I got laid off in December and struggled to find work as a UX designer. The UX market isn't great at the moment and I can see there are a lot of developer opportunities, so I decided to upskill in coding. After learning coding from Matt, I upgraded to Max. I am looking forward to continuing my journey as a front-end developer.

Fun little project that looks nice without too much effort. It's a bit of a challenge to make it responsive without using bootstrap or the other techniques learnt in the main responsive workshop, but it's cool that Matt shows us different ways :)

SheCodes Next is definitely a must to be guided for my future tech career after all SheCodes workshops I took. I got so much advice on building a good resume and so much more.

I would like to thank the Delac Foundation for giving me the chance to experience coding as a beginner. I believe with the knowledge I have now I am ready to learn more from here onward. The scheduled submission dates made me aware that I need to work on my time management. overall the it was experience that I will gladly take again if given a chance. The Delac Foundation gave me the opportunity to be part of their program in which I have been able to learn how to code web pages from scratch. In this second opportunity I have been able to learn more in depth about how Javascript works from APIs. This SheCodes course is very easy to understand and execute, the schedule is already planned out for you. The skills you learn open up opportunities for the learner and also provide a starting point to continue their studies.

I loved learning about html when I was in highschool but I was told there wouldn't be a future in it by the staff of my college, but they were wrong. I'm very grateful to SheCodes for giving me a second chance to further my knowledge on something that I loved.

I have been able to make my page responsive using grid and media queries. How to build good nav bars and footers and create a beautiful portfolio myself.

SheCodes is a very convenient program for learning to code especially if you are a beginner. Matt is such a great instructor, everything was made clear and you were given a schedule that you had to work with which made sure that you were not left behind and you were up to date with your work.

My experience with SheCodes has been a breeze. I was able to complete this workshop within 3 days due to the easy explanations and highly engaging content. I recommend this to anyone that wishes to learn code regardless of the intention.

I would still strongly recommend Shecodes as there is always something new to learn - I never knew how to do a light switch but I learned that in this add on module - Doing shecodes is very easy and the flexibility is perfect for those how have busy lifestyles to learn something new! Phenominal!

This workshop helped me broaden my interests and was super easy to follow. While (very!) challenging, the step-by-step approach made it easy to follow and learn the classes and I was always very eager to complete the challenges and the weekly homeworks. The Slack channels help you with any questions you may have and there is always someone there to help you! I will for sure continue to learn with SheCodes! :)

I was a psychology major in college and I took a gap year for my sophomore year in college to do SheCodes, this is a surprise to myself considering my major and the fact that I learned everything with ease feels magical.

Enjoyed this part of the course where I got to build my own portfolio page, pulling together everything I have learned so far. This has really helped me to develop ideas further and make sure what I create is user friendly on all platforms

Thoroughly enjoy the basics course. Great set up for people looking to combine work and study. I would highly recommend the basics workshop from SheCodes if you have no previous coding experience .

I really enjoyed this workshop. It was short, but I learn a lot. The project in this workshop made me understand more HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I loved the three-week SheCodes Basics workshop so much I signed up for SheCodes Max! I learned so much in the Basics Add-On workshop and it really helped me feel better about the skills I learned in the last workshop, and Matt's ability to really explain things in a helpful way makes me feel more comfortable going into the next workshop(s).

I really enjoyed building the dictionary app. I have learned so much from the add-on it is not easy however I have a much greater understanding after doing the React and the Add-on workshops.

Enrolling in coding courses was an incredibly transformative experience for me. As someone with no prior programming knowledge, I was initially apprehensive, but SheCodes courses provided an exellent foundation. It is truly amazing how the lessons have opened up a world of opportunities in the tech industry.

After doing every other curriculum in SheCodes, returning back to the basics and STILL learning more and more things is jaw dropping - it was extremely fun working with just barebones HTML, CSS and JS and finding out just how powerful they can be without anything fancy adding onto it :)

These three weeks of the Basic SheCodes workshop were very interesting. It gave me a basic understanding of how coding works. It also helped me realize that coding is still very fascinating to me.

SheCodes has been such an amazing journey. I definitely would recommend anyone wanting to learn to code. The videos and interaction make it a breeze to go through and mostly you have access to people who are on the journey with you to assist you. I love that you are still able to do this while working and at your own pace and from home. Matt is amazing and explains everything in such good detail.

Great course, totally head scratching but videos, explanations and help is great so you get there in the end, loved it! Now for the next one :-)!

It is honestly amazing how much I have learnt over these past 8 weeks and would certainly recommend SheCodes workshops to my peers. You may think it is rocket science but when tutored by Matt, he makes learning code seem effortless with his step by step teaching style.

Was interesting

I loved getting to know deeper HTML, CSS & JS code with the exercises of building search engines. I can use the knowledge learned to research more efficiently for digital design and editing-related work which is a bonus I did not expect. I'm looking forward to building my own web pages and integrating what I've learned into other parts of my creative work.

I enjoyed everything about SheCodes Basic and am thinking of continuing onto the next level! The instructor is very clear, the videos are bite-sized and easy to digest. There is a challenge after every video, to put in practice everything that we learn, followed by a solution to compare code and learn new things. The slack community offer a first port of call for queries and doubts. I highly recommend this short course to learn the ropes about HTML, JS and CSS.

SheCodes plus was a really fun experience for me and I learned a lot.
