I am so happy I signed up for the Beginners Course. It was easy to understand and the assignments were a great tool to practice html, css, and Javascript and understand the coding language. As a teacher, I highly recommend this workshop to anyone uncertain about signing up. Lessons were split into perfect portions, making it easy to learn, understand, and practice. I'm excited to sign up for the next workshop within the next few days as I finish my first workshop!
This workshop was definitely more challenging than the Basics, but nothing felt impossible.
I like the format of the workshops: quick video lessons that I can easily follow at 2x speed, lesson-based challenges just to quickly put in practice what we've just learned, and the best part is the weekly homework. Honestly, I am NOT GOOD with deadlines, but having to submit something every week keeps me going at a steady pace. I am in disbelief that I managed to submit my final project.
Matt's teaching style made complex coding tasks fun and easy to follow. My knowledge of JavaScript has grown so much thanks to SheCodes. I love the flexibility of these courses! I took a planned vacation in the middle of completing this course and it was so nice knowing I didn't have any strict deadlines and could finish the lessons on my own terms, while the weekly projects helped keep me on track. I can't wait to finish the rest of the add-ons!
I thought it was really well done. I had no coding experience prior and the steps were easy to follow. I loved the flexibility of the course and the possibility of extensions since I work full time and signed up for the course just to learn a new skill!
It's my dream to become a front-end developer. So SheCodes program gives me an opportunity to make it true as it helps to boost my knowledge and skills. This course was quite challenging, but the team was always there supporting me and ready to help. As usual, Matt gave a lot of useful tips and shared his own experience. I enjoyed all challenges tremendously. I look forward to taking another program with your team.
SheCodes plus was fun. I found it very easy to follow and understand. I would have liked to learn more conversions and a few ways to handle some of the extras I wanted to add to my final project, but overall I'm very happy and looking forward to continuing on to the next workshop.

Before starting this course, I had already been exposed to JS but this course answered a lot of my questions and cleared up so many of the misconceptions I had about JavaScript.
I found the course very easy to follow and above all fun! SheCodes has helped me to gain more confidence. I started the course with ZERO knowledge of coding, and to think that in 3 weeks I've created a website landing page is absolutely crazy to me. Matt is an excellent teacher who goes through every step, but also surprises me with something new which gave me opportunity to learn something on my own. I'm so excited to proceed to the next stage and continue the journey with SheCodes.
It was really easy to follow the courses through videos. The courses are built for you to learn how to code step by step even if you didn't know anything at all about coding before starting ! The fact that we have homework to do with deadline to respect keeps me motivated. Also the explanations are easy to understand. Would really recommend if you want the basic coding knowledge!
I saw an Instagram ad for SheCodes and, after signing up for the intro class, I knew I had to invest in this! I always thought coding would be so difficult and, while it is challenging, I have loved every minute of it. The team was also very understanding when I needed extensions due to personal reasons. If you are hesitating, don't!
The third workshop i enrolled in. learned a lot about responive pages in different devices and so mush more.
I encourage every girl to start a SheCodes "journey", you will not be dissapointed!

Once again very happy with this amazing course, I have learnt so much in a space of a few weeks. My ability to work with Javascript have improved so much and I feel so much more confident in my ability to code and deal with complex concepts π₯° can't wait to continue learning! This one was challenging to say the least! But going through this project really got me to understand the importance of CSS grids and how they show up on mobile and desktop. What I learnt from this course I apply at my job when I am working with developers. SheCodes has made me a more technical UX designer as I learn front end development as well. I am able to discuss CSS changes with developers and provide technical feedback now all because of this lovely online school and community! SheCodes has not only made me a better developer, but a better Designer and people in my life have noticed! I would HIGHLY recommend SheCodes Responsive to any designer looking to get into coding because it is by far the most relevant course for designers I have ever seen. Even if they wont write a string of code at work, certainly knowing how to read it is important when working to build out a new feature or project and your coworkers will totally appreciate that you can design AND understand how they do what they do! It also is such a grounding experience has now you will understand how your design gets made so you can apply technical knowledge and know what can be feasibly made!
It was really nice to know a little bit of the basics of coding with SheCodesBasic, from here you are able to grow and learn more. After this it's easier to research new languages or get to know more about the ones they teach you.
It was indeed interesting practice and I gain enough amount of knowledge from it.
After a few tries on my own, it was so hard to be consistent in learning how to code or not being anxious about what to learn next. Matt does a great job of explaining the topics and the way each week is set up has helped me to be consistent and learn exponentially. I enjoyed this course thoroughly and look forward to the next one!

SheCodes Basics Workshop was a challenging but informative and enjoyable journey. While I still feel I have a lot more to learn, I am much more familiar with the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and Javascript.

It's been my third course with SheCodes and I could have never imagined I would be able to build a responsive website by my own. This has been a great learning experience and expansion of the mind! π«ΆπΌ
It was worth all the effort, I'm pretty happy with what I've managed to build after the course. For me, the hardest part was to stop rewriting code again and again in an attempt to improve code organization and app designπ.

That was a very challenging experience for me. Even though all the issues were explained quite clearly and thoroughly you still need a lot of effort to be able to implement all the instructions correctly and make it work. I'm really suprized. I didn't expect to learn anything really useful in this course but let me tell you I was wrong. I enjoyed every minute of learning the lessons and practicing . Matt is really a good teacher. He doesn't make things comlicated, and explains everything straight forward with a voice full of compassion. I've had so much fun doing every project and challenge! I'm glad I chose She Codes to learn how to code. It is step-by-step and easy to understand everything.
This is an excellent course that's structured to take you through the entire process of making an online weather app that really works! Going from the HTML/CSS framework, to making the app responsive and integrating the API to include live data, was a huge learning curve for me. Matt gave a thorough overview of how to communicate with and manipulate data from an API, opening up some exciting functionalities to include in the project.
It has been such a pleasure to get new knowledge with SheCodes. I will definitely deal with SheCodes again and recommend to my friends. Happy coding everyone!
