Super fun and informative workshop!
The lessons were fun and easy to follow.
The course was very hands on and clear from beginning to end. It's a lot of fun to follow along in VS code with Matt while watching the video and going back to analyze the code after watching the video as well as customizing it.
Past 8 weeks were full of hard work, learning, excitement and above all - success! In such a short time, to be able to build a fully functional weather app including all the usual features, three months ago would be unimaginable. I have to thank again to the SheCodes Team for the support they are giving throughout the course. Looking forward to the future challenges!
Was it difficult? Definitely. Was it frustrating? Don't even get me started... Was it also the most fun and satisfying thing ever? HELL YES! I love this course. I didn't expect to be able to learn so much in such a short period of time. Thank you to Matt and his Team for creating this opportunity!

I learned a lot from SheCodes plus. I used to be scared of javascript but now I have gained some confidence and admiration of the language through this workshop. I had a lot of fun working on the assignments especially when my codes came alive. Every lesson gets more and more difficult and each time I think, I wouldn't be able to grasp the concept but as soon as I start coding is when everything starts to come together. all thanks to Matt for sharing his talent and time to make the videos and explaining thoroughly through each lesson. & last but not the least, the availability of the slack community. Fellow coders and TAs were always prompt answering questions. This workshop encourages me to learn more and I am looking forward to the next!

Super grateful I took this class. I was lost in what I wanted to do after my career switch from pre-Physician Assistant. I had an idea that I am interested in UI/UX Design but after this class, I realized that I am also passionate about coding and I am potentially thinking in pursuing a career as a UI Developer. I did not have any coding experience but Matt made the classes fun and easy to learn. I had a super fun time working on my first coding project! :)
This course was challenging, stimulating and a huge amount of fun. To my relief, many of the questions I had at the end of Basics were answered during Plus - demonstrating a good flow in the learning material. While at first it was slightly mind-boggling, I found that I loved working with JavaScript, and I certainly recognise the "power" of it's applications and abilities as Matt explains in this videos. The Plus course boosted my confidence in coding significantly, and as such it enabled me to think more creatively in how I wanted my App to be and function. I would recommend this course to anyone who is up for a fulfilling challenge. The SheCodes team were as always very helpful when I had queries regarding my code or how to approach a new problem. I knew very little about coding, and this course gave me so much knowledge in just three weeks! Matt explains everything amazingly well and the project and homework are super fun to make!
As a complete beginner I never expected to learn so much on my first course or have so much fun coding! The SheCodes Basics course is so well designed and Matt is a fantastic teacher. I'm really looking forward to getting started on the next course soon!
Learning how to code with SheCodes was a really great experience. Although I only did, for the moment, the SheCodes Basic Workshop, and obviously I'm still not a coder or programmer, I now understand how coding works and can create a basic website. The workshops are very dynamic, Matt is an excellent teacher and whenever we get stuck help is at a distance of a click. I started with the feeling that coding was way too complicated but it's really not that difficult. Plus, I had a lot of fun.

They don't lie when they say SheCodes is accessible to absolute beginners! Each lesson is extremely clear and precise, Matt makes it easy to follow -not saying that no smoke will come out of your ears at all if you started with no previous knowledge of coding, but I obviously expected it. I discovered the world that opens the satisfaction of creating a functioning code ;) Looking forward to taking the next workshop!
Fun project and a great way to get started if you are an absolute beginner!
Never would I ever have thought that I would be interested in coding but SheCodes made it so fun and enjoyable to learn. I have completely made a 180 on the way I see coding, especially for women. I always thought in order to be a coder you had to be a genius but I have learned anyone can do it if you are willing to put in the work. I have enjoyed these past three weeks of learning and challenging myself to the fullest. I will absolutely be taking what I have learned from this workshop and bringing it with me through the next. I am looking forward to taking the SheCodes Pro workshop. I absolutely recommend SheCodes to anyone interesting in learning to code. As one who has experienced this workshop and wasn't sure how I'd feel about coding, this has changed my entire idea of coding and has given me the opportunity to think of a possible career path.

I would highly recommend SheCodes. The lessons are short and beneficial. The way each subject and their lessons are scheduled is very efficient also the homework at the end of each week is both fun and practical. I really enjoyed learning and coding. I genuinely hope more women take this course.

The SheCodes Basic is good starting point for anyone who would like to tap into the world of web design. Instructions are clear and easy to understand, had losts of fun throughout the 3-week program!
I recently started a new job in tech-sales. My position made me gain a lot of theoretical knowledge about IT, and I wished to put this knowledge into practice. I always had a keen interest in tech but never started practising. Personally, I find it challenging to start with something completely new when having zero foundations: where and how best to start? I am so glad I signed up at SheCodes: it truly is for absolute beginners yet coincidentally the learning curve is steep! It helps you gain professional coding habits and trains on best practices. The course content is well explained and mixed up with a lot of practice; super well organised and - most importantly - fun. My introduction course to coding has been a great experience and I am excited to keep training with SheCodes all the way to React.js.
SheCodes was a super fun way to learn to code while deconstructing complex problems. It makes it easy to understand and I enjoyed learning the logic behind it. The support offered is a big plus as it encouraged me to test some other features that weren't taught, knowing I would not be left out stuck. 100% recommended!

Hi Matt Thanks for the workshop. Due to work/life commitments it took me a lot longer to get started than expected. However once started (and I had a 2nd screen set up) I couldn't stop. Plus I got to use my sister's new business for final assignment. Great class and could only imagine how fun it would of been doing it with actual other shecodes ladies, instead of remotely. But still had heaps of fun. Fingers crossed I pass. Kat

SheCodes basic is the best introduction to all the basics - in such a short period of time I have been able to master HTML, CSS & Javascript, and Matt makes it the learning process effortless, interesting and fun. I approached SheCodes immediately after graduating in Data Science. In my studies, I have known other programming languages ββbut I didn't know anything about web programming and I was curious to know if I might like it. I could have bought books or searched for free material on the internet, but I preferred to take a course that was simple but consistent. And I can confirm that it is a course suitable for anyone! Matt explains in a simple way and the learning is very gradual. I recommend it to anyone who wants to approach these topics, even if just out of curiosity. I had forgotten how much fun coding was .. π

I really enjoyed SheCodes basic workshop for two main reasons: first it has been taught in a pretty simple way including great examples and explanations which made the learning process very sweet and interesting. It was also fun. I must admit that Matt Delac is truly a great teacher. I spent hours watching videos and didn't notice that it was passing so fast. Second, the assignments had been designed so well that let the students practice the lessons in a highly productive and challenging way. They had an impressive role to help me master what I had learned through workshop. In a nutshell, I am really pleased with the first workshop and so excited to go to the next stageβ¦

I found SheCodes at a perfect time in my life: while I was between jobs and thinking I should add to my skill set as a graphic designer. SheCodes has an amazing community, fun interface, and great instructor! The courses get right to the point, and I feel I'm learning the most current and necessary information, fast. Learning more about coding is something I've been interested in for some time now. I'm so glad I came across SheCodes and decided to try it! The course was fun, challenging, and informative. I would definitely recommend this for beginning coders!
I took SheCodes Plus immediately after the Basic course. And it was a smooth next-level. Again, Matt has been a great guide through the labyrinth of code and its creation logic. All his tips and guidelines prove to be 100% correct - it pays off to be patient, test own code constantly and stop for a while if you hit the wall. Seeing the final app, maybe not the most beautiful by design, but fully functional makes me proud. I did program it myself and I want more!! :)
I love learning new things and discovering how things 'work'. Coding has been on my to 'explore' list for a very long time, but I didn't know where to start. Most online courses seem to assume you have some kind of background in coding, and I didn't want to spend a small fortune or the time commitment required to attend a formal coding bootcamp, in case I didn't enjoy coding after all. I'm so glad I came across the SheCodes add on Instagram. In SheCodes Basics, Matt teaches the very basic fundamentals of coding, and slowly builds from there. He doesn't assume you know what he's talking about but takes the time to explain the concepts with lots of examples. I can't wait to continue learning and building on the knowledge and skills I've acquired from this course.

What exciting couple of weeks continuing my SheCodes journey and completing the SheCodes Plus workshop! π Learning how to use Bootstrap for structuring and changing the layout of webpages in an easier way, Git & GitHub for version control and Netlify for hosting webpages. I enjoyed the step-by-step process of building my own fully functional weather application, leaning how to use APIs and designing it the way I liked. Once again thank you Matt and team for the awesome workshop from which I learned lots! I would highly recommended the SheCodes Plus workshop for anyone who would like to learn more about Front-End Development. I am looking forward to continuing with the SheCodes Responsive workshop! π
Before starting this workshop,I had some html/css/java knowledge. Following the basics workshop helped me to bring structure to what I already knew. I had quite some fun following it and working on the homeworks and more specifically on the final project!

The Introduction to Coding was fun and challenging. With no prior knowledge of coding, I learned a lot in the last three weeks. I am definitely looking forward to learning more in the SheCodes Plus program.

I came across a SheCodes ad during the first COVID-19 lockdown in Austria. I remember thinking at the time: "hey, why not?". One year later, I finally registered to the Basic SheCodes Workshop and I did not regret it. I thought the workshop was fun, highly interesting, challenging enough and well balanced. It gave me lots to think about regarding my next professional steps. Thank you again to the entire SheCodes team!
This was a very fun experience. The course was structured in a clear and understandable format. I thoroughly enjoyed each lesson as it was very interactive.
The course was pretty easy to follow. Learnt lots of new and interesting things. It was super fun and challenging to build a page from scratch, adding new features one by one and watching the page come to live with each commit was so exciting! (:
