The SheCodes team was very nice and provided plenty of resources to help get through the tough challenges.
This workshop really ties everything that we've learned so far together. It isn't too difficult to follow along with the videos to code alongside the instructor, and it's nice to be able to listen as he talks through how he is troubleshooting when something doesn't work as predicted.
This was a bit challenging but so much fun to learn.

As a total beginner with absolutely 0 knowledge about coding whatsoever, I'd say this was an excellent introduction to the world of coding. Matt is a great teacher and explains everything in simple words which makes it super easy to grasp. Also, love that he didn't spoon feed the concepts and made his students use their knowledge & logic to complete assignments.
I love learning with shecodes! Great and simple instructions. The homework and challenges keeps you on your toes to meet the deadlines. They make learning fun after you see what can be done with simple coding. Cant wait for the next level!
Before this program, I was afraid of being unable to keep up with the lesson and assignments. The layout of each lesson with its accompanying video makes each concept easy to understand. Sometimes I felt unsure or needed extra assistance, but I was thankful for the forums where I could ask questions and see how others might have solved the same issue.

As someone who has always been curious about programming but never knew where to start, this class was perfect for me. From day one, it was evident that the instructor was an expert in the field and a gifted educator. Matt has the ability to break down complex concepts into easy follow-along steps. The class welcomed questions and fostered an environment where everyone felt comfortable asking for help. It was satisfying to witness my code come to life and solve intricate problems step-by-step.

This workshop was sooo exciting! I canβt believe how much I have learned in the last weeksβ¦ Although it was harder than expectedβ¦ I took me longer than planned since I am a mom of two under 5, and you knowβ¦ life happensβ¦there were days that Iβve ended up sleeping at 3am, so I can code in peace and quiet β¦ But I was so hooked to coding, (and sometimes Iβve got frustrated since I have zero background on coding)β¦ right now I can say that I have built a functional app all from scratchβ¦ I just want to keep learning more and moreβ¦ and see where this coding journey would take me. The dictionary project is a fun project overall. However, I found a notable issue with the integration of the Pexels API for image display. It seems this part of the workshop is significantly outdated, going by the oldest Slack messages, which date back about two months (as far as I could find). Despite API changes and a different authorization process, the lesson continues to rely on the outdated method. Surprisingly, the project's GitHub repository hasn't seen any updates for an entire year. Mind you, the lesson in question is only 30 minutes long. Inquiries on Slack about these concerns received a canned response stating that the Pexels API underwent recent changes. This led to the existing setup being dysfunctional, without an updated lesson. Instead, a new Images API was suggested as a replacement when asking for help in the Slack messenger. I believe a notice within the lesson itself about the changed API integration would be appropriate. Other lessons have included such notices before, so it's puzzling why it's missing here. This could save others from unnecessary frustration when grappling with a broken method. To those taking on this project, be prepared for potential roadblocks due to this outdated API setup. It's disappointing that such a significant flaw hasn't been addressed more proactively.
I thought coding would be hard but the workshop explains everything so well and it makes it so easy. In only two weeks I can create a website. I already know html, css and java script, I am exited to continue learning. I love shecodes.

I thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes basic workshop. CSS , Html and Javascript went from being things that were foreign to me ,to being coding languages whose functionality made sense to me. The reviews for the homework we had to submit weekly , helped me improve my work and always served as a learning opportunity.

What can I say about She Codes? I am transitioning to UX, and a friend of mine has recommended She Codes. I was a little bit scared because I had never thought about working with coding. And then I started the course, and I can say that Matt's teaching, the way the course is conducted, the challengesβeverything helped me achieve a very good performance. I've just discovered that I love coding, and as Matt says, "coding is really fun."

It was amazing working on the challenges and getting to solve them by myself. This was an amazing journey and an informative one, I have learnt a lot about coding and web development.
Such a great workshop! It is key if you want to make your webpages responsive, aka good-looking in mobile devices, which is of course crucial if you want to become a front-end dev. As with the other workshops I've done so far, Matt explains everything in a completely understandable manner. I love how we can follow everything step by step, even what to do when we make a mistake! It gives us the necessary tools to do what we are supposed to with some confidence on the way. It's naturalness makes it more attainable. I also feel that little by little I manage to ask less for help, not because I know everything, but because I have the tools to find the answers I need by myself. Looking forward to the Responsive Adds-on and SheCodes React!
