I've always wanted to enhance my technical skills for years but as a busy working mom of 2 tots, finding a schedule that fit mine and budgeting a costly expense of a coding course was the hurdle. But with SheCodes, I was able to enrol on their affordable Basic Course geared for absolute beginners like myself and I completed it on my own free time! The lesson plans guided by Matt are fantastic and are easy-to-learn. Plus, the resources, tech support and homework extensions are great add-ons that help keep you on track when life throws you a curve ball and you need a little bit of extra time to catch up. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone who want to explore coding for the first time (whether it's related to work or just for fun), or to those who want to elevate their current knowledge of it. Either or, it's so worth it!
SheCodes responsive was fun, and lessons were easy to follow. I like things to be organized and neat, so I really enjoyed making my page responsive to various sizes of devices.

I am a flight attendant from Houston, TX. I chose to take this workshop because I wanted to expand my knowledge of coding and I feel like this course introduced coding to me in bite-size pieces that made it fun to learn and I look forward to learning much more in the next workshop!
I really enjoyed the course! The structure of the course is very well done, lessons are short but they include everything that you need to know to do your homework. And even if you don't know something or can't figure out where you made a mistake your can always check for the answer in the chat or write your problem there - you always have the feedback and this is really great! It feels more like a game than learning. It was really interesting and fun) Thank you for such an amazing opportunity!

An intense experience, very flexible to conciliate with your work/studies. The course is very complete, well organised, covers the different aspects and tools for Front End. It also promotes a hands on approach, not leaving you 'alone' totally, as you can count with a good team to help you if you get stuck with some doubts. Either if you enroll 'just for fun', or for a career move, I couldn't recommend it more, you do get the bug of front end in the end. Go for it!
These lessons taught me a lot, and most importantly it was fun and not stressful.
The pace of the course is great - some tasks can feel challenging at times, but they're still completely achievable and fun to figure out. The weekly deadlines are a good way to stay on track, but if there's a really hectic week and just not enough time to get the homework in, then the easy extension requests really help to still keep working towards completing the course. Overall an enjoyable and well set up course.

A very informative and practical workshop. It has it's challenges, but there is always help available on Slack, either from the SheCodes Team or from your fellow students. I think it's great that the final project gets you to create a fully functioning app, as this gives you a greater understanding of how the code actually works and how to apply it effectively. I would also highly recommend Matt Delac as a tutor. Matt has an easy to follow and clear style of delivery, which makes learning much more fun.
The workshop is very good structured and easy for understanding with small challenges for practice. It was interesting and fun, looking forward for the next one!
The class was fun and interesting. It is challenging but doable. I didn't think I could do it, and I still have a lot to learn, but I believe I can achieve my goals through these classes. It reminds me of a puzzle. Sometimes you want to shove a piece in, but later you understand why that piece didn't fit, and why another piece did.

I never thought about learning to code until I found SheCodes. It was super fun and easy to keep up with even with a hectic work schedule. Even if it's just basic knowledge once you're able to build a page from scratch you'd want to keep learning and keep adding more to your own ideal page.

I went into SheCodes with absolutely zero knowledge in Html, CSS, or JavaScript. I definitely found this course to be challenging. While I found the material foreign, I also found it interesting and fun to learn. Don't give up on yourself if you find it too difficult. The internet is a vast place for gathering information, and the Slack group helped immensely.

This course was super challenging, but it was really exciting and lots of fun! I love that this course allows its students to complete coursework according to their own availability each week, while also having weekly assignments and projects that help keep you accountable and on-track. It offers a great level of flexibility, but also provides structure at the same time which I really appreciate as a working professional. I also really enjoy being a part of the SheCodes community. With each course, you have the ability to interact with other students who are learning the same things as you and instructors who are there to help and answer questions along the way.
I've learned a lot through SheCodes Plus, the project was a lot of fun and challenging. Java Script is definitely something I need to work on, but the team and students helped me get over those bumps I had along the way of building my project! :)

After completing SheCodes Basics, I decided to commit to the complete curriculum. It has been challenging juggling a full time job and a newborn, but I found these courses to be fun and would work on it night/ weekends. I've learned a lot in the 8 weeks and excited to continue with the next workshop.
In comparison to other free coding courses that I have taken, Matt's detailed explanations and use of real-world examples in his lessons has helped me understand the functions of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I had so much fun with this course. The SheCodes Plus workshop was really fun and challenging. We started working on the Final Project almost from the start of the workshop, which was an excellent way of improving our knowledge every week.
