SheCodes Coding Workshop Reviews

I have been learning through various courses about programing in high school and college. The issue for me was that there has not been enough order in specific concepts or communication in my courses. This made me feel very behind and unprepared during my previous internship. Now, I have covered some basics that I was never even introduced to and I can full heartedly say I had more enjoyment out of this course than any in person courses at my university! I had also never been able to be apart of a community within my major during my time at my university. I now feel more comfortable than ever to ask any questions and reach out to this wonderful and growing community! I have always wanted to learn more out side of the classroom and this is defiantly where I can do that!

I loved the self-pace aspect of SheCodes - I could take as much or as little time as I needed with amazing support from the staff. Definitely a 10/10 experience

It's been great learning the basics - very easy to follow and understand. Looking forward to SheCodes Plus!

The weather app was difficult but I feel much more equipped to deal with JS in the future.

This course was easy to follow as someone who has zero coding experience. As challenging as the content was, Matt explained things well and really went step by step. For problems I could not solve immediately, I could look back at past lessons, or use the research methods he recommended to find solutions.

I've really liked building up my skills on this workshop and I've noticed my confidence improve loads! It's been fun and rewarding to see myself progress and create something from the knowledge I have learned here on SheCodes.

Really useful to do a portfolio as a project. It was nice to learn about responsive websites.

I really enjoyed learning HTML and CSS. JavaScript seems a bit trickier but I imagine it would be very helpful to find out more about it (: Small challenges at the end of the lessons were fun. It is a great opportunity for development and self-discovery.

This course is a very good start in programming. In three weeks I received a knowledge base that will help in further learning. This is a very valuable experience and I am glad that I got the opportunity to study at SheCodes.

Wow! What an experience! Being able to work on your own pace and still be able to get it done by the deadline is a closer step to meeting your goal. I'm detail-oriented and organized so I like my setup to look a certain way as it did get frustrating at times but the satisfaction of getting it done is all worth it. The courses could get difficult but honestly is was fun learning a new skill and having a hands on experience like you would in a classroom. I would defiantly recommend this workshop to any female beginner; this would be a great start! You will not regret it! Go for it! 😁

SheCodes is a great way to see if you enjoy coding as well as a great way to learn. At times some assignments can be difficult, but you always have help and support, and overall the workshops are very informative.

Challenging, Exciting but very Doable!

I've had a great time, lerning coding with course SheCodes Basics. Thanks to it, now I have a lot of practical necessary knowledge. I am eternally grateful!

I recommend to pass Basics level for managers working with teams. It helps a lot to understand how a programmer works and how they think to solve problems in the code. This experience helps me to improve the work tasks estimation and workflow in general.

I really like this course! The whole material is laid out in such a way that it seems that everything is very simple and there is a desire to learn more and more. At times, it was difficult to do homework, but then came a feeling of complete happiness and pride that you can do something with your own hands.

When I was studying programming in school and university, I hated CSS! It seemed to me so difficult and boring, but now I'm completely in love! 😍 I hope, one day SheCodes will make me love JS 😉 The course was quite easy but also challenging! I love that the video lessons last max 15min. I think that long hours videos would make me bored and I wouldnt want to study at all. The short videos with max needed information are the best! Thank you for such an opportutiny to improve myself!

Practice, Practice, Patrice. SheCodes Responsive is the best way to keep on track with your growth! The deadlines and the technical support team are making all the difference and i am learning more and fast, than i ever could've imagined. I highly recommed SheCodes Plus and Responsive to everybody, who constantly growing knowledge base.

I rate the SheCodes Bootcamp so highly. Matt's teaching style is amazing. Every new episode builds upon what you learnt previously. I highly recommend the basic course, the information is divided into nice small parts, so lesson will not be boring or tiring. The best thing for me is a structure! And worth to mention the speed of Matt's speech, it is really easy to understand everything even on 1,5x speed:)

Great for absolute beginners! In a relatively short time, you can learn the basics. And plus all the tasks are fun so it is a delightful course.

Great workshop where you learn some great basic coding skills. For me it was a nice foundation to really get started with coding

I would highly recommend this course. Everything was easy to understand and funny to do.

This is an eye opening project that shows a lot of work is done in the background (coding) in order to create a project that looks simple on the surface. One has to be patience in learning as it is all about trial and error especially when encountering error during the project. Luckily the videos/source code that is provided has been sufficient and there are staff in slack whom you can approach anytime for help.

I highly recommend Delac Foundation, because all the material is given in a clear and well srtuctured way. I've learnt so much about coding for these three weeks and am really grateful for the knowledge and experience!

The SheCodes Basics workshop was a great introduction to coding! I feel like I learned a lot and had support throughout the process. I also appreciated the extensions on due dates because sometimes life throws unexpected obstacles in your way!
