After years of working in design and animation, I felt the need to step up my game and give a try on coding. SheCodes has been an amazing platform for women like me who wants to level up a career in tech. This workshop has made me feel comfortable and confident enough not only to design but also to implement my own website project plus I can do it responsive! I am now excited to design and code more web projects.
This has been a fantastic experience. The Basic course covered so much in 3 weeks that I now feel more confident with HTML, CSS and Javascript. Throughout the course, the lessons, challenges, and solution videos were structured in a supportive and detailed way. The way SheCodes sets up each week makes it easy to fit around life and full-time work. The next course looks amazing and I can't wait to get started.

I was a little wary to do a programming course because, before joining SheCodes, I tried others and fail to understand most of the commands. As a multimedia student I was looking for a course to learn HTML from to increase my knowledge on coding and web design, so the SheCodes program was an amazing opportunity for me to develop a new skill. I recommend SheCodes to anyone who works in media-related fields because I believe it's important to gain insight on how the tools we deal with everyday work, and SheCodes is an amazing resource to receive education from and practice with. The lessons are short but highly informative, the deadlines are very flexible and easy to fit in a busy schedule and the community is kind and amazing. Overall a 10/10 experience.

It is definitely an amazing course. The first course in JS which was clear to me. Before I used to drop off the courses as I felt stuck and not understanding anything. As for this course, I was passionate about it and excited about the challenges and homeworks. Frankly saying, just before this course I decided that programming is not my thing, but I decided to give it a last chance with SheCodes and you know what, I am again in love with programming and full of motivation and enthusiasm. I programmed a Weather App to enable users search for their current location, the location they reside, and other locations. I also used a metric unit to enable users toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit degree, dependent on their location. It has been a mind blowing journey and it was really tasking, glad I got the result I needed. I never thought I can understand the language of HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT. It is amazing to be able to understand the concept of basic coding and being able to work on very cool mini projects that allows you to be hands on, able to make mistakes and learn from them but above all to have a teacher that created these videos. I am thankful I ran into this website and though you may not be into software programming, I think its great to simply try it out and understand what we use on a daily basis and appreciate all the work that goes into it. I had a lot of fun and considering to learn more. I am in my mid 30's and I am proud of myself. I did not think I can learn something new and it shows me that I am able to do more then I thought and building my own confidence.
