When I decided to try out SheCodes, I was hoping to refresh my memory on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. My experience with coding has mostly been using more object-oriented languages like Java and Python. More than expected, I was able to build a much better responsive website through the SheCodes workshop compared to when I first started. It was nice to relearn the basics and it helped me discover a passion for responsive web design. I hope to build on more from what I learned here and see where it takes me.

During the pandemic, I began to really think about what I wanted to be doing with my time. I no longer found joy from the work I was doing and I wanted more financial, time and location freedom and I have found that in coding. SheCodes has been a great start to my coding journey. I dream about it at night and when I'm at work, its all I can think about. Its such an empowering course but it definitely opens the doors to all that is possible. So glad I took the leap to take the course because there's no turning back now!

Matt is an engaging instructor, and the lessons are easy to understand and put into practice while remaining on track. There's a number of coding tools for self-service. The customer success team and teaching assistants provide support and encouragement when needed. There's also a global community of students available to help. If you're slightly curious about coding, I highly recommend it!

I am a SheCodes React student finishing her SheCodes Basics workshop. It has been an amazing 2 weeks journey and I feel so happy with my decision to join SheCodes. I thoroughly enjoyed this course. Starting out as someone with no experience coding, I appreciated how each element of HTML, CSS, and JS were broken down into small, easily digestible lessons and then being challenged to apply the material immediately to solidify the content. I've had a lot of fun playing around with what I've been learning in general, which was a pleasant surprise! I highly recommend this class for anyone.

I've wanted to change careers for a long time but have felt stuck and discouraged at the prospect. After seeing ads for SheCodes I decided to take the free class on a whim, thinking what do I have to lose? I never thought coding would be something I could do but I liked the free class so much I signed up for Basics right away. The lessons were easy to follow and the challenges were really fun. I can actually see myself working in the tech field now and I definitely plan on continuing my education through SheCodes. If you want to see if coding is for you or learn the basics I cannot recommend SheCodes enough!

It has been an incredible experience. Had 10/10 fun with it. In those 3 weeks of the workshop, I learned a lot about what we - regular users - deem obvious. It gave me a great first impression and most of all, it didn't scare me away! On the contrary, I feel like I want to dig deeper and learn more about coding!

Is it possible to work full-time and do a SheCodes course? Yes, but you have to put in the extra work and you have to code every week, at least every second day to stay inside the loop. This is my second SheCodes course and I really enjoy learning with Mattβs videos. Things start to get a little more complicated now, but I am excited about whatβs coming next and how everything Iβve learned is intertwining. Coding is creative and code is poetry.
Loved getting into coding and learning about the basics! I had zero knowledge going into classes but the interactive workshops made it easy and fun to follow along!

I started working in the hospitality industry years ago while completing my University degree. When I graduated, I wasn't very sure what direction to go so I decided to travel the world instead. π After working my way up in the hospitality industry while globetrotting, I realized I have a love for software and processes. I decided to take the risk and switch industries! Since then, I feel like I'm finally able to apply my education to something I'm passionate about. It was actually a client of mine that recommended I sign up for SheCodes so with the support of my Manager, I decided to take the leap and start learning how to code. I've really enjoyed this course and can't wait to learn even more with the hopes I can apply this knowledge in my current position and assist with my career development moving forward.π

Amazing Again! This is my 3rd course with SheCodes, and I have gained an insane amount of skills and confidence in coding within a short space of time. I thoroughly enjoyed creating my own Responsive website for my portfolio, it gave me ample opportunity to strengthen my command of Bootstrap. After taking Basics and Plus, I was fully equipped to tackle my Responsive project more independently. It was great learning how to build a project on which I could showcase my Weather App and future projects too! My mind is buzzing with all of the projects I want to build now!
I had so much fun during this course!! It taught me so much and the learning is very enjoyable. It's great to see so many inspired and driven women.
SheCodes basic is a great way to learn what coding is. Some tasks almost drove me crazy, but Matt's repetition that coding is fun kept me going. Some tasks include elements which were not talked about in the videos. This was a great way to use learned information. I am thankful to Matt and the Team for this course!

I began my coding journey with SheCodes Basics about a month ago. SheCodes Plus was challenging, but I have learned so much and am incredibly proud of myself! I cannot wait to continue learning with Responsive and React. SheCodes has helped me have the confidence to learn how to code and has opened new doors for me.
SheCodes is an excellent way to learn the basics of coding at your own pace, with great instructional tutorials and fun hands-on projects.
SheCodes taught me that coding is not for engineers only, and that we can mix tech & creativity π€ Everybody should learn how to code, and this workshop was truly amazing. Highly recommended!
Matt's instructional videos were short, but concise and easy to follow. I loved that there is a community to ask for help and that after you submit and assignment there is a video with the solution for you to check your work.

I was thinking about switching carrier for a while and my friend found for me SheCodes free class. Decided to try a beginer program to "test the waters". Best decision ever! SheCodes very easy to learn but what i loved the most is time flexibility. Can't wait to start other programs!

This workshop has taught me so much in 3 weeks and it is really enjoyable. The lessons and challenges were clear and easy to follow. From someone who came into this as a beginner, this workshop not only teaches you a lot, but also helps you practice in gaining confidence with the things you learn. Seriously a lot of fun.

I would have never thought it would be possible for me to become interested in coding but I had a lot of fun! It really is amazing to be able to create something out of nothing and lots of fun when something does not work and you have to figure out why! I don't work a typical full-time, 9-5 job as a healthcare worker in a hospital setting. Having the option to do the workshop in a longer session was a great help. I will more than likely sign up for another class on SheCodes!

After finishing SheCodes Basics I was extremely excited to continue my coding journey. My favorite part about coding is being able to be creative and literally start from scratch and create anything you want! I learned so much during these past 8 weeks and it has only driven me to continue my coding journey. I've learned a lot about myself as well. At times my patience was really tested and I got frustrated at times but I learned if I continued trying, watched the videos again, and/or asked for help on Slack I was able to figure out a solution. I'm so happy with how my Weather App came out and I'm looking forward to the next step!

I've been dabbling in different fields for years! I wasn't sure what my "niche" was or what direction I wanted to take my life. Once I started this program I immediately fell in love and can confidently move forward to become a woman in tech! I am beyond excited to see what doors will open with these new skills.
Having come across SheCodes through a platform I belong to on facebook (Portfolio 9 Community), I got so interested because I love to task my creativity in diverse areas of specialization. I cannot thank God enough for connecting me to SheCodes. All through the learning process, I was amazed at the simplicity of coding and with the help of the team members in putting me through when I get stuck, I must commend you all. I had been putting "Learn to code" on my resolutions for the past two or three years, but I would start and immediately get annoyed when I did not understand something. It always felt like they call it a beginners course but it really wasn't, so I felt defeated most of the time. But, with SheCodes, I felt like the structure of the courses and the way lessons are conveyed is so easy to understand, and the transitions from one topic to the other are so smooth. This was quite life-changing because now, I feel that I get how programming works, and the things that seemed abstract before, now make sense. On top of that, there is round the clock help in case you need it, this is something I haven't found with other online courses either. So absolutely, I recommend this platform.
I loved learning the basic of coding and can't wait for future workshops. I feel accomplished in what I was able to learn through this journey.
