I have worked in digital marketing for 6+ years and wanted to explore the world of tech. For many years I thought there was no place for me because I do not have an affinity for math and science, but I was wrong. I'm excited to become a front-end developer, and to specialize in an area of tech.
I was very nervous to start this course, to my surprise I learned a lot from SheCodes. I did not have a lot of background knowledge of how to code and I feel like I learned a lot based on the program.
This was very interesting and good course for me. I know many new information.
SheCodes is a great platform. You're motivated to step out of your comfort zone from the very beginning. It's an environment where you are encouraged to try different solutions and "break things" because they can always be fixed. Grateful for the opportunity to work with them and experiment with different frameworks.

I didn't imagine that coding is something that I could ever learn; I have always thought that it is a very complicated subject and only those good in math or "engineers" can understand it. But as I started the lessons I began to see that it can be an interesting and fun experience. SheCodes lessons were divided into a few minutes per topic so the student wouldnβt be overwhelmed. There were challenges at the end of each lesson so it served as a review and to practice what I understood about the topic. Matt is also a great instructor; he was able to explain things very well, in a simple and clear manner. I found myself looking forward to watching each lesson! And to the amazing support of the SheCodes team, where you can readily ask for help in case you get stuck on the assignments that you are working on. I enjoyed the course a lot. The course doesn't require any previous programming experience and is suitable for absolute beginners who would like to try programming but don't know where to start. In the beginning, I just wanted to support the team for giving Ukrainian women an opportunity to learn web development during these harsh times. And in the end, I actually had a lot of fun doing all the homework, watching the videos, and learning. I have already recommended this course to a friend of mine.
I was quite hesitant before signing up because I didn't think I would be able to learn how to code. But the lessons are very well designed: the videos are short which makes it accessible, the exercises are fun but difficult enough to make it challenging and there is constant interaction with the SheCodes team π©βπ» in case you have questions. Also, since English is not my native language, I was afraid that learning to code would be a double challenge for me. But Matt speaks slowly and is super clear, plus there are tools like Close Caption to help those who have English as their second or third language. I highly recommend it; this course proves that we can all code πͺπ½πͺπ½.

Im a 28 year old mom of 2 heading for a complete career change. This program has helped me really level up my skills and prepared me to be out on the field.
This was another excellent workshop. The creation of the weather app was engaging from beginning to end. In each video Matt explained everything really clearly. He was always challenging me to do my best and although it wasn't easy, it wasn't impossible. Matt really know how to go into concepts one step at a time and gradually took me from HTML and CSS to Bootstrap and JavaScript. This was another amazing workshop and I can't wait to the next.

The SheCodes Responsive workshop was fantastic. I had always wanted to learn how to build a responsive site, and the lessons broke down the process so well. I also learned a thing or two about optimizing a site for SEO which will greatly help me in my marketing work. I'm excited to get started on the next workshop SheCodes React!
I'm excited about the course! Information is easy to understand and absorb, homework right after each lesson allows you to memorize study material at one stroke. However, if you want to expand your skills faster, then you need additionally explore a lot.

I think the level of this course is great for someone who is just starting to venture into the world of web programming. It's substantial enough to give you an idea of what it's like, but easy enough so it doesn't deter you. I'm very keen on moving on to the next course.

After several months, a lot of work and a lot of effort, after a lot of research and after seeing some classes over and over again and a lot of help from the SheCodes team, which is always very patient and attentive, I finished one more course. Thank you all so much you were all spotless.
For a long time I've been passionate to work with software development, but because I hadn't studied a related major in college and being almost 30yo, for times I thought it was too late to get to such career. But when we have passion and determination, we can make anything happen. I started working as a QA, performing manual tests for a software. But manually testing at some point was no longer a challenge for me, so I wanted to dive into developing automation scripts with JS. I found sheCodes basics and I instantly fell in love with Matt's didactics, teaching code in a simple, fun and clear way! That really helped me to get a head start, with a testing tool that uses JS as framework. Further on, I decided to do shecodes Plus + React to keep learning and growing as QA and perhaps become a FE developer. It's been over 3 years working as a Quality Assurance Engineer for automation, and I can say I love my job! It's never too late to pursue your passions.
It was fun to learn how to make a website looking good on mobile devices which is a crucial skill nowadays.
