I have FINALLY finished the SheCodes React Add-ons Course after starting and stopping throughout last year. Building the weather application in React was tricky but the step-by-step videos broke down the process. I am proud that I have learnt to use React and used functions, use states and Axios for this project.
Interesting, challenging journey that taught me a lot about coding and how to overcome my own doubts about me being able to do it. As Matt often says This was "Very Powerful"!
So far it has been super easy to learn. All weeks are very well structured, and the method of presenting new information is fun and motivating to learn even more. Also, i find very interesting the way we are teased to go learn on our own and it really feels like a game to me. Pretty happy by now :) I'm excited to see what's next!

Great workshop! Learning React was both challenging and inspiring. There were many moments that could have easily overwhelmed me (and sometimes did!), but as Matt says, "Take a breath and slow it down." After the Weather App, the Time Zone app is another milestone for me. I learned how to manipulate different locations dates and times. Also, I tried using some more advanced CSS which I learned in my previous lessons in the current project.

This course is amazing, it's way too good explain and I like a lot how even though the tasks ans weekly challenge are not completely difficult, they challenge me a lot every time and proved I'm more capable of what I thought.
As someone with zero experience in coding, I had a rough start with SheCodes basic. Once I got the hang of it though, it all started to click and I enjoyed the challenge. I learned so much in a short amount of time. I will be moving on the Plus course soon and I am excited to learn more and achieve my learning goals.
Shecodes crossed my path through my TikTok 'for you page', the gal was talking about a free coding workshop. I thought "It's free, why not check it out?". I missed the live workshop and to my surprise, I received a email with a recording of the workshop. While watching the workshop, I was thoroughly engaged through the entire video and thought "Oh my goodness, this is cool!" I knew I wanted to learn coding! I immediately contacted Shecodes to register. Silly me, I choose to start the workshop right before the holidays, which halted my progress a bit. After the beginning of the year, I began to focus. Learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript through the basics workshop has been exciting although I didn't realize it was going to come with some other emotional experiences. It was fun, challenging and frustrating; I even cried a few times. Through all of it, figuring things out, being able to complete the challenges and the homework; then have everything make sense with the Project is beyond personally rewarding!
