Learning to code was something that was in the back of my mind for awhile and since goin in and out of college I knew I loved it. For the last three years, I worked in the food industry, and even though I enjoyed my job I knew I wanted to explore a new field I wanted . This year I found myself with more time on my hands and decided that I wanted to explore coding. I wanted to expand my knowledge of the tech world, what it had to offer, and what my role could be within it. Honestly this is just the beginning of the course and its so much info and I love it.
Learning how to create a multi-page project was a challenge that I have learned to overcome. Thankfully, with the available help provided, I was able to construct the website and publish it on Netlify.
Great course! The learning curve is quite steep, and you will almost certainly hit bumps in the road over these few weeks. But I really enjoyed the repetition we got in the final couple of weeks, to contextualize everything we've gone over so far. I am always amazed at how much I have progressed and learned by the end of each workshop and it is also true for the responsive workshop. The responsive workshop is by far my favourite one, we got to learn about media queries, and CSS variables, and also build on the learning from previous workshops. Matt's explanation for each new information we are learning is easy to understand and follow as well as how the learning can be applied in different ways.

SheCodes has introduced me to the world of creating websites which is what I have been wanting to do. This is such a great opportunity that I am grateful for. The lessons are well paced and well explained.
It was highly challenging and I found myself in the thought "I don't want help, I will try to do this on my own" I wanted to be competitive with the others in the sense I didn't need to be rescued. But, I was the one who required to be saved at some lesson to complete the course. Having a goal made it even more fun. I recommend implementing a goal to have fun and feel like it is worth it.
I'm so glad I found such a great project. I liked everything, Matt explains it in an understandable way, and you can immediately test your knowledge in the Challenges. I would like more practice in javascript, but this is just the beginning, so probably more to come. Thank you very much to the team for creating an educational community for women.
