It was a fun journey!
I never imagined purely HTML and CSS to be this time consuming but SheCodes made the learning fun and I enjoyed it so much. Creating a website from scratch, let alone your own personal website, is as exciting as it is frustrating. Being both a designer and a developer is indeed hard, but I think this is my favorite workshop so far. I really learned a lot here since it's more hands-on than the first two. Can't wait for the next one!
I'm excited to say I learned how to create a fully function weather app in a few weeks.
I highly recommend this workshop. It is a new experience that is easy to navigate due to the support from fellow new coders and professionals. I never realized how fun coding could be until I started!
SheCodes has been a game changer for me. It has been helping me brush up on my coding skills. The lessons were easy to follow and the challenges were fun todo. You learn to find the answers that you need not only from the SheCodes lessons but also how to do research on your own to get your desired outcome. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to learn how to code.

I feel myself in the beginning of a fantastic journey to discover the world of coding. All my fears and hesitations are gone by this three-week workshop and I am so excited to see what I will learn on the coming ones. I had a lot of fun during SheCodes Plus, the classes were very clear and the support from the Slack community very helpful. I enjoyed having some freedom regarding the design of the final project which enables each student to be creative and do something that fits their personality. The final project is also something the students can showcase in their portfolio for those who want to become developers which is a great asset.
I had so much fun and learnt so much during this Responsive course! Matt is an amazing instructor and has made me really interested in coding! Can't wait to learn more and get better!
Within this course, I managed to finish this 5-week Responsive course within 3 weeks. It was not as intensive as I thought it would be as it focused on creating our portfolios, making the website responsive using Bootstrap and CSS Utility. Matt has given me a lot of cool yet important tips to make websites user-friendly on any device. All in all, I find this course super fun! And now I am looking forward to working with React. Hail SheCodes!!!!

Learning to code has been super fun! I was stumped a few times with my code, but then when I found the error and fix it, the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction was golden.
I was an absolute beginner to coding. Matt broke down each lesson into super digestible chunks. Each lesson was interesting and fun! In addition, SheCodes has a super awesome and helpful team that is there to help you through assignments. I am so excited and looking forward to learning more!
It was very fun to complete all the challenges. Specially the final project. Also, sometimes it was a little frustrating but it was totally worth it once it was all fixed. I really loved the workshop and I will definitely recommend others to give it a try!
It has been a fun experience built in a didactive way. I would recommend it to others, especially due to the self-paced aspect. In this way, you can watch multiple videos a day or not watch videos on certain days when you don't have time. Since the videos are short and rarely over 10 minutes long, it is easy to keep the concentration.
Building the weather app was so much fun! By the end of the project, I felt that I had a much better understanding of the JavaScript concepts that we covered earlier on.

SheCodes Plus takes SheCodes Basics to another level. This is an opportunity to really hone your programming skills and build a fully functional weather app with real live data. I have never built an app before and I am so happy that I can now say I have done so. There were some lessons that were super challenging but with the help from the amazing SheCodes tech team I managed to pull through.

SheCodes React exceeded my expectations. The material was more complex than what we've seen before, but the lessons we're just as easy to follow. It was a lot of fun to learn and it was so rewarding to successfully apply what he showed us. I would recommend this to anyone who followed the other programs and would like to try building an application. You get all the support you need and the weekly deadline helped me stay on track.

This SheCodes Plus workshop dialled up the volume a few notches after SheCodes Basic but, with the support of Matt and the team, and breaking down the challenges step by step, I got there. Very satisfying to have built a fully functioning weather app! I've definitely got a good sense of the power of JS. I will never take a sophisticated weather app for granted again. Merci, Matt!

Joining SheCodes was definitely one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had a programming class in university before and it was interesting but it was also really hard to understand and I just thought it's not for me but this course was not only very easy to understand it was also so much fun and enjoyable to learn, I had a blast and I'm looking forward to learning more about coding with SheCodes I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a new skill while actually having fun doing it.

I would define this experience as: challenging and fun. There were many moments where I stayed late into the night working on my projects and I don't regret anything. I decided to apply for this workshop after graduate from school while waiting to get acceptance for my university... I would say it is challenging but thanks to Matt's good explanation and help from Slack, it is a fun journey as i get to learn how to make my own weather website and i am really amaze with myself that i'm able to complete this workshop despite the challenges. Coding as my future career would be fun and interesting!
It's a pretty fun workshop and the videos were really easy to follow. The staff at SheCodes and fellow students are also very helpful when you get stuck.
I've spent around six months learning HTML, CSS and Javascript using various platforms such as CodeAcademy, LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight and YouTube to name a few. After attending the SheCodes free coding class, the material I learned really stuck! After enrolling onto SheCodes pro I've really enjoyed the support from the SheCodes community and the learning style of effectively: (1) Shadowing Matt (2) Completing his challenge to test your learning (3) Doing homework to validate your learning even more (4) Completing a project that includes everything you've learned (5) Having your code reviewed at each stage Learning how to code this way goes beyond everything i've used before and I has made it challenging yet fun!
Through SheCodes I made my first experiences in coding. It was a lot of fun, the tutorial videos explained everything very simply and since you could apply it directly, you also got the practice. I definitely recommend it and look forward to the next course.

SheCodes is a fun and effective way to learn how to code! Each lesson breaks down a coding concept into very manageable pieces. SheCodes perfectly worked into my schedule while working a full time job.
SheCodes Basic has easy to follow videos, with challenges after each of them. I had fun working on final project, so much so, that I had difficulty of stopping at 2.00 am, after finding the solution for the issue that was bugging me. :)

When I was a little girl, back in 2010, I would spend all my time creating blogs and using CSS and HTML to make my own designs, and give them away to others. I would learn from the very little information I found online and from looking through others' codes. I hadn't done any coding since then, and so I started to think if it could be a more serious thing now. I've been thinking about taking one of SheCodes workshops for AGES! I'm glad I did it, it definitely rekindled my passion. The basics workshop is amazing for someone who is trying to figure out if they want to go further with coding. The classes are very clear and the step-by-step process makes it feel so smooth and fun. The amazing community of women trying to help each other, not about competition but about growing together, is a great plus. Thank you so much, I'm pretty sure this is going to change the course of my life.
To learn to code was an amazing decision, to do it at SheCodes made the decision perfect. I love the way Matt presents the stuff. You get a lot of very well explained new information with each class but you don't get it completely chewed. Some things are easy to reproduce others not ,and you must go through trial and error until you get the right answer. This is for me the best way to learn something. I just finished the Basics level and cannot wait to continue this journey. As Matt promised, coding is really fun.

I was skeptical with how quickly or proficiently I could learn HTML, CSS, and JS in just 3 short weeks....I am pleasantly happy to share that it is possible! I take each lesson day by day and personally decide where I need to spend more time learning. I love this flexibility. If you need more time, they are accommodating but still have high expectations for completion. The final project was so much fun and I enjoyed my time creating my own site about cavapoos! I highly recommend. I will be moving on to the next part of the course and I am excited to continue this journey.
An excellent course for total beginners! I had no previous coding experience and was concerned coding would be difficult. However, Matt breaks down the information into small steps and the challenges allow you to practice what you have just learned. I was able to immediately begin creating my own code! It was fun, interesting, and easy to understand. I really enjoyed creating my final project and I'm excited to begin SheCodes Plus!

Matt was an articulate instructor and very talented at translating scripts into easily digestible concepts. I was able to reinforce my understanding of coding basics quickly--I had not had to write any code in over ten years, and re-learned everything in three weeks, as promised. The coursework was fun and comprehensive, and the videos made it easy to rewatch if I missed anything.
I am absolutely loving SheCodes!!!! I have learned so much in such a short period. It is stressful at times but it is a fun type of stress. I am excited to move on to the next phase! Thanks, SheCodes team!

I LOVE SheCodes. I did the free workshop on a whim because coding has always intrigued me, but I thought it was really maths-heavy. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire SheCodes Basics workshop. I had some prior experience with coding before the workshop, but the way this was taught here was fantastic! I learned new things and the lessons rejuvenated my love for coding. JavaScript was actually fun in this workshop and I didn't think that was possible. I struggled when it came to learning programming languages before I found SheCodes. Matt makes learning so much fun and I'm always looking forward to my SheCodes challenges! I love being able to put what I've learned into a tangible project and watch myself grow through the lessons. I am impressed on how easy I absorb the contents! With no previous idea on these languages, I got the basis and now I feel I have the fundamentals to start exploring their usages. The way each module is introduced is like a game with its challenges, so you learn as a child, best way to get the knowledge!

In 3 weeks I learned the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript which could be very helpful for my current job. Not once had I the feeling that I did not want to start on my weekly assignment for SheCodes. They really made it fun and easy to learn with short assignments and lots of hands-on experience!

Matt is an amazing teacher and the SheCodes team is incredible - they're patient and explain everything you might not understand or need to make your code function as it should. It has been a challenge, but also a wonderfully rewarding experience. In just a matter of a few weeks, I came from not having any idea about how an app would work to building one myself! I can't recommend this course enough.

I actually have to use HTML, CSS and Javascript for work and I found that Weeks 1 and 2 were super helpful in getting across the fundamentals. Week 3 was putting everything into practice. I've had really good time learning new coding skills on SheCodes Basics! π Coding is explained step by step in every lesson. I thought that it is something very difficult, but well it's not! It's a lot of fun actually and especially when your code works at the website! π I am gonna join the rest of the workshops, can't wait! π
Easy to follow, fun to see a blank code sheet turn into an app that works. The trickiest part is was the words one wrong spelling can crash the whole thing. The teachers are very helpful as well.
This course is very useful and easy to understand! A lot of homework with deadlines motivates practicing new material. Being challenging but inspiring, it helped me to get things clear and persuaded me that coding can be fun ππ
Another exciting and fun workshop with SheCodes that I'm really gonna miss!
I had lots of fun during this workshop! The language was clear and the friendly tone of Matt helped a lot to stay encouraged. The exercises along the steps helped me to consolidate the lessons and I also found that the workload is adequate for the basic level in question. Entirely fitted for understanding if this is something you'd like to pursue as a career and for sure I'll try to ingress in the next levels in the future.

I'll be honest: I was intimidated by the idea of learning to code for quite some time. I thought that because I am a clinician and work in healthcare, there would be no way that this would click with my background and skills. However, I was super surprised by how much fun I had doing this course! All of the lessons were very easy to absorb without feeling overwhelmed, and I loved that there were so many different ways for me to go back and review different concepts if I was stuck (e.g., videos, examples/models, support from staff, Slack). If any other women in my life ask about where to start with coding, I will be sure to refer them here.
This was a great introductory course! When I decided that I wanted to learn web development I was so overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. This course made it so manageable and fun!
