I LOVED doing this workshop! 🤩 With SheCodes, I discovered that coding can be so much fun. I never thought much about programming and coding because I had that misconception that it is extremely hard because there is loads of math involved... I was so wrong! Matt has a really special way of teaching - everything seems easy (because it can be) and uncomplicated. The modules are very well organised, and there is no math involved!! Also all the little challenges and homework keeps you motivated and helps you putting things into practise. My background is in nursing and marketing - so I was completely clueless about HTML, CSS and JavaScript. But now I feel confident. I've built a basic website from scratch, and had so much fun doing it! I look forward to learning more, and maybe (who knows?!) I'll get serious about web development.

I have learnt so much during my course and felt cared for whenever I have been stuck or confused. It has been so fun to work on the projects during this course and I can't wait to continue on the following workshops!

I loved building my own portfolio website. It was great fun! I love that I can make websites look good on mobile devices now. Would highly recommend.

SheCodes was great! I am so happy to learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I never honestly pictured myself learning to code. I thought it was too complex. However, after watching a video about a free coding workshop, I figured I could give it a try. Matt was a great instructor and broke down the content into digestible pieces of information. Short but very productive program. I like how the classes are designed. Short info sessions are easy to follow, and challenges are great for practice. The project at the end was so fun and good for summarizing what I've learned. I have enjoyed it so far and can't wait to learn more!

This workshop was a great introduction to coding! Would recommend a 10000/10 :) Before I signed up for this workshop I already gained experience with HTML and CSS through self-study, which wasn't only a very time consuming endeavour, but also a frustrating one (at some point tears have been shed). So, I was really dreading JavaScript selfstudy and it felt like my basics could also use some extra polishing; would not recommend the selfstudy route... That's when I started looking for an easier way and stumbled upon SheCodes. And it's seriously the best thing that could have happened to me. The lessons are very coherent and very easy to follow, and all the homework and projects were not only great practice; but also lots of fun! It's also really nice that you have access to an entire community that helps you out if you get stuck on a problem and that you can determine your own pace if you're busy with school or work, or both, while being on your coding journey. I signed up for the other workshops as well, so I'm really looking forward to what I'm going to learn next. Thank you so much, Matt, and everyone from the SheCodes team!

Super fun!

What a journey! This project was definitely the hardest, so far. It was frustrating, fun and exciting at the same time. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to learn from Matt and to be a part of the amazing SheCodes community.

This course was amazing and I learnt a lot about API , JavaScript functions , Hosted , ..etc. building a weather app was exciting too. The explanations in the video helped me a lot . I can't wait for the next course!

I enjoyed this course way beyond what I was expecting. The Javascript portion was a tricky, but Matt's explanations and queries answered in the Slack group really helped to make sense of it. This is probably the most fun I've had studying and building something in ages!

SheCodes Basics was a fun, interactive course that made coding less complicated than I thought it was. By breaking it down into smaller tasks made the idea of learning jss and css so much simpler.

I had so much fun with the SheCodes basic courses and the final project, that I am eager to learn more. The video's and information is so clear, yet you are challenged to expand your knowledge and to be creative with the exercises! I really found my passion!

I started studying programming a few months ago and couldn't understand anything. My application to SheCodes Basics was a last attempt to enter the world of coding, I was feeling incompetent for not being able to advance in my studies. However, these last 3 weeks have made me believe again and discover that coding can be fun, beautiful and fascinating. I can't wait to start SheCodes Pro!

I decided to enroll in SheCodes after I wanted to try something different for a career. SheCodes Basics is a great beginner course and I've learned html, css and javascript in a way and in an environment that was a lot less intimidating and a lot more fun that i initially expected. Looking forward to doing more workshops!

Another great workshop! Learned so much about using CSS libraries, responsiveness, and search engine optimization. Matt is a superb instructor that provides you with a lot of important knowledge and he builds up your confidence in an excellent way. Had a lot of fun making my final project!

It was difficult, but fun to learn about API's and go more in depth with coding. I had a great time creating the final project. Once again, Matt has made coding understandable and fun.

I've been thinking of switching my career direction in IT for a while after over 7 years in HR. I joined this workshop with zero knowledge in coding but with an open mind. What I can say after three weeks of studying is that the course is not only interesting but also super fun and encouraging. There is still so much to learn but thanks to SheCodes I'm ready :).

Found this course fantastic. It allowed me to learn in a fun way. I had started by attempting other JavaScript courses but found it a little hard to follow and keep the enthusiasm. This course is made in a very nice and simple way and you apply everything you have learnt as you move along. This helps the learning process and putting everything together. Sometimes it was actually addictive :). I have done the Basics and now the Plus. Maybe in the near future, I can do the next ones too. Thank you SheCodes!!

SheCodes Basics was really fun! I had zero coding knowledge coming into it and expected to feel out of my depth, but it wasn't like that at all. Excellent course! You can study at any pace, but there are still time limits that make you respect the time management of the course. Matt in his videos explains every little thing very clearly and in an easily-accessible form, so that the whole course turns into a saving path of breadcrumbs leading you through the dark and scary forest of coding. The team is always ready to answer all questions. In addition, what is important, gradually you understand the fundamental principles of work, without which it is impossible to improve skills. I am very satisfied and look forward to continuing the work.

SheCodes Plus is a challenging yet intriguing course. I've deepened my knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JS. The way Matt provides bite-sized explanations, challenges, and support is on a high level. Front-end development is challenging and needs a lot of dedicated practice. So, my journey only starts. I enjoyed that students were taught to use GitHub, Netlify. Working with API's is challenging and real fun. SheCodes Plus is highly recommended to everyone!

The SheCodes React workshop was fun and challenging. It was a pleasant experience to turn the vanilla JavaScript weather app from the Plus workshop into React in this workshop. The Slack Channel provided good support. Many students struggle with similar problems thus I could find answers to most of my questions on the Slack Channel.

I just started this journey through coding and never thought that in such a short time i would be able to create something like this! It was really fun and time flew by so quick! So if you want to start learning something new that is not complicated or demands too much time, this is it!

Building my first website has been fun for me. The basic stage has drifted me to do a lot of research and to my teacher Matt you are the best.

I like this course very much! For me it was such an challenge: I thought that coding is should be very difficult... And firstly it was not so easy for me to find a time for studying, because I have family with two childern, little dog and full-time work. So that I felt quite stressed. I went from not knowing the first thing about coding, to being able to build multiple functioning projects and have fun in the process. The lessons and challenges fit perfectly into my busy schedule and I was able to learn at my own pace. I've been working in healthcare for more than a decade and taking this course really opened my eyes to the possibilities of switching into a different career that's more suitable to where I am in life now.

I have taken other courses to learn Javascript but always had a lot of trouble understanding how it functions. Not only did this course make me feel much more confident writing my own code, I actually understand what each piece does. I highly recommend!

I've always wanted to have some coding skills, and when I came across SheCodes on my Instagram, I knew that I had to give it a try. I work full-time and was a bit nervous on how I would balance these lessons with my normal routine. Each lesson was short while being very informative, and I was able to start/stop whenever I had free time during the week. This class was really fun and I will be taking the other workshops.
