This was an amazing workshop and such a thrill to be a part of! It is easy to follow along and Matt did an amazing job at explaining everything, whether you have coded before or not you step away with a ton of useful knowledge and resources. This is a wonderful platform to give women across the world the knowledge and opportunity to obtain coding skills and have fun with it!

The workshop was great, but I wish we got to learn more. The third week wasn't anything new - just a quick summary of what we learned in weeks one and two. I feel like that time could have been used better. Otherwise, the workshop was fun and Matt is a good teacher.
This course is great for additional learning and I really enjoyed all of the lessons. As always, Matt does a great job of making the course easy to follow and fun!
I loved the workshop from day one! I couldn't stop talking about it and recommending it to my friends. The lessons are clear and easy to follow, and the challenges are very stimulating. I've always wanted to learn more about coding but, wrongly, I thought it was closely linked to math and that was enough to scare me off. I've attended to a workshop months ago held by my my employer, where there was this girl talking about how exciting the life of a Front End developer is and that she learned it from scratch, highlighting that no math's involved in the process. I then came across SheCodes and a huge THANK YOU is due. Matt is a great instructor, thanks for your effort and your revolutionary project and thank you for letting me aware that is never too late! Coding is fun, is a creative process and even when you get stuck, is worth the struggle :)
It's been a great and fun experience learning to code with SheCodes. The explanations are really simple and easy to understand so it doesn't feel like rocket science but something you can actually learn. Highly recommend it! and can't wait to proceed to more sophisticated coding to be learned.

I really enjoyed this course! I think it's great for people like me who are not able to concentrate for a really long period of time. The lessons were short and easy to understand, while the little coding projects were really fun. This is the first course that I actually ever finished, and let me tell you I learned a lot of new things. I really recommend this workshop to people who want to try something that sparks their creativity while also teaching them new things.

Although challenging at times, this was an amazing way to dive into learning how to code. This is a whole lot more visual than any other college class or youtube course that I have seen. Really love that I can watch Matt type and I can type along too. Slack allows for questions outside of googling. Its easier to digest and fun to look at, watch, listen, etc... EXTREMELY GRATEFUL.

It was a really great adventure to learn more coding tricks. The satisfaction level raised with every completed lesson. Moreover, coding the final project was both challenging and super fun!
It was an 8-week journey full of fun! We moved extremely fast, but had enough time to work on our final project. In the end, my Weather Forecast App looks pretty the same as in my sketch in the beginning. And it's inspiring!

I had some experience with HTML and CSS before this course, but Matt really helped me fill in some of the major gaps in my knowledge. I had no experience with JavaScript and was pretty scared of it, but I can't believe how much fun I had using nested if else statements in my final project!
All the lessons were broken down into simple videos that were easy to follow, and I could take them at my own pace. I had so much fun learning to code and SheCodes has motivated me to keep going!
It wasn't difficult but I have more fun.
Now I can make a simple site with a button that can have some functions. I have learned the basics of HTML, CSS, and some JS.
I really enjoyed SheCodes Plus, coding was challenging at times, of course, but the simple explanation from Matt, transformed the journey into something fun. I'm happy with my choice to enroll in this course and to learn such technologies as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API, or as I like to say, discovering the secrets of this magic world. I highly recommend this course and I'm looking forward to the next one!
I like this workshop. It is very good for learning fundamental basics of building a website. I can't wait to start next workshop SheCodes Plus. I want to start it immediately. I recommend everyone this workshop.
I had no knowledge about coding, at first I thought I can't even pass the first week, but you should keep the pace with the lessons, you should read and study more and get help from admins, from other websites, and also practice, practice and practice. The challenges are fun and thought-provoking; besides, when you send the project and then you'll receive the email from Shecodes that your project is valid, you gain more confidence.
I enjoyed the course and spending time figuring out how to make the weather app looks great and function well. One of the things I really like about this workshop is that Matt has mentioned how we should code within our capability and best knowledge, and not to over complicate our codes. There is more to learn and challenge ourselves in the days to come, less is always more. Overall, I am very pleased with the new knowledge I have gain through the workshop, and looking forward to the next workshop soon!
I have learned a ton of coding taking SheCodes Plus workshop. The main focus in this workshop was Javascript and not gonna lie, it was difficult to understand at first but once you get the hang of it, it can be fun watching it come to life. Matt explains things thoroughly which is sooo helpful. He has an amazing teaching gift. I'm excited to go on to the next workshop!
I read about shecodes on instagram and i attend free demo session as well and found quite different from other courses which are available online and decided to start the course with shecodes.After attendending week 1 lessons and come up wth the conclusion that it is not only good but the excellent course ever .Doing coding challenges is actually fun. SheCodes Responsive was so much fun! Now that I have learned ways to make my code legible on all devices, I feel ready to move forward with my web development career.
It was way harder than the previous course, but I enjoyed the challenge of making every piece of the app work! I'm not so much into the design, but more the functionalities of it and I enjoyed learning about API integration - thank you, SheCodes team!
I had a lot of fun working through the different practice problems and seeing everything come together in the homework assignments at the end of each week. Every lesson builds upon the last in a neat, stepwise progression that makes learning feel like a bit of a challenge but not difficult. I appreciate how the answers aren't provided but that students are given the information they need to "Google it" and come to workable solutions on their own. Bonus? My daughters think I'm cool now :) That said: I encountered an issue when submitting my first week's homework assignment that has left me troubled. I replicated the provided example but, after review, I was notified that my homework was incomplete; when I checked to see what the problem could be, the link I had previously followed to the example opened a differently-formatted page. I went to Slack to ask if I would be required to reformat my homework despite my submission being a faithful representation of the original example and was answered with a request to post my question in another channel of slack because it was a "technical" problem; because the turnaround time for answers was slow (an as-advertised ~48hr) and I didn't want to wait (and I want to learn), I went ahead and reformatted the assignment. Still, I have two problems with this: 1. Assignments that require students to copy (nearly exactly) an example document should not be graded in comparison to example documents that did not exist at the time the assignment was completed. 2. A support team should provide support, not direct questions to different channels and then definitions of what "technical" means, even if it does mean something different (and so vague as to be meaningless) to them. I asked a question of the support team that pertained to a philosophical question, not a technical question: Considering that I submitted an assignment based upon an incompletely formatted example (that was available to me), would I be required (by the SheCodes team) to continue formatting my assignment to match an example that did not exist (to my eyes) until after I had submitted my assignment? When I indicated that my question was not technical in nature (I had no difficulties creating a document, coding a document to match the example available to me, or submitting a document), I was told that, essentially, all questions are technical questions and if I want an answer I should submit my questions to the proper channel. This is not a free course and it is alarming to me to be paying for support and receiving resistance, instead. Just an FYI. I am learning a lot, but I am someone who enjoys the Googling and searching and fiddling. If I were taking this course with the idea of getting (and receiving) much support from the support team, I'm not sure how that would be going.

I had so much fun learning the basics of coding with the SheCodes basics workshop. I have no previous experience in coding at all. This course made it so easy to follow and understand. I love that the lesson videos are broken into shorter digestible snippets and have challenges to check your understanding. I took this course to test the waters and see if it is the direction I would like to go career-wise. So far I am loving it! I can say that I will definitely be taking the next workshop to further expand my knowdelge of coding.
In January of this year I graduated Springboard with a certification in UI/UX Design and landed my first job as a User Experience Designer. I was exposed to the basics of HTML and CSS at Springboard but didn't have a deep understanding of them. Working with developers on several projects revealed this skill gap for me so I began looking for a course that would make learning code fun and found SheCodes! I have learned so much in these 3 weeks and I am so excited to use the skills I have gained to make me a better designer and teammate. Thank you!
This course is super challenging but fun!
I joined SheCodes Basics with no prior knowledge of coding, and after just 3 weeks I was able to create a dynamic webpage using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The lessons throughout the course were easy to follow along with, and the challenges were fun and challenging to try. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in seeing what coding is about!
I was really excited to start this workshop, I didn't wait till the next Monday, I enrolled on Friday and got through pretty quick. It was really important for me to stay motivated and get things done (as I'm working full-time) - the weekly deadlines definetely helped me with it. Building your own website from scratch was such a rewarding experience! I love that this workshop gives such a strong backbone for how to create a clean, SEO friendly, responsive, functional website, yet still gives student the flexibility to let their imaginations run wild and design something totally unique. I also love that the SheCodes team always remind us that there isn't just 'one right answer' for a solution - this gives the students flexibility and a natural learning ability.
