I really like SheCodes workshops.👌 I did not know much about coding before starting my SheCodes journey. 🛩️🌍 Matt is a fantastic instructor. He makes coding fun and easy to follow along. Investing in SheCodes Basic and then the SheCodes Pro is one of the best choices I have made so far this year. Not only have I learned coding but my keyboard ⌨️ skills has also improved a lot. Looking forward to start on the SheCodes Responsive course. 😊😊😊

I had very little experience with HTML, no experience at all with CSS or JavaScript but I learned so much more than I could have imagined. I didn't realize just how fun coding would be. Joining SheCodes has been one of the best opportunities I have had. In just three weeks of the Basics workshop, I have learnt so much about HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The, lessons are clear and understandable, the challenges and homework are fun tasking, the deadlines given provide that little push to do more and be more intentional. I love the CSS generators and palettes provided, they make projects easier . A big thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for this opportunity, I can't wait to continue with the more advanced workshops.

Before the basic course, I could only vaguely recall the principles of HTML, CSS, and javascript. But, thanks to a clear, structural, practice-oriented video, useful and actual additional material, and skill-developing practice tasks, now I have a strong fundamental knowledge of the front-end.

This SheCodes course was lots of fun and an easy intro to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript! I really enjoyed it :)

The basic SheCodes course was fun! It is very well structured with short videos, examples, and good explanations. The javascript part was my favorite!

100% recommend this course to anyone who is new to coding. Coding may seem intimidating but Matt breaks these classes down into short videos so it is easy to understand. Whenever I had any problems, Matt and his team answered my queries within 2 hours. I love the fact that after each tutorial video, there is a challenge to work on to ensure that we've understood the lesson. The project was pretty tedious for me but was definitely a fun experience!

SheCodes was a lot of fun! I am an absolute beginner when it comes to coding and Matt's videos made it easy to learn and to practice. I would definitely recommend this if wanting to start a new career or just for casual reasons.

I didn't imagine that coding is something that I could ever learn; I have always thought that it is a very complicated subject and only those good in math or "engineers" can understand it. But as I started the lessons I began to see that it can be an interesting and fun experience. SheCodes lessons were divided into a few minutes per topic so the student wouldn’t be overwhelmed. There were challenges at the end of each lesson so it served as a review and to practice what I understood about the topic. Matt is also a great instructor; he was able to explain things very well, in a simple and clear manner. I found myself looking forward to watching each lesson! And to the amazing support of the SheCodes team, where you can readily ask for help in case you get stuck on the assignments that you are working on. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity and blessed to be a part of this community.

I enjoyed the course a lot. The course doesn't require any previous programming experience and is suitable for absolute beginners who would like to try programming but don't know where to start. In the beginning, I just wanted to support the team for giving Ukrainian women an opportunity to learn web development during these harsh times. And in the end, I actually had a lot of fun doing all the homework, watching the videos, and learning. I have already recommended this course to a friend of mine.

I was quite hesitant before signing up because I didn't think I would be able to learn how to code. But the lessons are very well designed: the videos are short which makes it accessible, the exercises are fun but difficult enough to make it challenging and there is constant interaction with the SheCodes team 👩‍💻 in case you have questions. Also, since English is not my native language, I was afraid that learning to code would be a double challenge for me. But Matt speaks slowly and is super clear, plus there are tools like Close Caption to help those who have English as their second or third language. I highly recommend it; this course proves that we can all code 💪🏽💪🏽.

It's very fun to learn with SheCodes, I loved every minute! The lessons are short and contain small chunks of info that are easy to digest. It's also great that there are plenty of practice and feedback. I finally started getting a grip of all this web developing stuff and now I feel more confident, especially with javascript.

I would highly recommend SheCodes to all my friends. It's very fun and easy with Matt to learn how to code.

I'm from Ukraine and because of the war caused by russia, I lost my job. After I saw the initiative of SheCodes for Ukrainian women, I realized that I met tSheCodes project at the right time. I really appreciate the opportunity to start learning to code. It was not only useful but also fun, so I really want to get into the next stage of the course!

I couldn't be happier to join SheCodes. It was one of the most exciting, challenging, and full of discoveries weeks. I never thought it was possible to have fun coding. Thank you all for everything.

For a long time I've been passionate to work with software development, but because I hadn't studied a related major in college and being almost 30yo, for times I thought it was too late to get to such career. But when we have passion and determination, we can make anything happen. I started working as a QA, performing manual tests for a software. But manually testing at some point was no longer a challenge for me, so I wanted to dive into developing automation scripts with JS. I found sheCodes basics and I instantly fell in love with Matt's didactics, teaching code in a simple, fun and clear way! That really helped me to get a head start, with a testing tool that uses JS as framework. Further on, I decided to do shecodes Plus + React to keep learning and growing as QA and perhaps become a FE developer. It's been over 3 years working as a Quality Assurance Engineer for automation, and I can say I love my job! It's never too late to pursue your passions.

It was fun to learn how to make a website looking good on mobile devices which is a crucial skill nowadays.

A super and challenging course that made me understand how to make a good website responsive. Matt's explanations were very helpful and it was a lot of fun.

This workshop was definitely challenging and it required a lot more that 5 hours a week some weeks but in saying that I made it! And I am so excited with what I have learnt and achieved in such a short period. Going from having zero knowledge from a development stand point to being able to create a fully functional weather app with an API linked in is very exciting. The knowledge that I have gained through Matt and the team is already being applied in my job as a health application specialist and it has elevated my testing and ability to trouble shoot.

I'm positively surprised by how much I learned in such a short amount of time. The challenges are indeed challenging, but the project was extra fun. I like that Matt does not simply read a script but is passionate about his endeavor. He continuously shows me how to help myself. After the course, I will know where to look and find more information. The course is partially exhausting, but every minute invested is 100% worth it. Two thumbs up! I highly recommend it.

Before this course I thought that coding is really boring and hard work, but now I changed my mind in 90 degrees. Creating React Weather App and Dictionary were challenging, but it was fun learning and coding! When I had some questions, I got a quick response from SheCodes team and they were very supportive!

Staying teachable is important no matter what phase of your career you are in - or even in your personal life. Everything in our lives has now moved to a digital platform and understanding how apps really work and the work that goes into design and function of a webpage or app has made me appreciate my online life, my devices and everything in between that involves an internet connection. Hopefully I can continue to build on what I have learned so far and pursue a career in tech!

it was great! I never thought that making a website responsive could be this challenging and fun. during this workshop, we learned how to create multi-page websites and there was a chance to show ourselves and our abilities, not just a task to learn but an actual worthy portfolio project. now I'm able to set up a domain and have my own website. fun, free, professional (special thanks to SheCodes and matt).

I never thought in my life I could do any coding whatsoever but Matt and the team made it so easy and fun! I'm a 27-year-old who spent six years attending school as a teacher (with a master's). In my third year in the classroom, my health started struggling. My asthma took a toll on me, and in May I ended up in the hospital for a whole week. The Doctors kindly suggested that I should reconsider my career. Although I did want to and I knew it was for my best. Starting a whole new career at 27 wasn't exactly what I had planned for my life. But SheCodes has made it easy, fun, challenging, and exciting to transition. Having a founder that is so down to earth and genuinely cares about what he is building and who he is helping, is truly encouraging. I also feel like I have a community of women that are empowering each other, and that is just priceless.

I really had a great time in learning HTML, Java and CSS. People say coding is complicated but SheCodes team has proved wrong, first time I did find coding super exciting and fun. Matt is an amazing teacher. I am definitely opting for next workshop!

In a short time, SheCodes Plus gave me a lot of practical skills and I also had a lot of fun. I really recommend it to everyone.

Week 1 has been really fun. I thought I would hate the video format, however, it just made the lessons more concise. Even though I have dabbled in a bit of coding as a hobby in the past, doing the classes this way have not only helped me relearn, it has helped me to upskill and have a much better understanding of how each code works. It is also great that I am getting to learn the current version of codes in use today. It has helped with my coding confidence so far!

One of my friend recommended me "SheCodes". The best decision i have ever choose so far is "SheCodes". I just completed the basic course. It was so fun for me, when i started playing with the colour. I've really enjoyed working on the SheCodes Basics workshop, and I'm proud to say that in the past couple of weeks I've learned a lot. Of course, it's still just the basics, but it's an important step for me (and I think for most beginners), because coding as a subject is something I've wanted to approach for a while now, but didn't know where to start. The challenges after every lesson and homework projects is what really bring everything together for me - applying something as soon as you learn it is a good approach. SheCodes React is a nice way of learning the fundamentals of a modern JavaScript framework!

I highly recommend SheCodes basic course! I had a lot of fun learning how to code, the exercises were really fun and cognitive, and Matt is a really great teacher. I still don't feel really confident while coding, we all need some practice, but I am sure that the base that we were given will be the first step for us in this exciting world of coding!

Wow! What an experience! Being able to work on your own pace and still be able to get it done by the deadline is a closer step to meeting your goal. I'm detail-oriented and organized so I like my setup to look a certain way as it did get frustrating at times but the satisfaction of getting it done is all worth it. The courses could get difficult but honestly is was fun learning a new skill and having a hands on experience like you would in a classroom. I would defiantly recommend this workshop to any female beginner; this would be a great start! You will not regret it! Go for it! 😁

This has been a fun beginning to this coding journey ! Everything is extremely well explained and well paced, but there's also the factor of pushing us to research and try and figure out things for ourselves, which allow us to continue learning a bit beyond what we are being taught.
