This was an intense workshop I must say, but it has given me the foundation for how React works. It was exciting creating different components for the final project and just working through each of them. I am grateful to the SheCodes team for the opportunity.

I had so much fun with this workshop. I was first curious and after taking the free coding workshop I knew I wanted to learn more. Coding has become a fun and creative way to create pages about things I like, while also learning skills to benefit my career growth. Thank you Matt for the easily understandable lessons and fun exercises. I have now enrolled in SheCodes Max to maximize my coding learning from SheCodes. If you're thinking about it, definitely take the plunge and sign up for the Basics workshop to see if coding is for you!

I really enjoyed the course! It was challenging at times but also very fun. A perfect workshop for beginners.
This was a really challenging! JS is something that makes my head turn around, I cannot say that I am completely comfortable with it. The lessons are very clear, watching coding step by step really helps as some things are really confusing. What I like the most โ that Matt is explaining the logics behind every move he makes and underlines that there are more ways to achieve the same result. He pushes to find thing out by myself. Only that I feel that my brain in a bit behind still :) I hope that with time and more coding I will get used to JS and it will get better.
Matt's lessons are very well presented and easy to understand. This course allows you to learn while watching, with hands on challenges and homework. It is also nice to have help when needed on Slack.
I started without knowing about coding at all. It was an enjoyable yet challenging experience. Even though I still have to learn a lot of things. But I am glad to be able to know how code works. I hope I can land my dream job as a website developer soon. Thank you SheCodes team!
React workshop is the last one in a series ofย Shecodes workshops I took part in. It was more tough with challenging homework but finally I could make it with the guidance of my Shecodes tutor Matt via lessons. The skills from this workshop will be really invaluable! I thought that I was going to have the hardest time learning abut html, css and javascript. It was definitely challenging but knowing how they all work together in harmony made it easier to learn and understand. I'm looking forward to diving into the world of code more.

I have particularly enjoyed this course because it's definitely boosted my confidence when it comes to JS functions. I do admit React can be quite counterintuitive at times but Matt has done an excellent job at explaining the process step-by-step. SheCodes makes learning really fun with a great balance of theory, practicals and code-a-long videos. I've found that the structure of the lessons has helped me to pick up concepts quickly and you do feel you have achieved something each week with the homework tasks. I've also picked up lots of tools and tips that aren't necessarily taught in other self-learning platforms I've tried.
That was a great course. I was really happy to gain new knowledge and to improve skills I have already gained during the first course.I highly recommend to take this course and study with a fun. You definitely won't regret it.
The responsive course confirmed my love for design and its endless possibilities of it. The course was well thought out, with enough guidance to point you in the direction of further learning. I ended up getting lost in the world of CSS and the creative ways to make websites responsive - though I wouldn't have been able to do this without the help of the Responsive course.
I am so grateful to this course for showing me React. I really enjoyed the React course, and though I found vanilla Javascript challenging, React's simplicity surprised me. The lessons were clear and well-paced, with enough time provided to finish the course within the allotted time frame. I am so happy with the final version of my Weather App, though I am sure there is so much more I can do once I develop my React knowledge.
I started SheCodes workshops with 0 idea of coding and after completing 3 levels I feel I am learning a lot super quickly. I love the lesson materials, homework and assistance we receive. It's helping me expand my knowledge so much in a field that was completely unknown for me.
I had super fun with the course! The videos are short and explain the material in just the right depth. The course is structured in such a way that you can manage your time very well without getting into a time crunch. The website is clearly laid out and fun to work with.
SheCodes Plus was an in-depth workshop. Appreciate all of the great examples.
I am a complete beginner to coding (minus some very basic CSS tweaks back in the days of tumblr) and I found this workshop to be simple yet challenging, straightforward & easy-to-learn, and overall, it really got me excited about a future in tech. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, and I will absolutely be continuing with the rest of the workshops SheCodes has to offer!
My husband is a web developer and has always encouraged me to learn how to code. I wasn't sure if I would like it so was looking for an introductory course that I could fit around working and being a mom of two young kids. I liked how I could do the lessons from home at times that suited me. The home work deadlines kept me accountable and encouraged me to stick to my learning schedule. Matt is a great instructor and my favourite part of the course was the challenges.

I highly recommend SheCodes Basic to anyone who's interested in web development. This course is a great introduction to HTML/CSS and JavaScript. The instructions were very easy to understand and follow. I took web development courses before and I wasn't really satisfied with them but I absolutely enjoyed this workshop.
First of all, when I got my courses I wasn't sure to start and what if I couldn't understand and result in just disappointment. But when I started to learn with this great and flexible schedule, all those feelings disappeared. I highly recommend this platform, just do it and start it. The introduction to coding workshop was very exciting and it was pretty awesome. I was able to learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a short amount of time. Matt made it easy to understand and the lessons were well-organized and easy to follow. I liked that it had hands-on challenges as well as projects so I could really get a feel for what I was learning. Each section is always something fresh and new. There is enough repetition to create muscle memory, but not so much that it is painful.

It was damn hard and took a lot of time to understand and finish 2 projects but it was really interesting) React and JS give such a huge field to try some new stuff and to do some experiments. Sometimes I was just losing track of time) But the course is really giving a lot of new knowledge and practical experience) Definitely will recommend it to my friends)

Round 3 of SheCodes workshops was as informative, interesting and entertaining as the first. I was able to use many of the HTML and CSS techniques we learned in Basics and Plus. I really enjoyed the creative freedom we got for this portfolio project. Though there were some moments of confusion and stress with my code, I was able to pull through with the help of Matt's lecture videos and the slack chats of fellow SheCodes students. I am really happy with my project and I can't wait to start on SheCodes React and Add-on projects.
I loved this workshop! I feel so much more prepared and knowledgeable on React, especially on VSCode, and feel like I can even start making my own projects on my own :) I will take what I've learned into new coding endeavors and future jobs!

This was a tough but rewarding add-on. As a person who uses dark theme on all platforms that allow it, I can't imagine not learning how to build a dark theme toggle button myself. So glad I did!

Seeing my first React projects live and working is a huge satisfaction, I have to admit. However, during the SheCodes React workshop, I felt I couldn't gain organic skills, as some crucial pieces of information were missing and some topics were treated quite hastily.
It was a great continuation of the Basic course, can't wait to start the next one and learn more ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ป

What I loved was that everything is explained very clearly and going through the workshop is very straightforward. You get plenty of moments to practice.
