It was challenging but exiting. I enjoyed learning about how the websites, we use everyday, are created and maintained. Coding really is like learning a new language , and the course is set up to learning the basics and building up to more and more complex ideas .

It was a lot more challenging to follow all the steps. Javascript can be tricky and mind-blowing. However, I still managed to finish my project the best way I could. I know that I'll have to keep studying in order to improve more. This is just the beginning of a long journey...

What a great way to learn coding! I work in the tech industry but never knew what was and wasn't possible for the developers. I love being able to understand the basics. I definitely want to learn more.
SheCodes Plus is designed clearly and understandably. The workshop is resourceful for anybody who wants to take coding as either a new future career path or a hobby. New challenges are built up over the courses but you will feel achieved when overcoming those along the way. I had a chance to learn new things in every lesson. Practice makes perfect!!!

The SheCodes Basics Workshop was really fun! I'm impressed with how much I learned in such a short amount of time, and with the knowledge I was equipped with to able to create a web page for the final project. I've really enjoyed the Responsive course, it's so satisfying seeing your designs become adaptable and your workflow improve. After building my own website I feel more confident creating, implimenting and editing my designs. Looking forward to continuing in React!

This workshop was so clear and easy to use. It was a great starting point and I'm excited to learn more! I remembered a little bit of the HTML/CSS from the early days of customizing social media pages and it was a great challenge to try Javascript for the first time. A great introduction to the basics of coding.
I learned HTML in the middle class, and after some push from my friends, I decided to enroll myself, which is my first coding boot camp. Each class was super easy to follow, Matt explained it thoroughly and I feel so proud of myself for every homework and challenge I submitted. At the end of the course, I feel more confident in doing the coding. For sure I won't stop here, I am ready to learn and to improve my skills even more in the future.

The thought of learning how to code always overwhelmed me before participating in SheCodes's workshops. All the lessons were interesting and interactive, and as I completed each assignment, I gained confidence in my coding abilities. I now have the motivation to continue expanding my skillset in additional programming languages!

I have been wanting to learn a bit more about coding for a while, and the basics course has allowed me to get familiar with the basics very quickly. The lessons are clearly explained, the pace is easy to follow and in the end you are able to create something that seemed impossible only 3 weeks ago :)
Coding was something I head at the back of my mind for some time now. About a year ago, when the pandemic started, I tried out a beginner Java course, but couldn't visualize things well or understand how they are being used in real projects. In SheCodes Plus I was able to immediately try things out and see them in the browser and everything started making more sense. My vanilla weather app looks very simple, but it's a great feeling to know I was able to get to this point. I feel there is a lot in front of me and I can't wait to start the React course.
I highly recommend SheCodes! Although challenging, Matt makes the courses fun and easy to follow. I had so much fun working on my final project.

SheCodes was the workshop that I needed to kickstart my journey of learning to code. It has a great structure which makes things easy to learn step-by-step and lessons are bite-size so it's easy to remember. I have tried to learn basic HTML and CSS in the past, however I found it extremely difficult to remember anything and actively engage. I found it so much more accessible and user friendly to learn on SheCodes. I'm really happy I took this course and would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn the basics!

The 3 week Basic workshop was a great introduction to learn coding fundamentals in a fun and interactive way. I'm definitely motivated to learn more and expand my skill set.
SheCodes has been a great experience! I'm brand new to the world of coding, but Matt breaks it down very easy for newbies like me. Everything is easy to understand, and the the modules are set up in a way easy to navigate. Being able to complete everything in my own time is a bonus since I am also working full time.
I remembered when people told me that learning coding is hard, which there is an urge that hinders me to learn new knowledge. When I joined SheCodes, learning coding isn't really that hard as I thought. Even though I'm taking summer holidays for my college break, this basic knowledge has helped me shape my basic understanding of coding. Once again, thank you SheCodes staff and Matt for helping me!
Was an amazingly fun, engaging, and very in-depth course! Everything flew by and the staff was so helpful if anything ever gets out of sorts, but the course is so well put together I think I only had to ask questions 3 times!!! Wow. These eight weeks have certainly been challenging. It's amazing though how much gratification you get when you can see the culmination of all the hours of hard work of building an app with a search engine and seeing results in real time. I'm currently working on a PhD in neurobiology, and this workshop has helped me expand my toolset. In the future, when I am looking for jobs, I hope that the skills I've learned will help me stand out.
I began SheCodes Basic knowing very little about coding, but having completed the first workshop, I feel much more confident in my knowledge but also my capacity to learn how to code.
Before I started I vaguely remember some HTML elements. I also was confused about the difference between HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Throughout the course learned what all three were and how to use them in real-time. The challenges and homework were a big help in learning progress and it was what it worthwhile since I got to test my skills. The teaching in each video is point and clear. Also, the live assisted help on Slack really helped when I was stuck. And the solutions for each challenge and homework helped me see other ways I could've and should've done it. The extra help along with deadlines, helped me stayed committed and learn to the best of my ability. SheCodes is Highly recommendable.
SheCodes provided me with resources and techniques that I had not previously had! I am now even more passionate about coding and excited to teach my students!
I loved everything about SheCodes Plus, this workshop made me feel like an actual coder. It was definitely challenging at times but it made me want to figure out the problem that much more. I can't wait until the next workshop starts!
I really enjoyed this three week workshop! Coding has always piqued my interest, but I've never had the confidence to look into it. On a whim I took the one hour free workshop and was hooked for the whole hour. I then signed up for the three week beginner course and really enjoyed myself! I felt comfortable, was able to keep up, and felt supported when I was stuck. SheCodes has created a great environment to learn in.
SheCodes Plus was not easy, but so worth it! It definitely enhanced my coding skills and went into way more depth than the Basic course. If you're looking to increase your coding skills, I highly recommend doing SheCodes Plus.
To be honest, I have learned basic HTML/CSS back in college, however I NEVER retained anything I learned because the way it was taught wasn't that great. The way that SheCodes teaches basic HTML/CSS and Javascript is way WAY more comprehensive. Learning from SheCodes, I actually understand now how HTML/CSS work and I feel more confident actually using HTML/CSS and Javascript now than when I learned back then. I'm sooo glad I decided to take this course.

I really enjoyed learning something new and useful. All workshops are well designed and it was so helpful you could watch every video as often as you needed to ;-) I' happy I signed in.
I can't believe how much I've learned in just a couple of weeks and what I was able to build with the help of SheCodes. Sometimes it was frustrating and definitely challenging next to a full-time job, but at the end super rewarding when I've seen what I could accomplish. If you've been told before (like me) that IT and development is for man and that you must be good in mathematics then this course will for sure convince you of the opposite.
I loved Shecodes Basic course, it is well organized and easy to understand. Step by step, I was able to learn basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript. I was able to see the potentials for changing my future career. Highly recommended!

I had no expectations when I started the workshop, only that I wanted to learn more and expand my skillset. It's no surprise that I've completed the workshop feeling overjoyed with how much I've learnt and with a burning desire to learn more. The workshop guides you but at the same time allows you to find your own solutions. I cannot recommend it enough to everyone, regardless of your career background.

I loved learning about the power React holds. The lessons are short but hold enough information for you to grasp a certain concept. I keep being amazed by how much I love coding, because Matt and his team know what is exciting about coding and know how to not overwhelm you with too much information about the subject at once!! I will definitely join new courses if they ever make any other!
I really liked how I could watch the lessons in my own time. I was able to easily do the work on weekends around work, without worrying about getting to a live class. The slack community is great, as I can go in and see what other students are posting as well as see the community troubleshooting, together.
The classes are super informative, the challenges and homeworks are interesting and I like the fact that they sometimes have bits that we didn't hear about in classes, but have to independently google it and come up with a solution.
A wonderful experience. After several unsuccessful attempts to learn programming I finally came across this course and I recommend it with a clear conscience. It's a very introductory course, but it's enough to find out whether you want to go down this road or not. I'm going to continue ;)
Great learning structure from the easiest tasks to more difficult ones with optional extra levels of difficulty. The support from tutors is quick, friendly, and super-efficient.
