A month ago, I would have never believed I could design a landing page on my own, from head to toe. As a scientist, I value truth and logic, but I was also craving a challenge to express my creative thought. I discovered the power of blending logical thinking and creativity through coding. This workshop is super easy to follow along with. It's super hands-on and I appreciate the challenges after each lesson - it really allows any beginner to hone on to some basic html/css/js programming. loved it!
SheCodes Basics provided informative and well structured modules that made it easy as a first step into coding.
I was excited to add an extra project to my portfolio through the Basics Add-on, and I'm so glad I ended up learning so much through it! I had fun learning new techniques while building a web page that involved something I really enjoy. Mat explains each concept in ways that are easy to follow, while still allowing room for each person to add their own ideas and creativity to their design. SheCodes continues to keep me excited and curious about coding and building my confidence in these skills at the same time.

I have been trying to push myself to learn how to code. I have been intimidated to learn because it looks complicated and makes you not want to learn, but with SheCodes, I felt more confident. Yes, it is hard at first because everything is new, but it is straightforward to understand. Matt is extremely thorough in explaining. I enjoyed doing the challenges because they helped me understand where I am at and what I need to do to improve. I am glad that I took my first step into coding with SheCodes!
For my SheCodes Plus project, I built a more sophisticated weather application that pulls real-time data from a live API! This app allows users to search for any city worldwide and instantly see current weather conditions, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, and even a weather icon that changes dynamically. I also implemented a 5-day forecast feature, giving users a detailed outlook. This project challenged me to work with API integration, asynchronous JavaScript (async/await), and more complex DOM manipulation. I learned how to handle API responses, manage loading states, and create a seamless user experienceβall while ensuring the app remained fully responsive across devices. It was incredibly rewarding to take my coding skills to the next level and build something functional, practical, and interactive! After taking the previous workshops with Shecodes, this add-on workshop helped me get more comfortable using my vanilla CSS skills. This workshop is helpful to polish your skills, highly recommend it.

It's been such an incredible journey getting to this point! This React workshop was challenging but with every step I took forward, I gained more and more confidence and proved to myself that I am capable. During the creation of my Final Project, everything I learned came together and really started to click. Thanks to the technical support team, I was also able to further challenge myself with a conditional weather background feature that changes based off the weather along with the color palette. It was a really cool experience to have success as I "went rogue" and tried to challenge myself to develop a more distinguished project. I'm proud of my accomplishments and highly recommend this workshop for people who are up for the challenge and want to learn about React Development!
The simplistic nature of coding and the steps given are easy to utilize. SLACK is AMAZING when you get stuck. Having a community to communicate your walls, that you will run into learning the language of coding, is extremely relieving. Im excited to see what opportunities lay before me with this knew knowledge and community to work with alongside this journey. If you are a beginner with no experience, it's truly simplistic Matt's approach. The videos can be sped up or slowed down also, which makes room for you to absorb all the information coming through. I've always had an interest in coding, and decided to take the leap into this course. I learned how creative and fun coding can be! The way the courses were laid out was flexible for my schedule and Matt provided good challenges for skills development.

SheCodes Responsive was quite clear, generally for me HTML and CSS are much more clear that Java Script. Again, everything is explained in very clear and systematical way. After this it would be good to make your own web page to test everything that has been learned. I also appreciate free web page templates that could be used for private purpose after this course.
This project is by far the most challenging project yet. I have learned new technical skills such as weather API and integrated them into the project. I would like to give a big shoutout to Matt, Paul, Lisa, JoΓ£o, Vlada, and Bruno for always answering my questions.
I've be curious about coding for a while now and finally enrolled in the SheCodes Basics workshop to see if I would really like it. Turns out, I loved it! The lessons are super engaging and fun, and Matt explains things in an easy-to-digest manner. Highly recommend!

It is incredible what this course can make you achieve and the happiness it brings when things turn out for you. A great addition to the skills learnt during SheCodes Basics course. The Basics Add-On course gave me the tools to take my existing coding skills to the next level, adding grids, transforms and other interactive elements which helped my final project come alive.
A great introduction to coding using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The videos and challenges work well together to reinforce what you learn and the weekly homework are fun and challenging reflecting the week's work.

As a marketer I spend a lot of time on content management systems but my knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript was limited. Doing this course has given me the confidence to communicate with outsourced developers, as well as independently find and fix bugs! I loved the way the lessons were broken down, with perfect opportunities to experiment and reinforce learning with challenges and solutions. The Slack community is also a big plus!
Learning how to code was one of my biggest concerns and also wishes. After only completing the Shecode basics, I already know a lot about coding. The courses are great and they're easy to learn. SheCodes Plus has been an incredible learning experience. It is certainly a steep learning curve, however it is thoughtfully structured into manageable segments. The checkpoints each week were helpful in building confidence! Highly recommended for anyone interested in learning to code.
Loved doing the project and really appreciate the tips given by Matt that's used in real life working scenarios. Because of she codes I actually do enjoy coding as well as getting the full understanding on how it works!

I found this course very practical and useful although I didn't know much about coding. The videos were not that long to bore you and also detailed and explicit enough to understand. I found this course to be very practical, especially for someone like me with no previous knowledge about coding. SheCodes has allowed me to understand the basics of web development. The videos and resources provided were easy to understand and follow along with.
Another great workshop, where I got to challenge myself and really push myself out of my comfort zone. I learned about data attributes, setInterval, and the select element and got to create a really cool project.
I think it's a great workshop! Everything is thought out to the smallest detail so that students can not only understand the material theoretically, but practically and a lot of times to work through and test their knowledge! Difficult topics were described in detail and examples were given, so that it was possible to understand how well you mastered the material!
I would highly recommend joining SheCodes, because it is the most powerful and easy-understanding programming course I have ever attended!

I saw the ads for SheCodes online, and I am so glad I committed to the Basics! With a busy schedule, I was able to complete the course in only 16 days! Everyday, I spent an hour to an hour and a half watching/ rewatching the videos and practicing.I feel as though I learned so much information. Basics is definitely beginner friendly, and I hope to continue this journey with SheCodes!
An excellent next step after the Basics course. Challenging at times, but I've come out on the other side with vastly more knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JS. Looking forward to the next workshop!

Can't believe that I finished this workshop! Definitely harder than the Basic WS but I learned so much in the past 2 months! And I really like the final project - the weather app!
