It was great, I highly recommend it.
I have always wanted to start my career in tech. But as someone who always worked as an office assistant, it was hard to move into that field. This course allowed me to learn and gain experience in tech. Hopefully, by the end of this, I will be able to step out of being an assistant and become something I want to be and do something I enjoy.
Great that more opportunities to create projects were added. Has helped me better understand formats and as well build my portfolio better!

I really like how Matt explains everything in an easy way and also lets you know the most common mistakes to watch out for. As well as give us examples and tools to find solutions online. I've been learning a lot!

I enjoyed the structure of SheCodes video lessons. They gave enough detail to understand the concepts, while being short enough to keep your attention, and stay manageable. I enjoyed the small challenges and homework, because these were great ways to practice the concepts.

I am very grateful to Matt for helping me learn how to code via Shecodes. I am a mom to an 8 month old baby and it was not easy having to attend class and take care of my baby at the same time. However the way this workshop was design, it made it easy for me to learn whenever I was free. Due to this program I am now very much interested in doing more coding and furthering my studies.

Very good and intensive course on building responsive websites. Great experience on how to work with all the aspects of HTML and CSS, Bootstrap and other web development tools. I have learned a lot of new skills. Perfect example how a web developer job could look like for a agency or small business.
I feel delighted and impressed to see the progress I have made upon completing the introductory course. I started the course without knowing anything about programming, and during these weeks, I successfully coded and completed my projects. I am very excited about the idea of continuing to learn and thus achieving new professional opportunities. Having completed the SheCodes Basics program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum as it involved a new programming language (Javascript). However, from day one, Matt's lessons were comprehensive, the community was supportive. As I said in the previous testimonial I gave on completing the Basics, what I appreciated most about the SheCodes was the emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning. Instead of just reading about coding concepts in a textbook or watching lectures, we were actually coding from day one. Not only did this help solidify the concepts we were learning, but it also made the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. It's undeniable that there were hard times but going through the videos and working on the weekly projects helped me get better at it. I spent weeks trying to learn HTML, CSS, and Java script. Matt explained it clearly in 3 days. I learned how to implement new design ideas and use basic functions. I am extremely impressed by this workshop. Since the workshop is go at your own pace, I completed the entire workshop in 3 days time and built a basic functional website that is appealing. Thank you!

Within 3 weeks with SheCodes, I've learnt how to do a landing page that I'm proud of. I can say that SheCodes helped with my confidence and self-esteem in this last few weeks. Matt is an absolutely amazing teacher, explaining everything step-by-step so we don't get lost and the Slack team always helps if you don't know how to fix even a minimal thing on your code. This workshop is incredible!
I didn't start off as a complete beginner but I learned so much. I was able to expand upon what I already knew as well as add some new skills to my skill set. The workshop was fun and really challenged me. I loved it!
Learning React has been one of the biggest challenges in this code journey. It really helps structuring several pieces of JavaScript with components. Although it was complicated to understand at first, it is something very powerful to acquire in order to simplify and divide code to build bigger and sophisticated web applications.
i have learnt alot from this programme, when i started i had little knowledge on developing web pages, now i am competing in the challenges which helps in practicing my coding. The homework and challenges really pushed me to research and implement new concepts.

Learning how to code was the best decision I chose. I took a gap year this year to decide what I really want to do has my career. There were so many things that I wished would have been different, that it would take me a really long time to mention them all. Most importantly: I really thing the videos should be revised. There are things that are outdated (like using clearfix) and no longer in use, tools that now have different versions (like bootstrap and netlify) which makes it harder to follow through the videos. But the lowest point is the lack of proper feedback on homework and (even more shocking for me) the final projects. It's "your solution works" kind of feedback. Personally, as someone who is learning to code, it's not *just* about the code working, I could really use feedback on how I could write it more clearly, etc. Otherwise I could just use an html/css/js validator and get pretty much the same answer. It's really a shame and I hope it changes in the future, because otherwise what's the difference between doing this or a full curse on udemy that costs 15β¬? One really wonders. Also bear in mind that unless you have nothing else going on in your life, 5 days a week is not enough to complete the week.
This was definitely my favorite part of the whole package and course: it was pretty hard at some point but I feel that I had already enough knowledge to handle it an better understand certain concepts and the logic behind them. I feel that there is still a along way to go but I definitely got a good base to start with

They navigated me through this journey with such great ease and structure. On the days when it seemed like I just couldn't pull through, they ensured that I had access to all the necessary resources and they have such an amazing support community that's eager and ready to help at each step through the program.
