I love the flexibility of this program. The progression of this course as well as the others are paced so well despite being as in-depth as they are. As a product designer I have to communicate with developers on a daily basis, their job is to make my designs come to life. From the start of my career it bothered me that I do not speak the same language as them when it comes to the design, so I was eager to find the right platform to give me some insight about how coding actually works. SheCodes had the perfect solution, the basics workshop was just what I needed to build a better relationship with my developers. after only 2 weeks of taking the workshop my communication with them became 10x more effective, it was amazing to be able to speak in the same language and to use the same terms that they use. Matt was a great teacher, the lessons were simple, short and clear. Hi! I'm Kasia and I'm from Poland. I'm a mother and wife. And those were only words I could describe myself with. πI finished university with Tourism and Recreation degree and worked few jobs but since I'm already 26, I felt that time is clearly not on my side.. So I decided to do something about it. I saw SheCodes ads a long time ago but honestly? I was too scared that I'm to 'stupid' to do it. Well, it appears I'm definitely not! I believe this course is going to open new job opportunities for me, but besides that, it made me feel more confident about myself. I'm finally good at something. I'm good at many things but THIS- I can prove. I really enjoyed the whole program, all the classes, challenges! And yes, there was a lot of AHA! moments, and I loved it! I decided to challenge myself and push my limits and learn how to code. To begin the journey I made the decision last month to enrol on on a 3 week Coding Course at SheCodes, a hands-on coding workshop which teaches coding skills for women. At present only 19% of the tech workforce are women, I decided to join this course to take my future career in tech more seriously and to become a representative for black women within the technology sector. I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the way it was structured, I was able to commit to this whilst working and completing my masters and also managed to build a functioning website. Never could have done this without the detailed workshops and documentation provided. Thanks to everyone at SheCodes for curating such an amazing workshop!

SheCodes is an amazing program that does not only encouraging women to get involved in the ever-changing tech industry, but for being there to support students every step of the way with the real time support. After completing the first introduction course with SheCodes, i wanted to learn more. I have wanted to learn to code for a while but didn't know where to start. Matt's tutorials are very easy to follow and understand and helps us to complete the weekly homework and final projects. The support on slack is amazing and if you are stuck, you will have a reply within hours which has been a massive help. This course has been more challenging than the introduction course, but I am proud to have completed it.
I had been thinking quite a lot about starting to learn how to code but didn't really get into it with the books and courses I had. Finding SheCodes was the best that could have happened to me. I started this program top be able to learn how to code websites, as I have a vision for a business website that I have in mind. It is a very complex site and in order for me to understand everything that goes into it. I need to learn what goes on in the backend. These first 3 weeks have been amazing and I have learned so much in regards to website and coding that exact specifications. Matt has been an amazing instructor and has made it easy to understand. What I once thought was a bunch of gibberish, now makes sense. I look forward to the next course as I bought the Pro.
This is an amazing corse and I would recommend it to anyone considering taking it. It is slightly more complicated than the Basic SeCodes corse, but its SO worth it. By the end of this corse you will have ALL the skills you need to make your own websites, including hosting them too!

In comparison to the introduction workshop, this one was really challenging for me as I already had basic HTML and CSS knowledge, but not JavaScript. Such an amazing journey it's been for me, from learning the fundamentals of Web Dev, to Vanilla JS and now React. After so many frustrating and expensive online tutorials and courses, SheCodes was a breath of fresh air for someone with no coding background like me. Matt is a fantastic teacher, he really knows his stuff! Every workshop is well designed and a lot of thought was put into these. Concepts are conveyed with examples and described in a simple and easy fashion, so you don't feel overwhelmed. The lessons are super easy to follow, and homework and projects are great to put everything into practice by yourself. Couldn't recommend more!

I'm a UX designer and took the workshop to learn how to code so I can better communicate and collaborate with developers. I was surprised how much fun it was to code! Matt is great at explaining important concepts and showing you how to code, but he doesn't spoon-feed you everything. He gives you the resources so you learn to research and trouble shoot. Of course there's a whole community of students and Matt himself on Slack to help and support you too when you're stuck. Matt is a rock star and I enjoyed SheCodes Radio while I was coding. It's been an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to everyone!

It is unbelievable that just through 3 courses I was able to code 2 amazing react applications (dictionary and weather app). I definitely highly recommend it to anyone who hesitates. Even though I have full-time study and two part-time jobs I was excited for every class and every homework that Matt gave us. What more, my new employer was impressed by my coding skilled and sees it as an advantage (even though my job is more marketing and data oriented than IT).
The experience was amazing π I enjoy this course so much that I was addicted to solving from challenge to challenge with excitement. Learning programming from 0, building my own page from scatch, I now can build up my essential skills in the journey of digital literacy in the most engaging and interesting way!

I wouldn't have imagined that I would enjoy it so much! It's just so amazing to train our brain to work in a different ways. It felt like html, css and js were different layers and parts of me, and how beautiful it is to see them dancing together into a landing page.
I currently work as a Marketing Coordinator running the graphics and website of a 10 location retail store. Though we use a website management tool I wanted to be able to customize and solve problems on our website. The feeling I got when I went in the back end and edited some code to work the way my boss wanted was such an amazing feeling of accomplishment and pride.
SheCodes was an amazing experience and definitely a kickstart for my knowledge on coding with different programming languages. The lessons are clear and guide me step by step on gaining a deep understanding of something that I've always considered impossible to understand. SheCodes makes it possible.

I decided to try the 3 week program because I wanted to understand coding, sure, this is just a small sample of everything that coding entails, but it was an amazing course!! Explaining it like learning a language really helped me take away the fear and intimidation behind the word βcodeβ and made it fun, challenging and exciting!! Iβm not sure if Iβll take the next courses, but Iβm extremely grateful to this program for allowing me to see that if I wanted, I can continue, and that I can code!!! I found this course very useful to create a very complete app to add to your portfolio. In terms of difficulty, I think this course is suitable for a novice that has some notions of the topic and wants to learn more, and not so much the absolute beginner because it may get lost very easily. Other than that, the support you get from the technical team (aka JoΓ£o!) is amazing and the staff, in general, are super nice and supportive. Let's keep coding!
