I happened to stumble upon an ad for SheCodes basic coding workshop. I was sceptical at first, as I was completely new to the world of coding. But I have learned so much in such a small amount of time and had fun along the way. I'm really happy I decided to try it out, and I am now motivated to learn more within this field😀

I enjoyed every moment of this course! Matt and the team have always been amazing support throughout the process. I am very happy I managed to complete it and recommend to everyone to give it a try because even when you're far from this world as I was, there's a lot to be learned and you can do anything! Thank you SheCodes team and lots of love :)

Having gone through all SheCodes classes, it is safe to say Responsive was so easy. I had so much fun during the Responsive courses and I 100% recommend SheCodes.

The Workshop really helped me get a basic understanding of what Coding actually is and how it works. The step by step instructions were very helpful and it also kept me motivated because it wasn't too much at once. I learned a lot! Thank you! 😍

Great for beginners - good structure and easy to follow

SheCodes Basic was a great experience and my first delve into coding. I started with SheCodes Basic to make sure that coding would be something I wanted to start exploring. I highly recommend starting with the basic course if you are wanting to see if coding is for you. I enjoyed this course and plan to purchase the next level and continue forward.

I am a dietitian who wants to change careers into tech. I didn't know where to start with learning how to code and thought I'd try out SheCodes. I have to say it was the best decision! I learned a lot very quickly and also had a lot of fun. Matt is a great instructor - clear and concise. I highly recommend!

I have learned so much in just three weeks! By having weekly homework you get to test your knowledge and challenge yourself. I would recommend this to anyone curious to see what it is all about. This was so much fun and I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus next! Thank you to the SheCodes team.

I started this workshop with very basic knowledge of HTML and CSS and absolutely no idea how to use Javascript. In just three weeks I have learnt so much and being able to apply it as you learn in the challenges and weekly homework is so useful for cementing that knowledge. I would highly recommend this to everyone I know, even if they think it has nothing to do with their career. I have had so much fun completing this workshop and can't wait to get onto SheCodes Plus next!

I came into this workshop without any coding experience. I decided to start my coding journey as I'm in the process of a career transition from healthcare to marketing. I kept seeing that basic coding knowledge was becoming more and more valued by hiring managers and companies. This workshop is great for beginners to learn the very basics and have a good foundational understanding of coding. I'm excited to bring these new skills in the next phase of my career.

This year I decided to try out new things and since I've always had some curiosity regarding programming and coding, I decided to give this course a go. I loved this experience! I really think I found a new hobbie.

I'm so grateful to have found SheCodes at a time in my life when I was ready to take on something new and exciting. The course was incredible and I can't wait to further my knowledge and start making my mark in the IT world.

I've absolutely loved taking part in my first SheCodes workshop. The videos strike the perfect balance between being accessible whilst also remaining time efficient and challenging! Before SheCodes, I tried various code camps on different platforms but I dropped out every time because they turned out either intimidating or boring. But with SheCodes, it is neither boring nor intimidating thanks to very well structured steps and encouraging instructor. Finding the help in times of need creates a strong sense of community. I am so happy with my decision and can't wait to start my next workshop 🥳

This workshop has been a great introduction to the coding world for a novice like me. I came in with no knowledge but an open mind and I have learnt a lo during my 8 weeks working on my final project. It is definitely challenging at times but you can always go back to the lessons and get help from the community and the team. Everyone is willing to help and support which is a plus especially when learning something new.

I wanted to find a way to widen my skill set and I would say learning to code has opened more opportunities than I had originally thought.

I'm glad I followed this through to React, it really helped see the potential and the world of possibilities when it comes to coding.

Matt has really helped me understand Javascript a lot better in this course. With the final project you do, you learn a lot of new valuable skills in a short period of time. After a long time, I was finally encouraged to take part in the workshops organized by SheCodes and I could not be happier for the decision I made. Everyone who is thinking of teaching how to code should follow SheCodes example. It is designed for you to learn at a fast pace but understanding every little thing every step of the way while creating your own project. I have done every SheCodes workshop available and cannot get enough. If there would be a new one some time from now I would also be doing that one.

It was a very good first workshop!! Putting your skills testing in this field, and seeing that you can do it, makes you feel very good about yourself. Now I'm ready for the next challenge.

I would recommend this workshops for people who come into contact with coding for the first time. I already knew a bit about coding so I already knew some things but there were a few things I didn't know yet like javascript. So if you want to learn something about coding and you have no experience with it yet, it is worth taking this workshop.😃

I can't believe I finished my third workshop! Starting learning code was a good decision, I really enjoy the workshops, and I've learned so much with Shecode. Sometimes I felt overwhelmed but Daniela and João were always there to help! Matt's explanations are simple and super clear. Slack is a good way to debate our doubts and engage in a supporting  and helpful community.

I NEVER thought that code could actually mean fun, so yes, this was the best way to realize I actually love it. I totally recommend SheCodes, it was great to first learn step-by-step, test my knowledge from little lessons and then wrap it all up in a final exercise! 5 stars. Go ladies :3

I felt like my learning progressed greatly through doing this project and bootcamp.

It was a really good introductory overview - it taught me the basic language and the structure of how it works. I particularly enjoyed the final project where I was free to play around and create something I liked!

I never thought I was the type to like coding. But this course is so well structured and takes you step by step through the basics. I am very proud of myself and will keep learning. :)

I'm basically with accounting background and eventually moved into testing line. So, I was very keen to join this workshop but at the same time was concerned to know if I can follow the coding language or not! Surprisingly, this workshop gave me a new confidence! I was so motivated to work on each challenges everyday on my own time. The support given during the workshop is great! I started to feel connected with apex app development work now. Definitely would recommend to anyone who is interested know/learn on how the coding works! If I can do it having little kid and full-time job anyone can do it.Cheers 😊

Amazing course that is detailed and thorough! It really ensures that you learn each element of the code before moving on to something more difficult. I loved being challenged through the assignments and feel like I now have a great grasp on the fundamentals of coding.

Really please with how much I have learnt in such a short period of time, videos and instructions were easy to follow.

I can't believe I was able to do some of the things I did! I feel like I levelled up, if that makes sense to anyone else. But, I know this is just the beginning of my journey. Can't wait to learn more!

So far, i've learn so much within the past three weeks!!! I have never thought I would be able to learn another skill in my late 20's and especially something like this! The lessons are easy to follow and was a little tough at first and defiantly took down notes! The lessons are explained very well thanks to Matt. My next part of this journey is to complete the 4 month program and become a Jr developer before the summer starts and get a job I like! Since discovering SheCodes, I would recommend this to any woman wanting to learn how to code!

I admire Matt Delac's teaching method. He made it easier to comprehend something that seems complex and advance by breaking down the methods. I feel more confident in working with React.

Incredibly challenging and equally interesting course. I am in awe with the potential of coding, and I particularly enjoyed learning React. SheCodes is an exceptionally good platform in guiding the learning journey of a coding analphabet as I was. The online support provided is exceptional and help you not lose your path in the forest of coding symbols.

SheCodes really helped me understand coding by really challenging my thinking skills. As a beginner, I now feel more confident than ever before to code and understand what I am reading. I have always wanted to learn coding and I am really grateful for this exciting course. It was really interesting and I got very motivated becuase I could practice while learning the theory. Learning with visual material was really nice and has helped me a lot.

There's a lot of info crammed into a short amount of time but it's done in a manageable way so that my brain didn't hurt too bad! It's pretty cool how I was able to amalgamate all the lessons into a final project. I have even able to make the final project related to my work as an elementary teacher. The support when I needed it was excellent but I do strongly recommend researching bugs and questions on your own because lots of additional learning happens this way! I spent way more than 5 hours per week but maybe this is because I nerd-ed out more than necessary? As with any new learning, would have to keep up the practice in order to maintain all this new knowledge. Definitely recommend!

SheCodes Plus Workshop was really amazing! I have learned more advanced techniques which will be very useful in developing my future career :) I would highly recommend this Workshop to everyone! :)

I really recommend the SheCodes coding workshops! I started with the free coding class, then decided to do the SheCodes Basics, now I finished the SheCodes Plus!! And I'm excited to start the SheCodes React!! Really need to thank the support team, specially João, always friendly and help us to make things clearer!

I have enjoyed making my portfolio for the first time. I learned a lot more now about creating a responsive design (in an actual work) makes me think this is how UI designs come to life. Doing it myself makes me appreciate the hard work designers and developers do to create a masterpiece.

I have tried many online class formats - and I still didn't feel confident in the basics. One of the main problems was that information I would find was out-of-date. This workshop helped me put together the information in a concrete way that was easy to follow while ensuring I was learning current best practices. That's pretty cool!

I started off as a beginner, with absolutely no knowledge on how to code. After doing the first three week workshop I now know how to code a bit. I love how you can complete assignments at your own pace but still meet a deadline. Matt literally breaks it down in his videos, step by step making it super easy to learn. I am now excited to move on to SheCodes Plus!

This course, although basic, was fabulous. The lessons are easy to understand and the challenges are stimulating. I enjoyed creating my final project, which I am very satisfied with. I can't wait to continue with more lessons to become a full-fledged developer.

Coding is not a scary word anymore, but a fantastic universe I can't wait to explore more. In these past weeks, I familiarised myself with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. First steps in a field I was completely foreign to before. Thank you Matt Delac for the brilliant teaching (and the best radio stations for background music), and to all the SheCodes team that has provided assistance non-stop. I've enjoyed the challenges and the weekly homeworks!

The SheCodes Responsive workshop is a great addition to the program! It's the perfect follow up course to SheCodes Plus. There was plenty of new information, while also building on previously taught topics. I feel much more confident about my coding now. And to create your own portfolio website as project is both useful and cool!

Build a weather app from scratch which I'm very proud of. Cost me a lot of hours, sweat and tears but i succeeded. Implemented different Icons and colors to make it more fun. I'm really happy now with the result. Highly recommend this workshop for anybody who is interested in coding. It's hard work and very frustrating at times but total worth it. Can't wait for the next workshop to begin.

I have loved every part of the SheCodes workshops. I have now started an access course on computer science and so can go to university in 2022. I would never have been confident enough to do this without SheCodes! Highly recommend

Completing the SheCodes Plus React Workshop over the last couple of months has been a great experience from start to finish. My knowledge of coding has grown massively over the course including HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, API Integration, Bootstrap and Hosting. I am looking forward to starting the SheCodes Responsive Workshop and discovering what else is possible through code. A huge thank you to the SheCodes Workshops team! 👩🏻‍💻

This review is a contrast to the review of the first Shecodes course. Overall, I really struggled with this course. For me, it felt like a massive step-up and I am not sure I made it. I have submitted a very basic and flawed final project which I aim to keeping working on. I felt many of the JS topics were rushed and too advanced for me as my only experience was that provided in the first certificate experience . Everyone else seems to have swam through theirs with ease. So, I think working full-time, being a parent and being older than most in the cohort has not helped! I regret to say this will be the last of my Shecodes experience as I really struggled with holding onto and applying the learning provided. Good luck but definitely be prepared to watch those videos several times.

Amazing workshop, challenging but definitely rewarding! 10/10!

It is simply not possible to live in this era without speaking these languages. This was a great way to start. As basic as it may seem to experts, this course has opened up a whole new way of thinking to me. It allowed me the flexibility I needed to make it happen, with a toddler and a baby in the house plus my own teaching job. Bring it on SheCodes! Way to go!!

The course is quite interesting and it gets more and more challenging. We're taught really interesting stuff and you can see results pretty quickly :) In my opinion, however, more practice is needed to digest and settle all the new information. I'm going to continue with SheCodes Responsive and see how it goes :) Many thanks!

A great coding workshop for beginner. I learned everything from scratch. The workshop teaches you how to create a concept and guiding you step by step to make an idea to life. By the end of this course you can build a website and deploy it on a free platform.

I am glad I took SheCodes. I wanted to challenge myself and learn something new. My current employer is focusing on integrating technology to better assist clients. I believe this skill will help me advance in my career. Learning the basics from this course was as a good start. I plan to continue learning coding. I am looking forward to this new journey.

I started this workshop out of curiosity and as a hobby to see whether I would like it or not. But Matt makes everything so smooth and easy to understand. And through the challenges, almost after every step, you practice and learn a lot! Highly recommended for the coding enthusiasts :)

Glad this additional course was added. I not only learned more valuable information, but I was able to build my own portfolio. This will allow me to build websites for other projects I have been working on.

The coding in this course got a lot more difficult, but I found that I was able to retain the information a lot better than I thought I was able to when watching the videos. I highly recommend this course and I'm looking forward to the React workshop!
