I had fun learning the basics of coding and definitely a long way to go! This 3-week workshop helped me think logically, critically and discover where I went wrong along the process and easily resolve them. The lessons were laid out smoothly and gave chance to apply the things learned through each challenge. Helpful references were also shared which are great sources! It's definitely a complicated world for coding, but it's amazing. Thanks SheCodes!

Loved every second of the SheCodes Basics course. I couldn't write one line of code before I started but the course is really easy to follow and the challenges and homework are fun to complete. I've finished the course feeling accomplished and proud of the final project I have created! Cannot wait to continue with my coding journey and begin the Pro course.
I've really enjoyed the course over the last few weeks! I had the most basic level of html knowledge prior to this but it's amazing how much you absorb over just a few hours a week. In doing the final project, I knew what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it, with very few questions. Of course you have frustrating moments along the way but I found the Slack page incredibly useful (and also validating when other people often had the same questions as me!). I'd definitely recommend.
The past 3 weeks have been an amazing first step into coding. The way that the lessons are followed by a challenge, based on the lesson's content, allows you to learn whilst doing, which is great for absolute beginners like myself. I had never looked at a piece of code properly before this, so learning how to write it has been incredibly rewarding! I loved the flexibility the workshop provides. I was able to spend the first week completing the lessons and spend 2 weeks consolidating what I had learned and work towards my final project. The community and support you're given access to on slack chat is also a huge benefit of this programme. Not only can you access help when you need it, you're also able to share your journey with others. I cannot recommend SheCodes enough!

SheCodes offered me an easy introduction into coding. It showed me that anyone can learn how to build a website.
The lessons were easy to understand and concise. I really enjoyed going through each challenge and figuring out little hick-ups as they occurred. Lots of great resources and a lovely community.
Time flies when you're having fun with SheCodes. The 8-week workshop went by super fast and it was an awesome opportunity to develop the skills gained from the Basics workshop even further. The course was very instructive, easy to follow, yet challenging and you could feel those pieces coming together. And realise that there is so much more to learn! Can't wait to start Responsive!

The basic course was just enough of a challenge, that I'll be back for more! The last three weeks consisted of ups and downs, but very worth it. Anytime, that a challenge arose, the Slack community never let me down. SheCodes is the best an amazing concept to help women in the IT space.
I have always been interested and curious about the world of programming and the concept of coding. One day, after coming across SheCodes I decided to sign up for the online live intro class. That was definitely one of the best decisions. This truly is a community of people passionate about learning, and growing together. Thanks to Matt and the entire SheCodes team, I have found a new passion!
This was very fun and much more easier than I ever thought. I was able to learn everything quite easily and I could go back to lessons without hesitating to remember how things worked. I am very excited to have learned this.
The curriculum is very well planned and with each video I got more and more confident. I also like that Matt shows how to debug by making mistakes himself while teaching. I know I will be coming back any time I need a refresher to the concepts.
I've known I wanted to code for a while now. Great pace and instructions, would be nice to work a bit more with for loops and some more advanced javascript, but I hope that it will be included in the following modules :)

The new Responsive course really lets you focus on the creative side of front-end development and challenges you to make a site that looks good on all devices, a good way to brush up on your CSS!
It was a very exiting experience and far beyond my first expectations. I strongly recommend SheCodes' workshops to everyone who may intend to start their journey in the coding scope. It has been so much fun to learn the basics of coding. Whilst the course was challenging enough, the step by step videos, the challenges and the final project made it all very accessible. The world of coding doesn't seem so obscure any more and I can't wait to continue to the next level.
I've been in the same field of work for 17 years and decided to take a chance on coding. There were many times where I was frustrated and wanted to quit but I felt so accomplished when I was able to get the code to work. I can't wait to learn more.

I was a bit nervous to start this course, as I had very little coding experience before SheCodes. However, Matt's lessons were clear and fun to follow along with! The way the classes were presented followed by the hands-on challenges helped cement the learning process and made me eager to learn more. Also, the staff and the Slack channel were super supportive, always available to answer questions if I got stuck. I'm excited to see where this coding journey will lead me and I can't wait to keep going!
I am learning so much through SheCodes and am very excited to finish Responsive and start React this following Monday! I love that I will have access to this information in perpetuity so that I can go back and review when necessary. I have already landed my first freelance development job!

SheCodes it's amazing! Coming from a background that has nothing to do with codes and learning them from scratch has been so easy because of SheCodes. I honestly see myself doing codes because the process of learning has been friendly and easygoing. Matt explains so well and having the platform to connect and share doubts is a big plus! This course is a good introduction into the world of coding. One of the best things about it is how you finish with complete projects. You get a lot of help along the way, but by the end of it recreating a similar project would be a piece of cake. I was able to finish the class feeling like a had learned something that I could actually use later.π

The course was fun!! A bit too basic for me, since I worked with HTML and CSS before. JS was a bit more challenging but not too much. What I loved is that I actually finished this course, which was my main goal! Now I can confidently do other courses and keep learning!! π

SheCodes provides an amazing introduction to coding. The thing I learned besides coding is being patient and trying to solve the code on my own. Sometimes coding can be frustrating but the satisfaction afterward gives you the confidence to keep going! I will try to make more websites in my free time in the future.

Over the past 8 weeks, I learned more about HTML/CSS e definitely more about JavaScript and I'm super proud of what I have built in such a short time. SheCodes Plus is definitely more advanced and challenging but it is super worthy if you like coding. I'm looking forward to start React and play a bit more with JavaScript. Matt is a great instructor and I sincerely recommend this class.
The Java Script classes are led in a fun and pleasant way and weekly homeworks motivate to learn regulary! Good job π
This was my second workshop with Matt and the SheCodes community. Again, an excellent experience. Whenever I got stuck, there was help. I learned a lot and look forward to the React workshop. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to learn HTML, CSS and JS in a structured and fun manner.
If you're on the fence about taking this course, take the plunge because it is worth it! I really like the approach SheCodes has taken towards teaching. I have tried to learn to code in the past on other websites but the lack of challenges and accountability kept me from completing the course. SheCodes made the learning process fun and allow me a showcase my own creativity. They also provided help at every corner, whereas in other courses students are left to find answers on their own. Furthermore, the affordability of the basics course really helps as it gave me the opportunity to decide if I would enjoy coding. I would highly recommend the basics course to everyone!

I've learned so much through these courses! I'm confident in the knowledge I have gained and am excited to get out there and use it towards a career change. I've been waiting tables and bartending for most of my adult life, which allowed me to obtain my Bachelor degree in Health Information Management, but I quickly realized that was not for me. I decided it was time for a change and started looking into coding. It can be very intimidating searching for the right classes, or bootcamps, and figuring out what is best for you. Thankfully I stumbled across this program. It doesn't come super easy, and can get frustrating at times, but the Slack chat team was so great at responding quickly and always had helpful answers. I'm so happy I finally decided to go for it with this program!
Course was very easy to follow! I love that all of the lessons were pre-recorded so I could work on my own time, which is important considering that I work full time. I feel much more confident in my abilities after taking this course!
I'm really excited to be starting my coding journey with SheCodes, the bite sized step-by-step lessons allow for flexibility of study, and facilitate learning a breadth of information and technical know-how in a short space of time. I have been able to learn a range of skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and VS Code editor, extremely quickly. The fun interactive challenges serve to test and consolidate your knowledge and keep your progress ontrack. There is also a supportive and responsive SheCodes community and tutors continuously on hand.

I am really proud of what I was able to achieve with the SheCodes Plus course. It's really great to code something and see an immediate outcome on your screen. What you code is what you see. Having real life data come into play with API integrations already makes me feel like a real coder!
SheCodes Responsive was the last available SheCodes workshop for me and I'm so happy I decided to take this final step. Very happy with the set-up of the SheCodes workshops. I hope more tracks will be added in the future!

I enjoyed this course and feel like I have a good grasp of the basics of JS and React now. Learning hands-on directly through applied projects can be a challenge, but this workshop was just challenging enough that I learned a lot without getting totally frustrated and confused. And I've already signed up for a few advanced React-related courses...suffice it to say, I'm hooked.
After trying the first workshop, it was impossible for me not to continue on to the second one. I feel like in the past few weeks I've learned so much! I can't wait to see what's next!
