SheCodes was a great learning experience! Through the course of a weekend we became familiarized with coding languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It was great to demystify programming and to realize that with some time and dedication, WE CAN DO IT!!
Coding is a hole new world for me. But it is a very challenging work, forcing you to think and create. And I love that! I want to learn more, improve my skills and knowledge in this area. Very excited and thinking about taking another course with SheCode Family.
SheCodes is an intensive but rewarding learning experience. The fast-paced rhythm, combined with the hands-on approach of the lessons, made for a dynamic and challenging environment where, at the end, I couldn't believe how much I had learned in a mere two days! If you want to actually learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript basics - take this course with Matt. After taking a bunch of other courses in-person and online, this is the only one where I truly felt that I understood everything. My goal was to have functional knowledge of Javascript basics, and I definitely gained those skills. I'm very excited to take the next step in learning more so I can make my designs and illustrations come to life.

I attended to SheCodes Live Workshop, so I can only talk about that. The course itself is instructed nicely, however I believe the curriculum was not very well suited to the amount of money that you pay (at my time it was 99 euros). you are going to have Courses and homeworks for 2 weeks, and the whole third week is dedicated to your final project, which I believe it could be better if they would have some material for the 3rd week too (Matt is going to have live webinar for 4 times in total, once per week). If you are brand new in coding then yes that is a good way to start. Also the slack-chat environment has a really nice, helpful and friendly atmosphere. BUT for someone who has a tiny little bit of coding experience I wont recommend this course. you should look for more challenging homeworks and syllabus. They are at the starting point though, so most probably they are going to improve themselves a lot.

Matt is a great instructor. He presented all of the information in a way that was easy to understand. I feel that the material was structured very well with a good balance of live classes along with the convenience of learning at our own pace at home. I enjoyed the whole experience - learning, the homework, the project...all of it! I will be looking for the SheCodes Plus availability that will fit my schedule soon.

The first time I thought about creating a website, I never thought all the coding that was behind. In fact, I did not even know how to start. With SheCodes, we get a huge starting point: we get insights on html, css and java script. It is so exciting to code and see the final output! My 1st ever experience with coding was about 20 years ago or so! Do you remember Geocities, at Yahoo? I remember I created a very rudimentary website with HTML there. Since then, my academic and working career has had nothing to do with coding at all. Lately I have become more interested at coding since I love learning new things and this workshop has been a nice challenge for me. It has also allowed me to explore my creativity and think about personal future projects. And definitely, it is an opportunity if you consider to change career. SheCodes allows you to take part in affordable fun workshops.

SheCodes was the perfect mix of guided and flexible learning, a supportive community and real-life career advices. The course gave me a first great overview on what kind of tools and skills I need in order to implement programming projects in practice. I got finally a solid base of experience to discuss the framework of websites and even more. Excited to explore and deepen my newly acquired knowledge.
The videos are ok for a complete beginner, but the information is already available for free. I expected the live sessions to be denser and to go into detail much more. Also, I expected the courses to explain the theory and to show practical examples much more. I would only recommend this course to someone who has zero knowledge of HTML/CSS, but not to someone who's good at learning on their own or who already followed some tutorials. For the same price, you can get a 3-month subscription on a DEV-focused platform and learn all these skills, plus much more :). So in my case definitely the expectations were too high for what the course offers, especially when it comes to the live sessions.

SheCodes workshop is a fast-paced crash course program that gives you a basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and is the perfect place to understand whether coding is for you without committing too much time or money. SheCodes workshop was an amazing experience for me! I got to learn something that is usually perceived as complex and difficult in a really friendly environment. The program was really well planned and organized, the classroom atmosphere was very relaxed and positive, with classmates helping and encouraging one another during the exercises. SheCodes staff (including volunteers and technical assistants) were very attentive and supportive throughout the weekend and really made a difference in the experience (including Matt's playlists! :)) . Thank you all! I am looking forward to learning more about coding in the next program I got enrolled into - SheCodes Plus - and to build an app at the end of the program.
The SheCodes Workshop has opened a new world to me. I gave it a go just to try a new skill and see if coding could be a path for me. Turns out I have achieved much more than I expected in a fast, but totally effective way. The learning environment is great, with all the girls helping each other and Matt does a great job!
Working full time is not easy to commit to something so interesting, but also so complicate as coding. This course helped me to acquire the basics and to use them in a practical way. The most important thing of this course is the social aspect that allows you to meet many amazing people that are constantly facing the same issues as you and to get loot of support. I am really interested to continue this path and hopefully I will succeed!
