A befitting accomplishment for a befitting day β International Womenβs Day (Just got certified today!) πππ©βπ»π Words cannot express the feeling of empowerment I have right now. For many years I was convinced that the train had left the station for me as I saw versions of my ideas being launched without me, because I lacked coding experience. So I protected my siblings from going through the same negative feelings of regret by making sure they spent summers in coding school. Now, thanks to SheCodes Workshops, my little brother and I are working together with my partner to develop our ideas. New level of confidence unlocked!
Yet again a super fun and helpful workshop! Matt and the team continue to be extremely communicative when you need help, and not only have I learnt a lot, but I've really enjoyed the process of learning and developing my coding skills. Bring on SheCodes Responsive!
The React Workshop for sure was the most challenging one, but in the end it was totally worth working hard on that project. Very thankful for the skills I've gained within the last months.
This was super stressful but super fun. It was definitely worth the work, time and effort!
Shecodes Workshop program has been a great starting point for me. Before the workshop program, I struggled to get started, so much info online which can be overwhelming and confusing. After the 3 weeks program I feel confident to to explore on other platforms and self study , but dicided to carry on to do Shecodes Plus because this program pushes me to finish all the tasks on time I have to hand in the homework at the end of weekly lessons. Doing it by myself, I won't be able to be that disciplined and motivated to finish tasks on time.
This has been an amazing journey with SheCodes, going from someone with little-to-no coding knowledge, to someone that has been able to build weather applications in both vanilla JavaScript and React. I am very excited about the new Responsive course and look forward to continuing my coding journey even beyond the SheCodes courses. Matt, as always, has been an excellent teacher, and I highly recommend the SheCodes workshops to anyone with an interest in learning more about coding. It's a very rewarding skill to learn, even if just for your own personal enjoyment rather than solely career-oriented.
I enjoyed this class very much, and thanks to Matt's instruction, I feel confident pursuing coding further! I never thought that I would be able to get into coding but now that I have some basics down, I feel like this could open some new doors for me.
Happy I made the course & would highly recommend for everyone who want to learn a bit more about work as developer! Definitely worth this money.

The workshop is project-based, and for me, that has been the best way to learn how to code. It guides you through steps in a way a complete beginner can understand.
It's a great interactive workshop that provides a lot of support and you become apart of a community of women coders.
I really enjoyed this class. I could step through the course at my own pace, and I thought the material was challenging and fun. The way the challenges and coursework are set up make it very easy to get help, find resources, and learn from your mistakes.

Once again, a great course! I found much enjoyment in watching the solution videos even for lessons that I understood completely - Matt does a great job at demonstrating that there isn't just "one right solution" to doing things, and that there's many different ways to do the same/similar things.

This workshop has been amazing! The videos are short but packed with info. The slack group is extremely helpful, and the projects are fun. You are taught real-life coding skills as well as pushed to learn things on your own to practice.
I was really impressed with the workshop. With just a few lessons I became comfortable with coding. I also appreciated the final project because it gave me room to be creative whilst applying the key elements I just learned. Also the assistance from the slack community was great. Overall I am very happy with the program. It is also the first time I am finishing an online course.

Another interesting module - definitely struggled more with React but I got it done in the end. I would definitely say there is a bigger gap between the lessons and project for react than there was with Vanilla.

I really enjoyed learning how to code using the basic fundamentals of CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. The challenges at the end of each lesson kept my brain charged up helped me understand the practical side of it. The deadlines keep you disciplined and on your toes . Loved working on my project, in the end, it's so rewarding.

And the reasons are: - Flexible schedule : whenever I want, wherever I want - Easy and fun to understand: how Matt explains, it feels like a walk in the park, and then you try out by yourself and fail, and then code together with the video and magically it suddenly make total sense - Supportive team: Team reaches out when they see you have not made the deadline and asks how they can support you - very good customer experience - Good structure: the courses have a good structure, and explained everything, however in some challenges the student need to do extra research - good approach to really understand the basics Will definitely continue with other courses in the future!

I am so glad that I could finish the SheCodes React workshop! I have followed all the workshops on SheCodes with passion and it helps me to gain confidence not only in coding but also in my career! Due to SheCodes I overcame my fear and I am sure it plays a role in the fact that I found my dream job during my SheCodes journey. Even though it is not related to coding, the strong attention to detail is a strong skill required in my new job, so I am very proud of myself for acquiring those skills. Learning React completely changed my mindset with coding. I would recommend doing this workshop after the SheCodes Plus 100%. I feel it's giving me the best insight into how coding can be so sophisticated but so fun. Can't wait to take my knowledge into the real world!
I've always wanted to learn how to code. This course was really enjoyable and everything was explained perfectly.
I've been meaning to get back into coding and front end development for a while now but could never find the right course or content that fit my needs. And then I saw someone comment on a LinkedIn post and decided to reach out and get some advice; and I'm glad I did. The introduction workshop is a great way to get grounded in basic HTML/CSS/JS and goes well beyond show and tell of code snippets. Matt has a great way of explaining the different concepts and also provides a lot great tips on how to approach writing code and what to look out for. I can't wait to dig into the rest of the content.
SheCodes Plus was very challenging but I am so glad for everything that I have learned during the last 8 weeks. The workshop is well structured and it is super satisfying to be building up to our own project all along. I will keep on learning and coding my way through the world!
SheCodes has been an amazing experience. I was studying electronic engineering in my home country, where I took some computing classes. Even though I found these classes interesting, I didn't develop a passion for programming back then. It was just until I came to the US that I started building up a passion for this amazing career, and SheCodes played a huge role in this. If you've found programming interesting before, I highly recommend you SheCodes; this course is going to make you fall in love with coding. You'll acquire many skills in JavaScript, HTLM, CSS, bootstrap, a very useful and highly demanded library of JavaSript called React, and so much more.
This first workshop was very enriching for me as I felt that I enjoy learning code. This course suits me for the simplicity and practicality of its way and, also, I find all the materials are easy to follow and enjoyable. I'm going to go to the other workshops as well! I appreciated this opportunity, and I wish all the best for the SheCodes workshop!
Very good info, the way in which the modules were structured made sense and slowly helped you understand how to get from a simple beginning to a complete project. The main downside was that, for the price point, I expected more preparation from the instructor (less typos, less improvising), since this was not a live course. All the back-and-forth made it hard to follow sometimes.
I have been interested in coding for a while but not so much into the "how computers work" part of computer science. This course was great because we skipped right to the application of coding and the classes broke everything down very simply.
The 3 week Shecodes workshop was a great introduction to the coding world! The lessons were very easy to understand and the challenges/homework were a great way to reinforce what you had learned each week. Definitely was a rewarding experience. Highly recommend!

SheCodes first workshop is a good exposure to the know what is coding regarding web development. It is a great first step to understand this field in a short time with practical experience
Highly recommend this course! JavaScript part was the most challenging (at least for me) but it worth trying. Appreciate to learn API, GitHub, hosting and new functions in JavaScript.
I have thoroughly enjoyed learning how to code during this three-week course and would definitely recommend it to friends and family. I have learned so much in just a few weeks and can't wait to start the longer courses!

Between all the workshops that I have done here, this is for sure the most challenging one. Just wished we had built something different than the weather app again. Besides that, it was great to add more to my coding knowledge.
I loved learning with shecodes.io! The course is structured in a way that walks you through the materials step by step, by watching detailed videos and practice everything through milestones mini-projects, and a final big project.

I was very sceptical at first but SheCodes made it super easy to understand and broke down the lessons in to bite-sized portions. This made it really fun and doable. I was able to squeeze in lessons inbetween my busy schedule. All in all I found the course very understandable and i liked the mix of deadlines and free time management.
It was a good learning experience.
React is surely a developing resource worth to learn and try out, although there were many times I wanted to give up on it, as it looks slightly more complicated and less intuitive at first sight than what I had previously learned in the JavaScript modules. But, overall, it gave me more insights on what coding's endless possibilities are and more experience on how to advance into coding. Nedless to say, without Matt and JoΓ£o's help, developing a functioning weather app would not have been possible at all. Thank you guys and thanks to all SheCodes staff for your support! After doing SheCodes plus I could not wait to do SheCodes React, I have learnt even more and this has cemented my interest in code. There were times I was scratching my head but when it clicks into place you feel a great sense of achievement. Matt's way of teaching and the structure of the program really help to guide and support you.

Well paced workshop with attainable weekly goals. Matt explains each feature thoroughly which really helps to understand how things work. Definitely a little more challenging than the first workshop but well worth the hard work.
SheCodes has been very engaging and user-friendly. I find the challenges rigorous enough to push me to learn without making it daunting. The solution videos are helpful for being able to check how optimal my solution is immediately, while it's still in the forefront of my mind. The Slack channel is incredibly helpful for troubleshooting things that I'm unable to Google, with quick response time. You get out of this program what you put into it, so if you're motivated and consistent, you'll learn a lot!
