The workshop provided a fantastic foundation in web development, starting from the very basics to more advanced concepts. The instructors explained everything clearly, making complex topics easy to understand. I love that the videos were short. I particularly enjoyed the hands-on, simple projects that allowed me to apply what I learned right away. By the end of the workshop, I felt confident in creating my basic web pages and adding interactive features. A great plus that I found from the instructor, Matt, is that he provides tips and best practices so we can become better developersβorganised, structured, agile, and professional.

Creating this project helped me realize how powerful code can be in expressing the things I love and believe in. I used HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build something meaningful, not just a website, but a reflection of my faith and daily life in church. Through this process, I learned how to make websites interactive using functions, prompts, and dynamic content. I also discovered how creative coding can be when you connect it to something personal. Iβm proud of what I created and excited to grow even more in my coding journey. This project has built both my confidence and curiosity!

The SheCodes Python Basics Course is a great starting point for true beginners. Coming from an engineering background, some of the lessons felt a bit more foundational than I needed, but I appreciated how the lessons were broken down into simple, manageable steps. The structure and bite-sized format made it easy to follow along and return to the material even after a long break. The course helped me build a solid foundation in Python, and I'm excited to take my skills to the next level.
As I progress through the SheCodes Workshops, Iβve come to realize just how much I enjoy coding. It challenges me to think differently and gives me the freedom to be creative in ways I never expected. I think it was pretty easy to follow, although I would've liked more thorough explanations on how and why things are like they, but I understand this is a basics bootcamp so it might be just that. I also liked the simplicity of the projects that encompassed everything we learned.

Just wrapped up the Basics Add-On workshop in less than 24 hours! It builds on theory taught in the original Basics course, diving deeper into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with additional advanced concepts, providing you with the tools to build and implement a code that takes you from vision β approach β end product you desire.

This workshop gave a solid overview of what advanced JavaScript can do. Building a world clock was a practical way to explore useful features and the examples of more complex interactions were clear and easy to follow. A good next step for anyone looking to go beyond the basics.
Challenging but overall learning a ton.
Learning React was a rollercoaster but a valuable one. I managed to confuse myself multiple times but referring back to Matt's videos always helped. Real sense of achievement here and I think with more practice, React could be a game changer!
It was very interesting and exciting to learn new features with CSS. It's challenging but in a good way. I enjoyed every moment of it!

The first three weeks were amazing β I learned a lot and was genuinely looking forward to the basic add-on week. Every day, I engaged fully with the classes, and a question that had been lingering in the back of my mind was finally answered: "Is this all we can do with CSS?" Now I understand that those initial weeks were just to build a strong foundation. With that groundwork in place, weβre now diving into more advanced and exciting possibilities β and itβs truly thrilling. I find myself wanting to learn even more!

Wow, this was the most fun Iβve had learning in a long time. I come from an HR background, where we tend to live in the black and white. But coding? Iβm loving it, because gray is more than okay. There are so many ways to solve a problem and it gives creative minds the freedom to think outside the box. Little me, who used to code her MySpace page, would be extremely proud that we came back to this passion.

Completing the SheCodes Basics workshop was such a rewarding experience! I really loved the pace of the lessons and the step-by-step roadmapβit made learning to code feel manageable and even exciting.

It was exciting to see my progress come to life, and Iβve learned so much along the way. (Also did external researching as well!) This part of the curriculum is what it is all about, making real websites! What I really appreciated was I had to use an extension because one of my birds had to go to the emergency vet, and I was able to take care of the emergency I had in my life and SheCodes was there waiting for when I could get back to work. What a rollercoaster! It wasn't an easy workshop for me, however the knowledge I gained from it was definitely worth it. React was very intimidating and hard for me at first, but now I enjoy coding with it instead of vanilla JS. Looking forward to REACT Add-On π!!!

I have really been enjoying SheCodes so far. I've learnt a lot in a short period of time. The workshops are self-paced, so you can adjust your schedule to them. You have small challenges within almost every lesson, which give you good practice ahead of the final project, and allow you to have momentum, so that you remember what you've been working on. I signed up for the Bootcamp, so I'm very excited about what's still ahead and to keep expanding my knowledge in the software development world.

Learning React was one of the most challenging parts of my coding journey so far β and also one of the most rewarding. At first, the logic behind components, state, and props felt overwhelming. I questioned whether Iβd be able to understand it all. But step by step, it started making sense. I kept pushing, practicing, and slowly, things clicked. Seeing my app come to life with real-time data and interactive features gave me a huge sense of achievement. If youβre afraid to start learning React, I completely understand β I was too. But donβt let fear stop you. You donβt need to βget it allβ from day one. Just start. Keep going. Trust the process.
