What an amazing course, it was great to get the general idea of coding. I was not sure what to expect but if you are wondering if should - YOU SHOULD! I did not think we would get so much information and the lessons are really well developed and structured, you can spend as much or as little time as needed. Once started you will be hooked.
This is probably the best thing I have ever done for myself. Learning these skills has been one of the most rewarding experiences. I love that I am challenging myself. The lessons made it so you still had to figure things out for yourself, which really makes figuring things out yourself an even more satisfying experience.

Hiπ I am Olwethu, a student from South Africa. I have always been fascinated by coding, and it has been a goal of mine to learn how to code. I am really grateful to SheCodes for creating such an opportunity for women to learn to code, a goal that I thought would be unattainable has become attainable. I have thoroughly enjoyed every lesson and task that we have done, I am always showing my loved ones my projects and the new skills that have learnt. Furthermore, coding has become my escape, whenever I am stressed by my academics and other things happening around me coding has helped in relieving my stress and anxiety. The Basics Add-On went further into Basics course material, and the fundamentals I had previously learned allowed me to easily grasp and apply the new techniques presented.
For me it was very challenging but in the end I still cannot believe i designed my own weather app . . Matt was able to simplify each lesson and the team were very supportive in answering our question when we were stuck . I highly recommend this workshop to any one who wants to gain a new skill
