I have taken quite a number of courses but struggled with understanding and completing them. With SheCodes I had a different experience, our Tutor Matt made it so easy to understand all the concepts and I never had to battle with imposter syndrome like I did in the previous courses I took. I am a microbiologist and after the COVID19 pandemic started to wear down I noticed I did not want my whole life to be spent working in a lab. It's amazing how much you can learn in such a short amount of time! The layout of the lessons were perfect for me as I struggle to pay attention for long periods of time when learning, so the short chunks were easily digestible and it didn't feel too overwhelming. Just because it has 'basic' in the name doesn't mean it's easy! There were definitely a couple of moments where my brain was frazzled but I found it so enjoyable overall.
I wanted to learn how to code just to give me more skillset as a UX designer. I've tried learning on my own and that didn't work, due to just all the information out there without guidance on where to start. I came across SheCodes and I am so glad that I did because it truly is amazing with teaching the basics of coding.
