Another very useful workshop to understand the challenges of responsive layouts, once more with lots of learning and comprehensive classes with Matt!
Every time I reach the end of a course my excitement levels go through the roof. The responsive course was the perfect time to put all the skills and techniques I have learned so far into practice. I am feeling more and more ready to jump into the developer world! Bring on the final course!

SheCodes React was a lot of fun! Definitely recommend if you are new to coding with react.
Plus is definitely more challenging than Basicsπ. I enjoyed learning about APIs - it's really impressive that the end product is a working website using real-time data :)
Love that Matt walks you logically through each step of the coding fundamentals. It's super beginner-friendly and the challenges that follow each exercise help to put to practice what you learn. The SheCodes team is amazing and very prompt in answering general questions about the workshop as well as troubleshooting when you get stuck (which you inevitably will, but that's all part of the coding process!).
This coding journey was absolutely amazing. Matt explained in a simple matter and made it easy to follow. I throughly enjoyed my project and super proud of myself to make this weather app. I can't wait to continue my coding journey with SheCodes.
Moving to React from vanilla JS was intimidating and challenging at first, to say the least. But once you come to understand and appreciate the logic and elegance it is so worth it and very satisfying to use.
I tried many years ago to develop Front-End skills, but after HTML and CSS I felt overwhelmed and - without a real project - just stuck. Then I got a real possible project to work on at my job. At the same time I bumped into SheCodes. It was love at first sight! My company and my university helped me out and I just started. With SheCodes one can find not only a really clear and project-driven learning environment, but also a community of people ready to expose their wins and failures, mistakes and eurekas... I even met some of my fellows in real life, sharing this passion and trying to do better all together :D Now it is possible for me to play with JavaScript, APIs, hosting platforms and GitHub. Just amazing what you can achieve in some months! Looking forward to complete the next steps!
It was a incredible workshop. I learned a lot about responsive design and seo. For sure, it was an important step to develop my tech skills.

It was amazing to learn something new and discover a new passion! I could never imagine that in a 3 weeks time I would be able to build my own mini website as well! The classes were so easy to understand and follow, it was also greatly designed to fit in in my busy working schedule. I am looking forward to start Shecodes React course soon and maybe take that knowledge into transition into a new career!

I'm amazed how much I have learned within the past few months. The wonderful team that answers so many questions for me and guides me through codes with an explanation that are so detailed. I finally realized this past workshop is that Matt teaches in a way to make you think . Making a mistake in class is a learning experience, not a negative one. Definitely the most challenging SheCodes workshop. It helped me to understand how React works, how complex and powerful it is. I think it was a great introduction to React, but there is so much learning and independent practicing to do. It feels amazingly rewarding, yet already a bit sad that half year of SheCodes journey has come to an end for me. Thank you Matt and the whole team!
This course is amazing. It's very well structured. I have tried to learn from many websites, though they all contain all information I was never able to keep up. SheCodes structure and the pace are perfect..yes perfect.

I started my career in the tech industry two years ago, and since day 1 Iβve had the benefit of meeting and interacting with many talented and inspiring developers. Very good course structure with short lessons and challenges focused on the topics of the lesson so it is easy to follow along. Caution: projects are addictive.

I couldn't believe that I could build my very own weather app within just a few weeks. Matt makes it very easy to understand and the team is very helpful and answer question promptly. I recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to learn building websites and coding effectively.
This was such a fun course, although the java script weeks earlier on were a huge learning curve, it's amazing to see how far you come at the end. I really enjoyed how the course was structured and feel like I've learnt a lot. If you're interested in learning more about coding, I would definitely recommend!
I had 0 knowledge about coding, but i was very curious to learn it. I did not know where to start and SheCodes was the perfect opportunity. It was so much fun and it was easy to lear the content. I have enjoyed every single tutorial and challenge of this course. I can just recommend it 100%, the lectures are very easy to follow so is perfect for absolute beginners and you will end up knowing how to build your first web from scratch. Looking forward for the next course now!

Just finished SheCodes Basics and I absolutely loved it. It is very well designed with the learning videos, the little challenges, the two bigger homeworks and the final project. Very well structured, making learning to code so easy!

I really enjoyed this part of the course. It was challenging and overwhelming, but really fun thanks to Matt, who made every new concept more approachable to every woman new in programming. Being able to see how much have I grown as a frontend developer from the very first day of the SheCodes journey, gives me the confidence I need to pursue a new career in Software Engineering.

What a wonderful class! I had great fun learning (and struggling) with the projects but being able to review the videos over and see the questions that other coders had on slack was a tremendous help. I would highly recommend the whole SheCodes series.

Very clear and well explained lessons. I didn't have any knowledges about coding and didn't know where to start but I enjoy every single lessons.
Yet another mile stone for me as I complete the SheCodes responsive workshop with shecodes.io. If asked when I started, if I was going to achieve these much just within a couple of weeks, I would have doubted it hands down. But matt brought in the magic wand in his teaching technics and all of a sudden βeverything is possible if you put your mind to it. lolβ To all the SheCodes team, an ocean full of thanks for making this a reality. One thing I am taking to till the end of this career part that I have chosen is that, learning is constant, and to that, I say, On to the next phase.

This was a great experience. I am interested in learning more or even signing up for the advanced courses. The structure is great. The help on slack is helpful also.
When I was a teenager, I loved trying to build websites - however, it was all about trial and error (when internet was still starting...). Fast forward to today, here I am, officially learning how to code. I am really happy I found the SheCodes Workshops. I am definitely going to keep on developing in my journey in coding.

Being surrounded by family and friends in software, I've always thought coding was mysterious and intimidating. A couple years ago, I started working in tech as a Project Manager and recently decided I wanted to expand my skillset. The woman-centered community and beginner first approach of SheCodes made coding feel attainable and I'm so proud of what I've learned in the past three weeks.
After completing the SheCodes Basics course I was so excited to start learning front end development. SheCodes Plus was so informative and I learned a lot. I never thought I would be coding my own weather app. If you are thinking about taking any of these courses I would say do it now! It's always good to gain new skills. I had so much fun and I can't wait to start the next workshop!
I've learnt so much more than I thought I could in a few short weeks! I've gone from having very limited knowledge of coding, to feeling confident enough to produce my own code, and troubleshoot issues. The more challenging tasks have ultimately been the most rewarding, and the Slack community has been a great way of sharing the learning experience, sometimes it's nice to know you're not the only one that has a troublesome element that won't align!

I have been having great times experiencing coding with the journey with SheCodes. It has been lots of difficulties at first, but then I have received lots of support from other learners and mentors, and I really appreciate that!
A very nice course for beginners.
Frankly I was a bit anxious that I will find it diffucult to understand the logic of coding and as the result I would need a lot of additional time to prepare for the lessons. But it turned quite different! Everything was explained clearly, so I could get down to coding without any doubt. During this course I gained knowledge that I have already applied at my current job, so it's definitely a win.
I completed SheCodes Basic and decided to take the opportunity to learn more about front-end coding. And I'm so glad that I did!! I never thought that I would enjoy creating my own weather application so much but it's all thanks to the great support team and instructor at SheCodes that I was able to get this far. The lessons are delivered in a clear and concise way and the content is easy to understand which makes learning fun. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to go further with their coding skills!

My friend took the 3-week course and mentioned it to me. We both work in tech for different companies. Coding is something I've always been interested in doing, but it intimidated me. It seemed so complex and overwhelming. Matt and the whole team do a terrific job of breaking it down, just like learning a new language. I'm so glad my friend brought this course to me. I would have never imagined that I could do something like this.
It was challenging, but I am glad I signed up for it... It is just the beginning of this journey for me.
After stumbling across this coding workshop by accident, I've fallen in love with Coding. I'm currently studying Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, however, this workshop was so fun that I will be transferring to Web Development completely. I highly recommend these classes. I can't wait to move on to SheCodes Plus!

I love how the workshops build on each other, delivering material in approachable, bite-sized pieces. My final project for SheCodes Responsive has progressed so far since I took SheCodes Basic, and I am so much more confident writing code.

I really enjoyed all of the videos. The SheCodes Basics was a great start and broke down all the concepts in a way I understood. I would recommend this class, especially since you get to learn with programs that are used in real life.
A great introduction to coding! Lessons were super clear and challenges in between lessons leading up to the homework/projects helped to solidify my understanding throughout the course.
I have really enjoyed learning to code, the lessons have been easy to understand and the constant practice allows steady progress in developing these new skills.

It's great that you can set your own space completing this workshop, and I would have never thought that I would lose myself in coding for hours and hours because I wanted to learn more and more. The videos are easy to follow and Matt provides great tips. I've done some other online courses about HTML and CSS in the past, but I was never able to find the right commitment. The challenges and homework at SheCodes changed that. I'm very proud of the end result!
I already had some know-how about coding, but this was completely different. The fact we need to make, after a video some work let me begin thinking in code more easily. I learned more things than I knew. A really good beginning to pursuing a new skill or career

I used to self-study Javascript and HTML/CSS, and because of my experience, I knew I needed to find a place where someone could teach me a more concrete foundation. I chose SheCodes because it felt comfortable to me knowing other women around my age wanted to develop a new skill that wasn't in their current repertoire. The BASICS package was very easy to go through - especially because I had prior knowledge, but I did learn a few other things while going through each lesson and doing each assignment. I think it was nice to hear a few tips from Matt and how actual developers might do some basic coding.
I never worked on html or javascript before, but I really think that everyone should know the basics. I mean, everything runs on websites, you should know at least what they're made of!
