The explanations are very simple. I liked that from the very beginning there were introductory lessons not only in HTML and CSS but also in JavaScript. It was fun working on the final challenge.

Matt's videos are so easy to follow. SheCodes makes it fun and simple to learn coding! I love the challenges after each lesson. They help put the lessons into practice so you don't forget. SheCodes Team are quick to answer questions in Slack and provide helpful support.

This class was super empowering! To go from knowing almost nothing about Javascript to having a functioning weather app by the end was a great experience.

I can't recommend SheCodes highly enough! I had so much fun making this weather app, it was the perfect balance of challenging and rewarding. Didn't think I would enjoy spending evenings after work plugging away on VScode so much! The videos and homework assignments from Matt and the support provided by the SheCodes team was so helpful in getting my head around the coding fundamentals, I don't think I would have made it this far without it!

I would highly recommend this workshop, especially when you are new with coding and haven't done anything like this before. This workshop teaches you all the basics and shows you how fun coding can be. The video's give a clear explanation of what you need to build and on Slack everyone is happy to help you really fast if you get stuck. Im very excited to start on the next workshop with SheCodes!

I had a lot of fun working on my weather app and dictionary app. React is great - the possibilities are endless. I can't wait to work with React on other projects. The SheCodes course was friendly and engaging. I also liked Matt’s enthusiasm. I enjoy problem-solving, it is very rewarding when you find the solution and your app is working and looks great.

I've had such a great time taking this course and will continue to complete more workshops. What makes SheCodes special is that they take the time to explain why things function, and what the intentions are behind the code. I've attempted to take other courses that often lacked the understanding of how to explain the steps of why things are done. Instead, those courses often presented sterile explanations of what is being done on a screen. Matt is an excellent instructor, and his method of teaching actually helps you learn, not just memorize.

Before SheCodes, coding was intimating and daunting but this workshop introduced me to the fundamentals and contributed confidence in my ability to learn and utilize code!

That was really fun. I like how we start with simple and go to more difficult topics step-by-step. I`m grateful to Delac Foundation for this opportunity and to my friend who advised me to join! The Basic course helped me remember how to deal with HTML & CSS and made a great introduction to JavaScript. I hope to keep on mastering this skills in the future.

This is a great introduction to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I especially liked how well the course was structured, with the lessons gradually going from easy to hard. And I had a lot of fun creating the final project.

I absolutely loved SheCodes Basics! Unlike other courses I've tried, it isn't just teaching you the theory, instead it has a really big focus on showing you how HTML, CSS and JavaScript are actually used by developers. The content taught by Matt is relevant and really well presented. I like how he encourages you to have fun while learning, so it doesn't feel daunting. I look forward to joining SheCodes Plus!

This was such a fun course! I really enjoyed doing it, and it encouraged me to study computer science.

This coding class was so easy to follow and engaging. I have tried taking other online coding classes, but it was too difficult for me to follow and understand. That makes SheCodes different; Matt makes the lecture and challenges super fun. One thing I loved about this course was that I was free to have another solution from what Matt had as long I understood the basics of the coding method we used and my code made sense.

I highly recommend SheCodes Workshops. I've had a lot of fun while have been learning new skills. Also I must admit, that Matt's pedagogical skills are magnificent.

It was a super useful workshop, and I really enjoyed learning more about responsive development. Building a website is something that I couldn't have imagined doing a few weeks ago. But here I am, finished a functional website. Even if it's a very simple one and not perfect yet, but I'll get there ☺️

The program is very interesting! The theory is clearly explained and a lot of time is allocated for practice. Lessons are quite clear and fun

This was the most fun, practical and rewarding course I've taken in a long time and I highly recommend it to anyone who would like to explore what coding is all about. SheCodes Basics is a super affordable and fun way to experience coding! Matt is an amazing teacher, and his enthusiasm really made me also like coding. I really liked the course. I had never been trained before and had almost no experience in communicating in English. I was determined that I would have to watch the video several times before I understood everything. But I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out that everything was clear and accessible the first time. What seemed complicated turned out to be simple and fun with SheCodes. And it gives a lot of self-confidence.

It is true -- these lessons are broken down into easily digestible bite-sized pieces. There is a lot of information available if you are willing to absorb it all and not miss any bits. I had so much fun in my basics course, and I love that we can use our own creativity throughout the entire process.

I can not say enough great things about SheCodes! I never could have imagined learning how to create websites. SheCodes makes it relatively easy, even for someone like me with no experience at all. This was an excellent experience, when they said SheCodes basics they were serious. This was challenging at times but more than all funny and I have the opportunity to practice with all the challenges and homework.

Hi, my name is Karina and I've just started my coding journey. Although this is just the beginning, it seems to be quite tremendous and fun at the same time. Hope this journey will remain so.

I had already done several online courses for coding before trying this one, but this one was well designed in terms of being user-friendly with helpful challenges for each lesson that consolidated the learning, and helped me feel more confident in my knowledge and skills. The course overall was lots of fun and feedback was very prompt!

Enjoyed this Plus course a lot! I was excited to build my own weather application and am definitely proud of the result. You learn a lot of advanced stuff during this course and it can be pretty overwhelming at times, but it definitely helps when Matt reasures you to just take your time and most importantly to have fun. And I had a lot of fun!

Building this Weather App was so much fun! I can definitely say I learned a lot! And will for sure continue learning! I really enjoyed the style of learning, the community which is always there to help, and my App that I can now proudly show off 🥳

The course has been fun and informative. I've known that I love coding since taking Web Design classes in high school, and through using MySpace so long ago. I'm glad I finally took the first steps in creating a career for myself. As a working mom, the hours were completely doable, and I don't regret signing up for this course. I never thought I would love to learn how to code so much! I went to college for healthcare and slowly realized I'm burnt out and immediately knew I had to change something or do something that can be so fun and rewarding. I was looking online trying to see what kind of remote work I could do and as I was searching on YouTube I came upon an ad about SheCodes and what really drew me in was that it was all women! I did the info session with Matt and I fell so in love with the idea that this is actually a thing! Don't get me wrong, I knew it was a thing but to know theres a community of women on the same boat as me wanting to try something knew really excited me! I was nervous and at times, I did get frustrated a few times because I just felt like I wasn't getting it quick enough like everyone else. But Matt's videos are so well explained and the resources and information he gives are so reassuring and easy to follow that I'm so excited to learn more!

Completing SheCodes workshop was an extremely interesting experience. I had no experience in coding before, but SheCodes helped me a lot by improving my understanding of profession of coder and developer. Matt is an amazing instructor. I was thoroughly impressed with how I had no issue with comprehending his teaching and also being able to enjoy his lessons at the same time. The lessons are short and straight to the point and very easy to grasp. The challenges were fun to do and provided necessary knowledge for me to apply on many of the assignments.
