Responsive and SheCodes React have in store!
It has been an exciting two weeks for me. I've been trying to do this on my own for a long time now but SheCodes has made coding easy and fun for me. I enjoyed every challenge, homework and most especially the project. I'm encouraged to research and code more. I look forward to learn more and possibly start working in this field

Matt Delac is very good at explaining complex concepts, and I can't wait to advance further with the React-class. I particularly appreciate that the workshops are based around specific projects, because it makes it easier understand how we can apply what we've learnt "in real life". It's been challenging, but so much fun! And, I highly recommend Shecodes.
This responsive course was so much fun! I got so excited on the first week that I started designing my own website and I'm happy to have finally coded it into what is going to be my presentation card to start showcasing my work. This workshop was very challenging, but a lot of fun. Making websites more responsive requires a lot of patience and several rounds of testing. I really enjoyed all the lessons and challenges and I can't believe how much I learned in a few weeks. I really recommend SheCodes!
I am so thankful I came across SheCodes. I had tried another expensive beginner coding course but was completely overwhelmed as a coding newbie. Matt teaches you the fundamentals in such an organized and fun way that I was really able to comprehend what I was learning. I was really impressed on how Matt breaks down each lesson and demonstrates how to implement the code in a video. The lesson challenges following the demonstration really helps with your comprehension and ultimately sticks in your head. Matt is really great about giving you tips and tricks to find more information on your own as well but ultimately what he teaches is great for an intro course. Matt definitely gave me the confidence to continue my coding journey with SheCodes. I highly recommend this course even if you have never coded before!
SheCodes Basic has been such a fun experience! I started out not knowing a thing about computers and was a little nervous about whether I would understand everything, but I didn't have a problem at all! Matt explained every step in such great detail and now I feel so much more confident in my ability to move on to the next workshop! I think SheCodes is a great platform for all!

This has been an excellent introduction to the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Even though I thought I knew how to use HTML and CSS, this course taught me a lot I hadn't even thought of, and the Javascript was an excellent addition.
It was a great experience with a great learning effect! I had so much fun going through the fundamentals. I'm interested to build upon my knowledge and I would be looking into continuing this. Support was also great via slacks. Overall, I am happy that I made the first step. Thank you π€

I love SheCodes workshop!!! This was fun and easy way to learn coding. I learned a little bit when I took web design class in college but, it was difficult to understand. Taking this workshop, watching the videos, doing the challenges, and homework made it help. I recommend anyone to take this workshop. A good first introduction to React, had so much fun figuring out the projects!
I had a lot of fun completing this course! I had a few weeks in summer where I didn't have much to do and this was the perfect way to spend my free time! It was cool to see how I could actually use what was taught during the 3 weeks while doing the final project and understand why things didn't work sometimes. I plan to take the next course when I have some more free time in the future!
π§π½βπ» SheCodes Plus was really interesting and super fun. I've learned a lot in the last 8 weeks. I can't wait to work on more projects. When I was struggling it was simple to get help on Slack. Either from SheCodes or from other students. I'm super proud to see my Desktop Weather App working smoothly. π
This course was *so much fun*! Challenging at times, sure, but never too much so because I knew that if I ever needed it, help was just a simple click away. Matt's videos were helpful and fun and the Slack community would respond to any question I had, no matter how stupid it was, within a couple of hours. I really recommend this course to anyone who wants to get into coding. It's so rewarding to see your final project functioning as it's meant to!
I really enjoyed the course and looking forward to learn more. I honestly wasn't expecting to have so much fun with SheCodes workshops! I love that I can learn on my own pace and can easily fit it into my work schedule. All the videos were clear and easy to follow, plenty of extra materials and a tech support that never disappoints! I find it amazing the difference that 8 weeks of learning can make. SheCodes structured this course in a way that helped me solidify the skills that I had developed in the Basics course, and simultaneously gain new ones. I was able to go from building my first landing page to a fully functional weather app in just a few weeks! It gave me the opportunity to stimulate both creative and logical sides of my brain as a student of Graphic Design, so I'm looking forward to seeing how much more I'll grow in my next course!!
SheCodes Plus was a bit more challenging than SheCodes Basic, especially with three heat waves and a toddler at home. π In the end, I needed all three extensionsβ¦ But it was also incredibly rewarding! I learned a lot and it is so much fun to master all those little challenges that come up during coding. When I finally submitted the weather app I had built (the final project), I couldnβt help but feeling proud of what I had created and of how far I have come since I started my coding journey. Now I'm excited to start the next workshop and learn how to make sites responsive!π
Thoroughly enjoyed this course and the way it empowered me to not only build and tweak and find solutions to improve my own code, but also understand the backend of any code via developer tools. I'm already finding that it's uplifted my skills at work and it's been so fun learning a new and very relevant skill!

I have wanted a future in tech and I didn't know where to begin, everything seemed too intimidating. After the free trial with Matt, I got a better sense of my fear and decided to give SheCodes a try. I'm really glad I did. I spent hours on troubleshooting and restructuring because it was fun, not because I had to. Dedicating the time is key and so worth it.
I did the course in an unexpected and improvisational way. I had my concerns and my perception that coding was boring and too difficult for me - NO! Coding is fun and excited. I still have my concerns about the coding "career", but I am looking forward to the next steps and dive into more details in this world.
SheCodes is perfect if you don't want to spend hours on watching videos on how to code, Matt made short but informative videos that made it easier to understand and fun to learn!

Got hooked on coding! Coming from a completely different background (Tibetan studies and teaching German) I enjoy the creativity in coding and seeing its outcome directly. It was fun and easy to follow!

Among all the other virtual self-study courses, SheCodes Basic course is one of the best courses I've participated within 5 years! Everything was coordinated super-smoothly, all the necessary information was provided before and during the study, I got help when I asked it, Matt's way of teaching suited me very well and I had just enough time to learn and submit my homework. As a French philologist, yet being an Estonian native speaker, I've always thought that coding is only for the people who understand higher math. Well, I've never would have guessed that coding is very similar to learning a foreign language. And moreover, it's fun! The workshop has been a real fun and educational experience! I had completely forgotten that over a decade ago I used to enjoy editing my MySpace and LastFM profiles so much, and the free class I signed up for spontaneously reminded me about that. It was so great that I enrolled on the Basics Workshop with no hesitation. Coding seems fun and I am convinced that learning the fundamentals with SheCodes is just the beginning of my journey in that area!
