What I liked most about SheCodes is its practical approach. Instead of simply learning theoretical concepts, I was able to apply what I learned immediately through practical projects. Coding is totally new to me. I dedicated all my life to health and science. I've always liked programming/tech, but I've never studied it, so I'm in a completely new area. I'm enjoying learning this new skill set from Matt and the SheCodes team, there are definitely times where it is frustrating and complicated but Matt's videos are pretty detailed and the team is available to help on Slack. I never would have thought I would have been able to build a "weather app."

Out of all the online course to learn coding, this has helped me the most. The way Matt explains things without necessarily using technical jargon straight away has helped me understanding things more than I thought I would. In actual fact, I didn't think I would get this far or be able to code at all!
I enjoyed the coursework, they were easy to understand. And I loved Shecodes responsive so much! After finishing the project,I can build websites and make them responsive. Highly recommend it to any lady, looking to start their front-end development journey!
It is always requires a lot of courage to make a step towards your dreams. For me, IT was always a broad concept associated with excessive amount of terms and rules and you need to know which one to choose from millions of them to implement into functionable project. Seemed pretty difficult until I decided not to judge the book by its cover. I am pretty excited that I made a decision to start coding with SheCodes. Since the very start the team led by instructor Matt was super supportive. Matt has this ability to put it straight to the core making the process of learning fun and efficient.
It was harder than the basics one, as expected, but Matt made it so much easier to understand complex things

I enjoyed the coursework. They were easy to understand and in case something wasn't clear, I could just go back and rewatch the videos without a problem. The challenges made me think outside the box for the code to work. All in all, it has been a fun experience.
I can honestly say despite the challenges I faced. I had a fun time learning how to do the basics in coding. I'm excited for the next workshop and will definitely use any notes and printouts I made to keep going forward. The simplest thing can mess up your code from; spacing, wrong quotation, putting the wrong ending or even spelling. So take your time, breathe, and keep trying even when it seems like you did the same thing over and over. You got this.

Embarking on SheCodes Basics program was fun and educating but, I experienced difficulty because I didn't have a laptop of my own. I had to write the code on my phone, copy it and send it to my flash so I can use a friend's laptop. All the same I graduated... In the beginning starting the foundation, it was exciting to start learning something new but at the same time anxious because I did not know anything about coding. Getting started with the workshops under the leadership and guidance of Mat has been great because he explains very well and it is easy to understand his teaching method. Doing the homework and projects was challenging but a good way to practice what was taught.
This workshop was really fun! I really enjoyed how challenging it was and all the new things I learned. This definitely felt a lot more advanced as well!
I am refreshing on a lot of coding skills while learning new tricks and coding styles. It is very fun to work on the projects and see my code working in real time.
I was glad to have learned the use of APIs through building this weather app. The course is a challenging one and I'm looking forward to knowing more about the frameworks mentioned at the end.

This workshop provided me with insights into advanced CSS techniques. Additionally, I received an introduction to the Document Object Model (DOM), during which I learned how to locate DOM elements using selectors and experimented with events. I recommend this add-on.

This workshop was great and I learned many new techniques while building upon those taught previously. Completing this add-on workshop allowed me to build my project without using Bootstrap and really benefited my coding skills and troubleshooting techniques. Although the videos are quite comprehensive, you do have to spend time figuring out other things for yourself. But it's all part of the learning process - and it is quite fun.

I really enjoyed this coding workshop. I've previously done coding so it was nice to do a refresher and also see how much has changed since I last put my coding skills in to practice alongside a better understanding of the structure. Matt explains each section clearly, breaking down difficult areas of code to get a clearer outlook on how code works, and the content and the challenges were engaging. Looking forward to continuing my coding journey into Front End :)
