I loved the SheCodes workshop. As a beginner to coding, I found everything was delivered perfectly with just enough information and lessons to become confident and not overwhelmed. This was just what I was looking for and i'm so grateful to Matt & the team for sharing this knowledge with us.
Such an easy way to learn how to code. I really enjoyed how simple the instructions were and how easy it was to find the information I needed or find help using the Slack support. Once I can, I will be doing the more advanced programs in the future!

I thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes Basics. I needed something to spark my brain and this is it! I have no background in the tech world whatsoever, but I am excited to dive in. The lessons were very informative and self paced, which I loved because I did need to step away a few times. As a math educator looking to transition into the world of tech, I wanted to find a program that was not only affordable, but meaningful to my interests in this new field. I've also been a coding coach for a program that allowed me to teach other young girls how to embrace the world of technology within STEM; so finding myself working with SheCodes truly brought out my young, intelligent mind and excitement! Completing just the Basics Workshop has me thrilled to want to pursue the next levels of learning code (and essentially become a Front-end Developer). I send a BIG THANK YOU to Matt and many others who have created such a space where women can come together and sort through this world of technology in a convenient matter of time.
Matts teaching style was great, he easily broke down daunting looking codes into simple pieces you could understand then tied it all together at the end of the lesson. This is a great intro course to CSS, HTML, JAVA, and Visual Studio and I would recommend it to anyone who is curious about coding or learning a new skill. This course also provided a creative outlet for me that I wasn't expecting, and that was one of the most rewarding things about this course.
I am looking to make a big career transition and I think SheCodes is the perfect path for me to accomplish this big milestone in my life! As somebody who has spent many years in college, I think this course is very well structured. The team really does a wonderful job at making you feel heard/seen for a class that isn't in person or through zoom like a traditional class. You guys are doing a fantastic job with the support!
While this has been a challenging 8 week course, I finally feel that I understand it, after many frustrating moments. It is a very satisfying feeling when you get it, and are proud of yourself. I am very happy on what I have accomplished so far. This course really teaches you a lot compared to just the basics, so it is super great and fun to dive deeper into this world of coding. I am excited to continue!
Another amazing experience with SheCodes! Many times an overlooked aspect of programming, knowing how to build a responsive page is in fact fundamental. I've certainly learned essential coding skills for building not only a nice-looking website but also one that is fully responsive and functional. I highly recommend taking this workshop. I started this workshop knowing nothing about coding, and in a mere three weeks I learned how to build a website with user interactions and other features. I feel that I have acquired a very useful set of skills in a very short time.
This workshop has been great, explanations are clear and I really enjoyed doing the challenges and projects, the workshop has been really fun!

I was always nervous about signing up for an online class for coding because I was worried that the content wouldn't be thorough enough and I wouldn't be able to get support after I made my purchase. After attending the free information session that Matt gave, I felt like SheCodes was a trustworthy organization. For the price of the course, I was so surprised at how in-depth each lesson was and I loved getting the validation of a real human checking my homework and letting me know I was doing everything right; that is something that worried me with other courses β nobody would be able to confirm if I was actually learning the material correctly. Matt is easy to follow along with and does a great job articulating his thought process and clarifying when something could be easily confused. I think the price of this course in contrast to what's provided proves that Matt created these courses with the intention to make this industry more accessible to women, not to get rich.
Uaaaau!!! I can't believe I did this. Not the best design to my final project but writing the code I really enjoyed! Difficult to wrap my head around all those functions but finally I got to make it work. I am so impatient to take the next steps and learn more and more.
Great course! There was loads of challenges when learning, and as a kinesthetic learner it made it so easy to learn and get the hang of things. You can go at your own pace whether it be a session a night, or 10 sessions a day so it really fits around a busy schedule!
This course is so easy to follow that you can start and stop without worrying about messing up your progress. The lessons are broken down into very digestible pieces of information and you can move through them very quickly. I love the function to speed up the videos for when I just need to review one part. I would recommend this course to anyone even remotely interested in coding!
Even though I learnt HTML and CSS basics during my studies about 10 years ago it was really good to start with SheCodes Basics! I learnt a lot and had fun! The challenges and the project were interesting, sometimes challenging but also really satisfying in the end! I would highly recommend SheCodes Basics and I am looking forward to starting SheCodes Plus.
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wishes to showcase their work through a portfolio website. It has been so fun designing and coding this project !π©βπ»π
SheCodes introductory training was somewhat easy to follow with Matt's informative video that you can slow down, rewind etc if needed. I found myself able to keep a good pace and am still finding coding fun. Really glad i learned about SheCodes.

I'm very happy with the workshop. This was my introduction to coding and I found it personally fun and engaging, and it has incentivized me to learn more.
SheCodes is great for hands-on + visual learning. The way the classes are structured makes it easy to follow along and the material is digestible. I loved the courses and having homework at the end of the week it allowed for true flexibility. I know from this workshop I'm well on my way to being an amazing web-developer!
I love the way lessons are delivered in a highly interactive way, which really motivates me to learn and put new knowledge into practice right afterwards!

I am a person with NO coding knowledge at all - to me it always looked like Matrix π But when I saw stories shared by many women around me, but also here on the SheCodes and after I took the introductory webinar, I realised that it does not have to be so difficult at all! In the BASIC package you really learn the most basic things (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and Matt is extremely good lecturer π€© You can have your own pacing, you do not need to rush anywhere so there is no room for any kind of stress. If you feel lost, slow down, take a deep breath and start again π€Believe in yourself! π«

The learing of coding From start was easy to follow. The React projects are challenging and very fun to work on, I've learned a lot from the courses. Im very thankful to Shecodes team for the opportunity.
Speaking from a graphic designer point of view: This was a great refresher course from the "little" coding I learned from uni. Although Javascript was new for me, it was easier to grasp with Matt's βlearnβing videos, followed by coding challenges, and weekly projects to practise as you are learning. Just when you think you wonβt be able to wrap your head around it. It all comes together in the end. For graphic designers, itβs great to understand how your design concepts can be translated and built into coding. I look forward to the next workshop!

This was a great introduction to web development. The course was set out really well covering the basics and the practice assignments after each lesson ensured you understood the content.

SheCodes beats all the other coding lessons I've tried in the past. The homework deadlines provide me the accountability to turn in my work in time, and the lessons are full of information yet manageable and taught in a way that's approachable. Plus, the slack community is very helpful. I never knew coding could be fun until I tried SheCodes.
Although React was quite difficult to learn, the videos, challenges and guidance made it possible. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to create two different projects.

Responsive is the ideal follow-up course to Plus - it cements what has been previously covered but adds a much greater level of finesse to the finished project. I feel a lot more confident using code and it is great to have a fully functional website at the end of it!
I almost didn't sign up for this 3 week workshop. I honestly thought I couldn't do it and it was going to be super tough, too much for me to handle. BUT Matt does an excellent job teaching it step by step. I didn't know anything about coding or how it worked. Now I know the basics and I cannot wait to learn more!

I have been really pleased with my SheCodes journey so far. After completing SheCodes basic I knew I wanted to progress and learn more about coding and work towards a career change. The course has been really coherent and clear to follow. I am a mum of 2 young children, so it has been really ideal being able to work through each week at my own pace and fit it around my schedule. It has been really useful to have the community on Slack too for support and guidance and the SheCodes team have been really helpful along the way. I have learnt so much so far and I am very grateful to SheCodes and look forward to continuing my journey!

I signed up for SheCodes Basics on International Women's Day as a way to celebrate womanhood. I wanted to learn a new skill and support a business that empowers women of all ages! I have to say, I cannot believe how fast 10 days went by, I had an incredible time learning and practising my newly found skills! I absolutely recommend SheCodes basics to anyone who is interested. The structure of the workshop was well-thought out, making challenges achievable and less intimidating. The weekly projects were a definite brain teaser, but once you complete them you can't help but feel proud and accomplished! I look forward to learning more!
I came across SheCodes one night just before bed as I searched for coding classes while laying in bed and got myself enrolled for the free coding class. After attending the free class, I enquired about the prices and was rather skeptical. I had so many questions racing through my head on whether I should commit myself to do this?, if it was gonna be worth it?, will I stay motivated to complete the package?(p.s. I was interested on the Pro package), why is it expensive do they do student prices?, despite all that I got in touch with the customer success officer and registered myself for the Pro package. The team is simply awesome. I wanted a class that is flexible, interactive, challenging and rewarding. Hands down, SheCodes is one of the most amazing decisions I have ever made for myself. I am wanting for more and more lessons every single day, It's just so interesting that I don't want to put it away!
It was a great class to converge everything learned in the Basics course into a real-world application. I look forward to the more advanced classes.
I learned loads about JavaScript, GitHub and APIs in this course. I like that it was self paced and found the homework and final project really fun.

SheCodes gives a great introduction to coding. A lot of different material is covered and it gives you a great kickstart if you wish to change your career path or boost your existing one. You're able to speed up or slow down each video to your liking which a great additive. It was a fun, educative and challenging course. Would recommend!

SheCodes Plus was fun since we could interact with APIs and used what we learned on Basics to create a functional project. Matt does a great job in his videos of making things clear and easy to understand. The lessons are relatively short and cover a lot. However, I think you just need to play around with functions to get a better understanding on how things work.

The lessons were very easy to follow because Matt breaks down the material step by step. Also the staff on slack were very helpful, it seems like there were no coding issues they can't solve.
Being part of this workshop has been awesome, I enjoy the fact that you could learn at your own time and understand each one of the lessons thanks to the clarity of the videos and examples given by Matt I highly recommend it.

These three weeks of the SheCodes Basics Workshop have been both awesome and challenging. I really enjoyed learning the very basics of coding specially HTML and CSS. JavaScript is been definitely more challenging to learn for me but I somehow managed to complete the challenges which makes me proud and stoked! Matt is an awesome teacher and he explains it all in a very simple and understandable way. Bruno and Joao have been super nice and helpful as well and all the coders from the slack platform are super keen to learn and help to each other which makes the whole coding experience really fun and friendly. I have already been able to easily build upon what I learned to make the page appear and function differently according to my liking with simple google searches on JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. I used to freak out when I saw any type of coding in front of me, but decided to learn it anyway. At first, I struggled to find a learning path that I could stick to. And SheCodes Basics was exactly what I needed. I went from 0 to my very first landing page!!! I look foward to the next steps on my coding journey and I want to change careers now, to something on Front-End.
