Learning how to code sounded incredibly difficult and I doubted I could learn, but I took a leap of faith and advice from a close friend. SheCodes makes learning coding extremely approachable and easy to follow along. Deadlines exist to keep you accountable for yourself, but there are options for deadline extensions. Also, there's a huge community of fellow students and tutors that are only a message away.
Taking this course provided a sense of accomplishment and the opportunity to explore new interests.

The course was challenging, but also extremely rewarding and I learned a lot of valuable skills that I will carry with me throughout my career. One of the things I appreciated most about this course was the way it was structured. The lessons were broken down into manageable chunks, and each one was followed by exercises to help me apply what I had learned. This was a good workshop to learn the basics for HTML/CSS/JS. The pace was reasonable. The challenges were a good way to immediately practice and reinforce the material presented in the lesson videos.

I really enjoyed taking the SheCodes basic workshop. I had a lot of fun coding the little challenges and the end of the week homework. I was really busy during the time period of the workshop and had to do most of the challenges and homework last minute, but the explanation was so detailed that I did not struggle as much as I taught I would. I really appreciate that Matt himself is teaching the classes and helping his students through the basics of coding. This is a website I would recommend to any women that are interested in coding.

This was a great workshop especially I love how you can work at your own pace. I have been trying to get into the IT Field for 3 years now uncertain on where to start. Hi. My name is Abbey Grant, and I am a second-year college student from Chicago, Illinois. I had a great time learning the basics of coding. I got interested in coding from a high school computer class and decided to try while I have the winter break off. It was a nice way to spend my time with not having any winter college classes. Although it was sometimes frustrating when I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my code and how to fix it, I got excited every time I figured out how to fix it. I will definitely be increasing my coding skills with more classes in the future.

Shecode Basics Graduation
SheCodes Basic was a great way for me to enter into the world of coding! Coding has always looked like a foreign language to me, but SheCodes has broken it down and simplified it to allow for ease in understanding and learning.
I am very happy to finish the SheCodes Responsive workshop. Here I learned how to work with multi-page sites, and also finally understood how to make a working navigation (I always had problems with this :D). Thank you!
I am a backend programmer, and with SheCodes, I'm able to move towards fullstack / frontend programming to understand a system from back to front and vice versa. I really like SheCodes where I learn good and trendy techniques!

A great experience, what I have been trying to learn for years, here IΒ΄ve learned it in only a month. Every lesson had the exact explanation without going much into detail. The practical side is a plus because with coding you have to practice nonstop. Also, the projects were difficult but itΒ΄s the best method to learn with projects that you have to think about and try every CSS and Html tag. It made coding fun than seeing a bunch of tags all rounded up in columns. Highly recommended!

I wish I knew about SheCodes earlier! During grad school, I found it pretty hard to learn how to code, and my professors were never any help but with SheCodes The basics was awesome and so fun to learn. I am now more confident about coding than I ever was!
Shecodes Plus was incredibly challenging but the course guided me through every step and I was able to build a workable weather app. Very pleased with my progress so far!

As a total newbie to the coding world, I am glad that I took this step, and made it to create a landing page by myself! The courses are easy to follow, and the challenges give me chances to review the learning; moreover, to test whether I understand the lesson thoroughly. I have been learning Python for about two years. Until I got acquainted with shecodes courses and after 2 week , I realized that I am more interested in the front-end language than the back-end. This course has step-by-step training and also Challenges and scheduled assignments make me want to finish the course sooner and want to learn more.
It was incredible two weeks in the end of which I was able to create a project myself. I always thought programming was something inaccessible to me, but the academy convinced me of the opposite. All lessons are detailed and understandable, very high quality and thanks to this, the training is comfortable and easy. Thanks for such a wonderful experience!

The SheCodes team's knowledge never fails to impress me. Honestly, I would not be able to complete this project without Matt, the slack community, and the SheCodes team help. After completing SheCodes Basics workshop, I felt accomplished and motivated to keep going. SheCodes Plus was really intense and a roller coaster of emotions, at the same time that I was happy with my progress, I was also panicking trying to find what was causing my code to break (it was misplaced dash btw). To me this workshop feels a lot more "professional", but just like SheCodes Basics, it was so easy to follow the lessons, and there is always someone to help if needed. The lessons are short and straightforward, you can watch as many times as you want and take breaks whenever you feel tired. I love the way you can just sit and learn, this entire workshop was really a privilege.

Loved the flow of the additional project for the basic course. Figuring out the dark theme was a little tricky to switch back and forth but being able to code along with the videos always helps with the understanding and application of the code making it a seamless learning process. β€οΈ

I am so glad that I have the opportunity to study in the SheCodes project. I find the entire content to be very well-organized and easy to understand. I had some coding experiences before but this one was totally different. The team is amazing. It is very comforting and inspiring to have them ready to help all the time. You have access to other participants' projects and it's a wonderful opportunity to learn more. The community is active on Slack and it's growing constantly. Above all, I think the most valuable part of the project is the Delac Foundation which supports women in need all around the world. They offer their programs to a lot of women completely for free.
